My breath hitched up in my throat as I looked away from Darryl to Tess’s body on the floor, I couldn’t believe my eyes, it all felt like I was dreaming. Yes, it has to be it, I have to be dreaming, Darryl couldn’t have killed Tess, no, but what am I looking at? What am I seeing? Tess is lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit open, just like Tony and Cassie and Darryl is standing beside her with the weapon of action in his hand, the blood on it as evidence.

/"It’s not what you think, Aria, I didn’t do this,/" a shaky voice called me out of my thoughts and I stared at him, /"I met her like this, I swear to you./"

/"Yo-you…you killed Tess,/" I called out huskily.
