Looking at the stats above, Roy couldn't help but feel proud.

Turning his head, Roy looked at the clock on the wall not far away and found that it was still early, about 3:00 in the afternoon.

Which means he still had enough time to grind, but just as he was about to resume his mission, a loud scream suddenly interrupted him.

'Uh, is this how being cockblock feels? " ' Roy sighed and decided to check it out.

Heading towards the source of the noise, which is the 'kitchen', he was greeted by a bunch of servants surrounding a chef whose dead body was lying on the ground.

"Young Lord!" Seeing that he came, everyone parted to give him a way.

"What's going on?" Roy was shocked to see a dead person for the first time and had the urge to vomit, but fortunately [Gamer's Mind] took effect immediately.

"It's him!" A maid, whom, from his memory, he called 'Acca', screamed in fright as he pointed at a young man who held a bloody knife in his hand. "It's him! It's Robert! I saw him stabbing Gordon when I entered the kitchen!"

"N-no, it's not me!" The said young man, Robert, had a pale expression as he let the knife fall on the ground as he quickly denied, "It's not me. I swear! He's dead already when I enter the kitchen!"

"..." TF? Am I in some kind of detective theme movie? This genre is just too dark!

'Due to specific events, a quest had been created."

[Title: Who killed Gordon?]

Description: Gordon, a chef who's been serving the Conner family for decades, has been killed by someone.

Find the one who killed him and the motive behind it.

Failure: +30% probability of death; Gordon's hunted soul or ghost (-5 LUCK).

Reward: 800 EXP, Gordon's random [Skill Book], Gordon's Gratitude (+3 LUCK).

"30% probability of death, really?" Roy couldn't help but complain inwardly.

How do I solve this case anyway? I'm not Conan!

Fortunately, [Gamer's Mind] began functioning again, allowing Roy to calm his mind and begin to think rather than complain.

"Everyone, please calm down!" Roy said loudly to silence the whispers of the servants around.

After that, he walked towards Gordon's corpse and examined it.

'Due to continuous observation, a skill [observe] has been created. It shows the information of the target.

Seeing this, Roy's eyes lit up.

Activating the newly gained skill, Gordon's information appears before him.

Gordon's Corpse Lv 23 | HP:0 (Deceased)

A chef who's been serving the Conner family for decades. Aside from his superb cooking skills, he was a master of several martial arts.

Cause of Death: Poisoning

[Time of death: 20 minutes ago.]

"So that's it." Nodding his head, Roy then said to everyone: "I don't know how Gordon died, but from the state of his body, I can tell that he's been dead for 30 minutes."

Roy lied; he knew the cause of death and the approximate time of death through 'observe', but he decided to fake it in order to not alert the killer.

To be honest, he found this whole ordeal troublesome and had an urge to arrest everyone and have each of them interrogated, but the [Gamer's Mind] instinct is telling him that things are not as simple as he thinks.

Gordon is LV 23 and a master of several martial arts. What kind of person can kill him with 'poisons' without him realizing it?

What is the motive behind it, and why does the system hint at it with the '+30% probability of death'?

Shaking his head, Roy looked again at everyone present: "Everyone lined up, I have a few questions that you need to answer: first, where are you and who are you with in the last 30 minutes? Second, what is your relationship with Gordon?"

Everyone looked at him suspiciously but nevertheless did what Roy told them obdurately, and one by one they answered his question.

forty minutes later.

After the questioning, Roy stood before the dozens of segregants with a stern expression.

"I know who's the killer!" He said plainly, making everyone look at him with a mixed expression.

Some were in disbelief, some were impatient, and some were anxious.

Roy didn't blame them; the original used to be a geeky and cowardly type of guy. Solving a murder case and claiming that he knew the killer is very uncharacteristic of him.

But hey, what can they do? He's the young lord they serve, and they had to listen to him.

"First of all, the cause of death is not blood loss caused by being stabbed, so Robert isn't the killer," Roy explained, causing everyone to have a perplexed expression as 'Acca', the maid, exclaimed loudly.

"No way, my lord, I saw him! He's holding a knife with Gordon's blood!" Acca said loudly to him.

"Yes, he's indeed holding a knife with Gordon's blood, but what if I told you that the stabbed part of Gordon's stomach did not kill him?" Roy explained and then looked at the head butler, Alfred, beside him and said, "Alfred, you can check it yourself; as a master of anatomy, you can tell what is true and not."

'Alfred LV 20 | Headbutler

A servant who had been serving the Conner family for 8 years. Master of Management, Anatomy, Close Quarter Combat, and various life skills

The headbutler, Alfred, nodded his head and did what he was told.

A few minutes later, Alfred had a solemn expression and said to everyone, "It is indeed, as the young lord said, that the stabbed part of Sir Gordon's stomach is done unprofessionally; the way it is cut is very shallow, let alone internal organs; it didn't even damage his veins and arteries too much."

"Which means, Sir Gordon isn't killed by someone who is good at knife or close quarter combat."

"But by someone who has an incredible mind, if it were among us, it must be someone whose expertise would make him hard to notice; otherwise, we would've long discovered him before he even stepped on the mansion."

Roy looked at Alfred and was amazed at his deduction skills.

As early as twenty minutes ago, he already knew who the killer was, but he wouldn't spoil it for others, as he wanted the killer to admit it on his own.

Alfred, who had just finished his deduction, looked at Roy and suddenly stood up and bowed respectfully before vanishing in the blink of an eye.

So fast that Roy wondered if he was teleporting or something.

But just as he was wondering, Alfred reappeared again with a little squirrel that he didn't know where it came from in his hands.

Without further ado, Alfred took some blood from Gordon's body and fed it to the squirrel, and sure enough, the squirrel began squirming a few seconds later.

"This." Everyone had a shock expression on their faces upon seeing it and then finally turned their eyes at the man with the bamboo hat on the back.

'Samuel LV 15: Gardener'

A servant who has been working as a garderner for the Conner family for three months. He was a master of gardening and botany and proficient in poisons.'

Through the reaction of the squirrel, everyone can tell that it is indeed poisoned, and among them, only Samuel, the gardener, had experience with poisons as he used them to exterminate the pests and animals that had messed up the garden in the past.

Other factors, such as an alibi, identity, etc., made it even more suspicious.

"Hehe, it seems that I've been found!" Samuel laughed dryly. "That's right, I indeed killed Gordon!"

Hearing this, everyone frowned and had their guards up.

"I thought that my plan was perfect: poison Gordon, stab him to fake his cause of death, and even frame up Robert to decrease my suspicion!" Samuel explained like a mastermind, and the more he spoke, the wider his smile became.

"What's your purpose?" Alfred asked with a frown on his eyebrows.

"My purpose? Hehe, since I don't think I can leave this place alive, I might as well drag down my contractor. I was commissioned by a man called Alex Sanchez," Samuel said calmly.

"Alex.. Sanchez.. You mean..?" Hearing the familiar name, Alfred's eyes widened.

"That's right, the second largest shareholder of the Conner Chamber of Commerce."

"That guy has long been planning to take away Ron Conner's remaining shares, and in order to do that, he had to kill him and his successor!"

"That's right, my mission is to assassinate the young lord, Roy Conner himself." Samuel had a wide smile as he looked at Roy, who felt a cold chill on the back of his neck.

'Oi, oi, oi, don't you think it's too sudden? This plot is too much! I've just died, and you want me to die again? ' Roy was annoyed and couldn't help but curse inwardly.

"Honestly, why are you still alive, Roy? I mean, you should've died last night. I've checked it several times, and I'm sure that you were dead already at that time." Samuel chuckled, making Roy's eyes light up.

So that's why.

It turns out that he kill original last night, no wonder he managed to occupy his body.

"I should have left this place already, but who would have thought that the next morning you'd wake up and start acting as if nothing had happened?" Samuel had an angry expression and then turned helpless again.

"And then, when I was about to plan how to kill you again, Gordon showed up and began acting suspicious of me.. So in the end, I had to kill him before he ruined my plan."

Roy, look at the guy who was the killer of the original, and for some reason he couldn't help but feel grateful.

Shaking his head, Roy let out a tired sigh.

Anyway, he was grateful that he made him transmigrate, but the fact that he still wanted to kill him is unforgivable.

Turning his head towards Alfred, he then said, "Do it," with a cold expression.

The process of defeating Samuel did not take a lot of time, as he's not proficient in close combat.

With Alfred and other servants ganging up on him, Samuel was finally killed after 4 minutes.

Soon, a notification box suddenly popped up before him.

'Quest Completed'

Rewards received: 800 EXP, Gordon's Random [Skill Book], Gordon Gratitude (Luck +3).'

'You've increased your level by one."

'You've increased your level by one."
