1 Random Forest

I woke up feeling strange, it felt like grass on my back, but that can't be true as never fall asleep outside. But as I tried to pass this dream I came to the realisation that something was wrong, that the smell of grass and chirping of birds was far too realistic for a dream, then I remembered what happened, that strange lightning bolt, and as It hit me again in my mind I jolted up and awake suddenly sure that this is real, I looked around and saw nothing but lush greenery, I seemed to be in a lightly forested area, nothing much stood out except for when I observed my own outfit and realised that I was still wearing my pyjamas, a young girl, alone In the forest with only her "my hero academia" themed pyjamas to keep her company. There was then a light bell ringing that as I tried to focus on seemed to fill my vision with something akin to a computer screen, it read:

[Congratulations to the new host for awakening the freedom system, as a first-time bonus you will be granted a slight charm effect to those you find attractive while causing a slight repulsion effect towards those you find unattractive along with one free draw from the companion lottery]

I took a moment to process this information, it seems that i have been given some kind of system, a common trope in novels where the main character is transported to another world, that at least explains why I am in a random forest. This charm effect seems like it would affect others free will, but it does say light so hopefully it's not that bad, but this random companion sounds interesting, let's see how to use it, as I tried to navigate the system the welcome message disappeared and a list of buttons appeared that read:

It appears that I'm not allowed to know the capabilities of my system until it wants me to, oh well something to look forward to I guess, for now I focused on the lotteries button and a disclaimed popped up before I could try and use it:

[Disclaimer: all sentient beings received from the lottery have been briefly informed of your situation and given their consent to be summoned]

Oh, that's good to know so I am summoning people away from their own lives but since they have consented I assume they are ok with that, after reading the disclaimer it was removed and replaced with a roulette wheel that had so many sections it was impossible to tell them apart, there was also a filters section which had an insane amount of options, I decided to filter it to a female as I have a slight aversion so men, good-aligned for obvious reasons and a survival expert as I have no idea how to survive In this forest alone, after applying the filters the roulette wheel shifted a bit but still contained an unimaginable amount of segments, I then focused on spinning the wheel and off it went, after about two seconds of spinning the wheel slowed and landed on a sliver as a popup appeared:

I was ecstatic, Momo was by far one of my favourite anime characters and now she would be here, helping me, wow. After calming down a little I focused on the popup and the whole system disappeared before a magic circle appeared on the ground and started rotating, it gradually built up speed before shattering into a bright light that I had to cover my eyes from, after lowering my arm I saw her, the most beautiful person I have ever seen, Momo Yaoyorozu.

I was mesmerised by her beauty, she had long jet-black hair that was styled up in unique side spikes, she seemed to have aged a bit from her time in the anime, I assume she is 19, the same as me, she had a different hero costume compared to the anime too, it was far more modest, consisting of a crop top and shorts along with a pair of heavy-duty combat boots, she seems to have ditched the book holder, presumably because she just remembers what she needs to now. as she was observing her surroundings and seemingly processing her current situation she locked eyes with me, causing me to blurt out the only thing I could think of "I love you" this caused her to be taken aback she then blushed and shied away in the cutest way possible, I almost fainted at how cute she was. Momo then seemed to regain her composure and question me "although I am flattered to be confessed to, I was told that i would be coming here to assist in helping a world that is trapped by a tyrannical and corrupt government, it is you that i am to assist?" she was so righteous, abandoning her own life and world to help another, I quickly snapped out of my love trance and explained "I'm sorry momo I was unaware that you were told that, although if that is the case then I would definitely be one to help" momo took a moment to process my statement before replying "well I don't appreciate being lied to but at least you are cooperative, now in regards to your first statement of uh… loving me, I am flattered and certainly charmed but I would request we delay any form of relationship until we get to know each other better and are aware of our location." At this it was my turn to blush before shly nodding and asking "well I hope that now you are here you could help with finding our location, I have no idea where this is let alone what world we are in" momo then nodded in agreement and held her hands to her chest to pull out a large army style radio, it seems she is accounting for if we are in a very remote area.

Momo then attempted to send some kind of message in Morse code, presumably signalling distress but she seemed perplexed by not getting a reply back, she attempted to reach someone a few more times even just speaking in plain English asking for help but nothing seemed to work, she then turned to me "well it looks like we are on our own, those clothes don't seem fit for this terrain so come here and let me take some measurements, I will make you something more appropriate" I did as instructed and momo pulled out a tape measure before having me spread my arms out and measuring Me, after about a minute she started handing me clothes that seemed to be designed for camping, some tough leather boots, a waterproof jacket, long trousers that were designed to link up to the boots and the jacket and then a plain white t-shirt for underneath. She also handed me a backpack while making one for herself which she loaded the radio into while I ducked behind a tree and changed while putting my pyjamas in my new backpack. After returning I looked like some fancy Explorer but I suppose that's what I am if we are to look around and find out where we are, momo had also changed her look a bit and now had a large trench coat. After we were done changing and packing up momo made two sets of swords and shields before handing one to me "this is mostly just in case but try to stay close to me, we will head west towards to setting sun to try and find civilisation, if we don't be prepared to camp out for the night" I took a deep breath and accepted the set, weighing it in my hand they were surprisingly light but I still felt uneasy at the thought of using them.
