40 Changes

The Phantom Pirates left the island and ventured out to sea spending the next four months in the East Blue searching for treasure. Only a few of the maps Buggy obtained turned out to lead to real treasure. What they found were swords, sabers, guns, spears, axes, and money. Whenever they stopped to resupply they looked around for new crew members that could fulfill their needs.

With Desire joining them, they had a doctor, but they were also looking for another doctor that would be just as capable if not better.

During this time the crew also got into their fair share of battles with different marines patrolling the area and other crews. With each new experience, they gained new strength, and during the time they were sailing at sea the crew also trained. Everyone was busy trying to obtain haki, and with Buggy's explanation, it was hard.

There were three kinds, and Wolf felt that learning any would boost their power by a lot. When they weren't training Wolf was busy exploring his devil fruit ability.

Currently, he had a few more fruits from their adventure at sea and was debating on who should get them. There were a total of five, and each one would give his crew a large boost in strength. Maybe four as he was unsure if he should give the first fruit they found away. It gave him a odd feeling, and he knew it was dangerous.

"What are you thinking?" Kuro asked as he appeared next to Wolf who was leaning over the railing.

Wolf pulled out one of the devil fruits he had stored away and tossed it at Kuro. He already knew the man did not want any devil fruit ability so he was fine with Kuro holding one. Arlong also care little for it as he was a fishman and his ability in the water was strong. Losing his ability to swim would only work against him.

"We have all of these, and I think most of the crew has been around long enough to have one. I'm just not sure how I want to go about doing it."

Kuro tossed the fruit back.

"I've been thinking about it as well. How well they've done in the past can be a sign, but there are weak members who are losing out to the ones we currently have. Even with a devil fruit that doesn't mean they'll instantly become strong. If you have a competition for it then that just means the strong will win and the weak members will complain." Kuro told Wolf.

Wolf agreed with that. They still did not have the journal that cataloged all the various types of devil fruits and what they did, so in all honestly they were blind as to what each one did.

"I recommened Alvida for one. She's young but has shown promise, and if you're on edge about that one devil fruit then give it to her. She's shown loyalty and enjoys being here, out of everyone present I doubt she'd betray us. As for the others, leave it up to fate or ask the other members who they recommend."

Wolf nodded as he put the devil fruit back into his portal. He was already planning on asking Alvida if she wanted one but held out due to her age. She was much younger than most of the other crew members and her having a devil fruit before them could cause a rift. Now that they have more devil fruits at their disposal it isn't such a bad thing.

"I'll work with the four, and ask Arlong and Buggy who they recommend. After that I might set up a competition for the older crew members and change how we use devil fruits in the future. Maybe it is best that whoever finds one can do with it what they want, and if they decide to give it to me to decide then that's that."

"We've spent a few months here already, I say it is time we leave. There isn't any place we haven't really explored yet, and the marine presence here is irritating." Kuro said.

"Yeah, I wanted to visit the Gao Kingdom once more but it seems after our visit they've beefed things up." Wolf smiled. "It would be a good test of our strength to see if we could handle them."

"But, we don't want to run into him again either."

Wolf agreed. If they ran into Garp, things might turn out differently than before. It was best to avoid him for the time being until they got stronger.

"Guess that means we are heading to the South Blue next." Wolf said.

Kuro took out a wanted poster, it was Wolf's. "We still need to find out what this means."

Wolf looked at it and couldn't help but agree. His wanted poster changed, and not only the bounty he had, but the government wanted him alive only. As for why, he had no clue.

Even Buggy stated this was the first time he's saw something like this.

His bounty was now 40 million, the highest in the East Blue, and in his crew. With as many battles as they've been in, his face has been seen multiple times. Even Kuro had a bounty of ten million, and Alvida five. Yet, none topped his and no one could figure out why it increased by such an amount.

"It's whatever. Call Alvida, lets see if she wants this devil fruit."
