1 God

[MC POV]

Finishing the last episode of One Punch Man I exhale in excitement.

"Damn that was flashy!"

Watching as master and disciple clashed was exhilarating, to say the least. The battle had tension and unwillingness laced with every action, however, at the same time, both sides had the passion to protect their beliefs.

While musing to myself about the odds of who would have won in a fight between Bang and Bomb. A streaking flash of light descends from above incinerating my house and me along with it.

I died, in a rather flashy way, might I add.

...

As my consciousness slowly returns, I look around in a dazed manner.

Squinting, or what I believe to be, I quickly take in my surroundings. White.

Yep, that's all I saw...

Maybe that wasn't the best way to describe it but, that's literally all I saw. It wasn't like a white room where the edges were defined, and the walls had a certain texture to them. No, what I was looking at was just the color white.

Readjusting my thoughts, I try to recall the last thing that happened to me before losing consciousness.

Thinking for a minute, I finally recall watching the last episode of One Punch Man season 2. Although, after that, I'm not entirely sure what happened.

I suppose I'm probably dead and in limbo or something, seeing as I can move around and all.

Startling me out of my thoughts about the afterlife, a soothing voice echoed throughout the room.

"Hello child, welcome to the afterlife, I'm God" The voice said in a calm but firm voice.

Startled, I timidly replied, "So 'God' am I really dead?"

"Yes"

As the realization that I was actually dead set in, I started losing focus.

Did my 21 years of life end just like that?

I still had things I wanted to watch.

I still had unfinished manga to read.

What was the One Piece?

"Child, calm your mind, accept death," God voiced.

"What do you mean "accept death"? Do you really think it's that easy to accept the fact that I died"

"No, I just wanted to stop you from asking yourself any more stupid questions," God remarked.

"Stupid questions? The truth behind the One Piece is practically the biggest mystery of the century," I coldly stated.

"Sure," God replied curtly before continuing, "Anyways I may or may not have accidentally been the cause of your death, so I'll do something special for you. I'll send you to a random world of fiction"

Startled that god had a hand in my death, I was fuming, but hearing the next set of words I practically forgot all about my death.

"A random world of fiction? Doesn't that mean that I could be sent to an anime world?"

"Great, it looks like your 'brain' still works," God remarked sarcastically.

"Okay, Okay, stupid question. Anyways, how are we going to choose?"

"With this," As God finished replying, a massive wheel, about 4 meters tall appeared on the blank white canvas.

The wheel was decorated with many colors and had a single slim arrow at the very bottom of the wheel. Looking closer at the wheel, many names were present. Such as Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Demon Slayer, One Punch Man, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, One Piece, etc.

Looking at the variety of names I was practically drooling like I was looking at a buffet. Although one could argue that most of those worlds were scarily dangerous, I couldn't care less at the moment. I mean, I just died a second ago so it probably wouldn't matter too much to me if I died again. Anyways, thinking about situations optimistically always makes life flashier.

"Here we go," God says abruptly.

With God's words, the wheel starts to accelerate.

I stare at the little slim arrow at the bottom of the wheel, practically beseeching it to give me an anime world.

Wheel-sama, don't let me down.

It didn't, because the very next second the wheel slowly spun to a stop at the section designated to the world of One Punch Man.

As soon as the wheel stopped, I could already hear the theme of One Punch Man slowly coursing through my brain.

"Hmmm... The world of One Punch Man, that'll be interesting," God mused before continuing, "You'll also get to change your appearance if you so desire"

As God dropped another bombshell on me, I stuttered to respond.

"Well, my name is Tengen, so do you think you could make me look like Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer?"

"Sure," God responded curtly.

As soon as I heard God's confirmation, I started to imagine myself as the handsome devil and a smile couldn't help but creep onto my 'face'.

Excited to start my new life, I was about ready to ask God to send me through when I suddenly remembered something.

"Hold up, am I supposed to go into the world of One Punch Man without any powers or systems?"

Although I didn't really mind if I died, it would be kind of a bummer to be powerless in a world like One Punch Man.

"Hmmm... I suppose it would be boring if you didn't have any powers," God thoughtfully said.

Boring? What does he take me for, Entertainment? I guess he kind of does...

"Okay, I suppose I'll be generous and gift you with something special," God said before continuing, "Off you go now!"

Although God was kind of a jerk, I'm still immensely grateful to him for giving me this second chance.

Hopefully, the next time we meet, I will have power equal to that of a god.
