Monsters in the deep sea

Caribou, might be an insignificant pirate at first glance. But he will become a major threat afterwards when he would learn about two ancient weapons while travelling with us.

In my previous life, I was born after the publication of one piece started and died before it ended. So obviously I don't know what will happen after the end had Island arc. Although I wanted to kill Caribou here, I didn't know what kind of impact it will put on the future.

But whatever happens, I won't let him create any trouble.

But for the time being and decided to enjoy the show.

"Uaaaaahhhh... Please let me go ! I am not their captain. I was just their lowly slave. I went to the sea to buy medicines for my sick mother and got captured by the pira-"

*Slap !*Caribou wasn't able to finish his sentence when he got slapped by a blackened hand that has sprouted from his shoulder.

But Robin didn't stop there.

*Slap !*

She continued to slap him black and blue until he was crying like a child, his face swollen like a dark balloon.

"*Sigh* He is still holding killing intention towards us while sprouting those nonsense.

I think we should really kill him." I said to Luffy. I was serious and he realised it as well.

Zoro frowned and Sanji woke up from the temporary bad that Chopper arranged for him for afterbeatings.

Everyone who heard me became serious.

"Let's throw him to the water. We don't have to deal with the body." Brook said while smoking a cigarette.

"Wait ! I have eaten swamp swamp fruit. So I can store a lot of things inside me. If you let me travel with you at least till the fishman island, then I will give you all of my treasures that I have been hiding inside my body !" Caribou declared frantically and threw up a lot of gold from his body.

"This is only half of what I have. I will give you the rest if you let me travel with you !"

I frowned after looking at the gold. Unknown to Caribou he has dealt a critical hit to Nami.

I saw her eyes turning into berries.

This was bad. Surprisingly Caribou has done something entirely different from canon.

But it will all depend on Luffy.

"Luffy ! Let's take him. You can always beat the shit out of him once we got all the gold."

Me and Zoro intently looked at Luffy.

"Alright, let's keep him."

"Luffy....*sigh*"

I knew that there is no point in arguing with him. So I did the best thing that I could.

...

"Tada ! A pair of freshly made sea stone handcuffs for our prisoner."

Franky returned within a few minutes.

Robin and Zoro had decided to keep an eye on Caribou, till Franky makes a pair of sea stone handcuffs from my sea stone bracelet.

"Well then, let's get this over with."

Franky went ahead to capture Caribou.

With the two serious members of the crew that could potentially kill him without any hesitation, Caribou didn't try anything funny.

After Franky locked him up inside a box after putting the sea stone handcuffs on him. After we were done with Caribou, we went back to the rest of the crew.

"I don't get it. Won't it be faster to travel in a straight line ?" Luffy asked curiously.

"We can't do that, Luffy. If we continue straight, then we would just be swallowed up by currents and could hit a volcano or sea mountain before finishing our descent.

There is only one safe route. And I will make sure that we reach the fishman island safely. And everyone, put on a coat, the journey would get a lot colder from now on." Nami said to everyone.

"I heard that the colder levels have what are called Deep Currents. These are large ocean currents that are normally invisible to the naked eye and move in a completely different pattern than surface currents. I have heard that the Deep Currents move very slowly across the ocean floor, and that once someone is down that deep, it could take nearly 2,000 years to return to a part of the sea that gets sunlight." Brook said mysteriously.

Ussop and Chopper hugged eachother in fear. I went to the rooms to get some winterwear.

"In order to get to the fishman Island, we need to ride a descending current that will take us from a surface current to a deep current." Nami explained.

But then Franky called to Nami from the bow of the ship, "It has come into view....miss navigator !"

Nami immediately went to the bow to check.

"He is right ! The deep current is here."

Everyone, including myself went to the bow. Franky, marveled at Mother Nature's creation, the great Downward Plume.

I was really surprised too. It was a beautiful sight.

But then, I noticed something wrong.

"Woah ! What's that ? Luffy asked aloud.

"It is a kraken. Those octopus like limbs, and gigantic size, there is no doubt about it. It must be the kraken from the fairy tales." I informed them. The bright yellow colour identified it. It was none other than Surume, Luffy's pet kraken from the anime.

While we were busy keeping an eye on the kraken, Caribou's ship suddenly returned. However, before they could get close, they were grabbed by one of the Kraken's tentacles, which quickly destroyed their coating bubble and their ship. This caused Caribou's crew to seemingly drown. The Kraken then settled it's sight on the Sunny.

"*Gulp* Hey can we go back to the surface ? My 'I can't go to that underwater Island or I will die' disease is acting up again." Ussop said fearfully.

Luffy and Zoro prepared to attack.

"Hey ! Don't attack you two ? Didn't you hear what Nami said earlier ? The bubble can't take too much strain !" Usopp stops them.

But I knew that there is no need to worry. Sunny wasn't an ordinary ship.

Franky activated the ship's Chicken Voyage to avoid some of the tentacles.

But the cracken didn't stop it's assault.

"Cien Fleur

Gigantesco Mano !"

For the first time infront of my crew, I activated my devil fruit powers.

Hundreads of arms emerged from both the sides of thousand sunny making two gigantic arms. I winced when I felt the drainage of my stamina due to activating my ability inside the sea water. Coating them with armament haki lessened the effects a bit. But it didn't disappear completely.

I started redirecting the attacks from Sunny and counterattacked every now and then while conserving my strength. I didn't know what Surume will turn into ? A pet or takoyaki for Luffy's stomach. It was Luffy who will take the decision. But just in case if he decided to make him a pet, I decided to not injure him too much.

"Hey Nami do something ! Robin can't have all the fun ! And Robin ! Don't damage him too much. I want to make him our pet and have him pull sunny." Luffy laughed childishly.

While Ussop and Chopper were panicking, Nami decided to ready "Barefoot Coating" for Sanji, Zoro and Luffy. Which were essentially man-made diving suits.

"These ropes will be your life line ! So don't you dare lose them. And there are limited amount of oxygen to breath. So keep that in mind as well." Nami warned them before the 'monster trio' went outside to make a deep sea monster their new pet.
