5 First steps towards the future...ouch I stepped on a rock

Miyuki stood for a moment, looking around at what could be seen. Her pendant lit up an area around her of about 1000 ft. It looked like she was in a relatively flat area, and the seafloor was mostly white sand with some rocks and sparse growth of sea plants that were vaguely similar to what you would expect from an undersea vista. She remembered from her high school science classes that the seabed was a lot like land terrain with its own plains, mountains, and valleys. Although if she remembered correctly, they called the lowest part the abyssal plain, which included oceanic trenches and hydrothermal vents. Then, as you approached landmass, the ground would start to rise in what they called the continental slope, or I guess in the case of islands, the islandic slope...is that a thing? Sometimes, as you went up the continental slope, the seafloor would temporarily level back out, and that would be called a continental shelf. Undersea mountains, otherwise known as mid-ocean ridges, were created due to tectonic plate movements and undersea volcanoes. There is a lot more to it, but that was basically what she should expect as she moved around. Although this it the One Peice world so she should try to do the impossible and expect the unexpected. That being true, she had a few questions, "JARVIS, how is it that I can breathe, and that I'm not being crushed by the water pressure. That bubble can't be that strong, can it?"

"I've told you the bubble is unbreakable, and that means it can hold up under the pressure. What's also useful to know is that the bubble acts like a filter so the oxygen comes in from the seawater, and carbon dioxide you breathe out will go out into the seawater. There is no need to worry, and if anything doesn't make sense, you can chalk it up to anime logic." He said soothingly.

"Okay, thank you for setting my mind at ease." She sighed in relief then turned her mind back to her previous considerations. "JARVIS, I have an idea where I want the Utopian Kingdom to be placed, but I'm using my understanding of what the seabed is like based on high school science classes. My theory is that the calm belt is created by two parallel mid-ocean ridges that encompass the entire circumference of the planet, only being stopped by the Red Line. In between those two mid-ocean ridges is the calm belt, and it's actually an oceanic trench. The depth of that trench is why the largest Sea Kings can live there. Am I right?" She asked.

"Yes, Miyuki, that is correct. And since you are putting so much thought into this, let's turn it into a quest. Open up your system and select the Quests tab," he suggested.

She grumbled a bit as she had just closed the system. She decided to try mentally opening the system to see if she could do it as opening the system out loud in the future might be an issue while in mixed company. She clearly thought 'open system' and the blue screen reappeared. She selected the Quest tab. The blue screen dissolved and reformed into 3 labeled bubbles...current, completed, failed. She tapped the current bubble, and it popped with a loud bang like a firecracker. A text box replaced it.

Home Base - Select a location for your future Utopian Kingdom. To succeed in the quest, you must have a logical reason for your choice and must arrive at that location within 24 hrs. Reward: Contracted with the 4 Great Spirits from Tales of Xillia - Efreet, the Great Spirit of Fire, Undine, the Great Spirit of Water, Gnome, the Great Spirit of Earth, and Slyph, the Great Spirit of Wind. Status: In Progress

You need someone other than myself to talk to, and they will be a great help with the creation and maintenance of your new Kingdom." He finished.

This is a time when she wished JARVIS had his own body and wasn't just a voice. She'd love to give him a long, stern look and then roll her eyes. "Why is my system getting increasingly more animated with special effects?" She asked, thinking that the quest tab wasn't like this before, and remembering the Starter Kit presentation and how the Fidelius Charm came as a scroll that dissolved into specks of light when opened. "Isn't that going to get very conspicuous once I join the wider world?"

"If you want to blame someone, Lady Miyuki, blame yourself. The system reflects your subconscious wants and desires. You might not have realized it, but you don't like the stereotypical systems you used to read about in light novels and fan-fictions. You want something a little more unique and interactive. Since the system activated, it has been evolving to better fit your wishes." His tenor voice sounded more urbane and butler-like than before. "But there is no need to worry as no one but yourself can see or hear the system. As long as you don't speak out loud, you should be fine."

"Is that also why I'm now 'Lady Miyuki'?" She asked.

"Yes, you like the JARVIS AI for its capabilities as a personal assistant, but you are more drawn to the mannerisms of Alfred, the butler of Bruce Wayne/Batman. So now you will get both." He said, and you could almost see the polite bow in his voice. She had to admit it was working for her.

She just nodded and re-closed the system. "You know how Reverse Mountain has a canal starting in each of the 4 seas (North, South, East, West) that goes up the mountain and empties out to the Paradise side of the Grand Line? The New World side of the Grand Line also ends at Reverse Mountain, but there isn't a canal on that side. I plan to explore the whole world, so i need easy access to all the seas. I thought there was no better place to start than to create my kingdom under and around Reverse Mountain. I plan to head towards the Red Line and set my first city of my new Kingdom where the Calm Belt's mid-ocean ridge near the East Blue meets the Red Line. Long-Term, I hope to build a total of 5 cities, 4 in the Calm Belt's mid-ocean ridges where they all meet the Red Line near each of the Blues, and the 5th inside Reverse Mountain with an underwater tunnel through the entire mountain connecting both sides of the Grand Line. That way, I can do different styles in each city and have them specialize in different things. What do you think, JARVIS?" She asked.

"That sounds wonderful, Lady Miyuki," he replied praisingly.

She nodded decisively. "Open system and bring up the map function. Shrink it a little and put it on my right-hand side where it doesn't impede my vision." The map popped into view with her location dot in green. The area around her dot in a 5 kilometer radius was completely mapped, while the rest of the map had a fuzzy feel. You could tell generally where the landmasses and oceans were, but nothing was fully mapped. It gave her a direction... no log poses needed for this girl... ever. She glanced up nervously at the Sea Kings, then shrugged it off and started to take her first steps towards Reverse Mountain. She suddenly yelped in pain and hopped on one foot. She had stepped on a rock. Oh, right, she still had bare feet.
