Back on the marine boat, Alex and Shanks continued their attacks on the marines, now even more efficiently as their haki was a crucial boost to their ability to fight large numbers of enemies and dodge attacks from all directions.

The two little psychopaths laughed while mowing down marines and leaving them unconscious or on the verge of death. Eventually the boys jumped backwards away from a group of marines as a large object flew through the air before landing on the ground in front of them, hitting the marines.

A man groaned and stood up. "Nice dodge." He said to Alex and Shanks.

"You look rough, Dragon. Need to tag out for a moment?" Shanks asked as he looked up at the man who did this to Dragon.

Bogard looked down at the three and waited for them to charge at him.

Dragon wiped his lips. "I can hold him off for a while longer. Besides, I think you two have bigger troubles."

Alex and Shanks suddenly sensed danger. They both looked in the same direction to see two girls walking towards them while swaying their hips.

"Darling~!" Maya called out.

Shanks sighed. "You remember what we said about missing these two?"

Alex nodded.

"I take that back." Shanks finished.

Alex laughed. "Yeah, me too."

The two boys ran at their respective opponents, Maya unsheathed a sword and met Shanks's sword. Shanks smiled as he started to overpower her and push her back.

However, Maya suddenly spat at him. Shanks yelped and dodged the spit as he jumped backwards.

Shanks traced the trajectory of the spit as it hit the deck before noticing that it started to sizzle and make a hole in the deck. Shanks gulped. "That's new…"

Maya giggled as she hit Shanks with a kick while he wasn't paying attention and he went flying into a wall across the ship.

Maya laughed as she soru'd towards Shanks and slashed her sword down. Shanks quickly rose to his feet and deflected the attack before using soru to gain distance. His eyes started scanning for openings as Maya ran at him with a crazed smile on her lips. "Darling~!"

Shanks tuned out her voice and focused on the air around her and tried to feel her intentions. His newly awakened haki started working and he suddenly shuffled sideways before swinging his sword down at Maya's back.

The sword hit her in the back before passing directly through her as her body turned into acid.

Maya's leg shot back and hit Shanks in the face. He fell backwards and tumbled on the ground. "Of course it's a fucking logia." Shanks complained as he deflected another attack.

His swordsmanship and strength currently dwarfed Maya's but he still had no way to win if he couldn't hit her. Plus, he had to constantly dodge her acid attacks.

Shanks was being pushed back and beginning to lose the battle. He swung his sword again and attempted to coat it in armament. The sword turned black for a moment before the coating failed and it turned back to normal. The sword hit Maya in the arm and passed right through her.

Shanks clicked his tongue and dodged a ball of acid with his observation haki.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ship.

Alex was face to face with Sarah.

She ran at him and pulled out two curved knives. Alex dodged sideways and both of them missed. Alex brought his staff down only for Sarah to dodge.

Alex kicked off the floor and used soru to attack her. She tried to block his blow with her daggers but couldn't bear the force of the attack as one of her daggers flew out of her hand. Alex smiled and kicked at her stomach.

His foot made direct contact with her solar plexus. However, his foot passed directly through her as her body turned into wood. Alex's eyes widened.

"Fuck. A logia." He said as a fist connected with his face and he was sent flying.

Alex dug his fingers into the deck below him to slow himself down and Sarah soru'd at him for another attack.

Alex also used soru and tried to meet her attack with his own. However, Sarah suddenly touched the ground and started melting into the wooden deck. She disappeared into the ground like she was swimming through it and appeared behind Alex.

Alex was able to sense this with his haki but Sarah's attack still landed. She stabbed Alex in the back of his hand and his weapon fell to the ground. Alex backflipped to avoid Sarah's next attack which was a kick and he landed on his feet, weaponless.

Alex grit his teeth and clenched his hand, which was injured as Sarah ran at him again. Alex deflected her arm that tried to stab him with his forearm before curling his knuckles into a claw and trying to strike her forehead with his palm.

Alex's hand failed to injure Sarah as her head exploded into wood before reforming. Alex clicked his tongue before he ducked under Sarah's dagger and was kicked in the stomach by her shin.

Alex's body tumbled along the deck again and he looked up to see no one in front of him. He suddenly sensed danger from his side and dodged to the side. Sarah appeared from within the deck and stabbed the ground where Alex just was.

Alex took a deep breath and his eyes changed. He punched the deck below him and ripped out a plank. "Ye ole reliable. A two by four." Alex said with a smile as he held a familiar weapon in his hand.

Sarah jumped out of the ground again and Alex blocked her dagger with the two by four. Alex twisted the piece of wood and Sarah's wrist started to twist with it before she was forced to let go of her dagger.

Alex grabbed the dagger and pried it from the wood before tossing it overboard. It wouldn't help him anyway so might as well make sure she couldn't use it again. Alex ran at Sarah and kicked. His heel narrowly made contact with her face as a spring shot out of the shoe and hit the wall behind her.

Sarah sunk back into the wood with a cheeky smile on her face. Alex took a deep breath and closed his eyes. After a minute he tilted his head to the side as a dagger pieced the air next to his ear. Alex thrust his hand backwards without looking and all five of his fingers turned into blowtorches.

Fire sizzled and hit Sarah's arm. Sarah screamed in pain and tried to jump backwards but Alex's hand turned back to normal and he grasped the burnt part of her arm. He swung her body over his shoulder and threw her into a wall. Sarah hit the wall with a thud and tumbled to the ground unconscious.

Alex sighed and took a deep breath. "Fuck, I need to get my armament soon. I fucking hate logia's."
