7 Chapter 7: Leaving the Marine Base

[For those of you that don't know the six powers or don't remember each one of them:

1. Soru: move at blinding speed

2. Geppo: walk in air by kicking fast

3. Tekkai: Harden body

4. Kami-e: move body flexibly to dodge attack

5. Rankyaku: make compressed air blade from leg by swinging fast

6. Shigan: thrust finger fast enough to pierce like a bullet.]

*Timeskip 10 Years*

Law and Tigan stand face to face with each other. Tigan disappears and appears before Law, who also disappeared and appeared behind Tigan.

Tigan again disappeared and appeared far from Law. Law said to Tigan "Do you want a break old man?"

Tigan, breathing heavily, said "It is getting hard to keep up with you."

"Do you want to give up?" Law asked.

"That would be even more humiliating than loosing to a kid." Tigan said.

"I am 24. I am no longer a kid, but given how there is a huge age gap between us, I will allow it." Law said and disappeared from his spot.

Tigan immediately crossed his arms in front of him to block a punch. Law appeared before him and punched him, sending him flying back despite him blocking the attack.

The Marines, who were watching the match were all cheering for Law and Tigan. Skleth, Penguin, Shachi and Bepo were standing in the front, looking at them with shock.

Shachi said "I can barely follow them."

Skleth said "You are not alone. I am sure that many Marines can't even keep up with them."

This was true, since the rest of the Marines only saw blurs and shockwaves that are easy to spot due to the snow. They would also get ocassional afterimages from their clashes.

After a while, they both stopped, with Law standing, breathing heavily and Tigan sitting down and breathing heavily.

Tigan looked at Law and said "You really have become very strong. You remind me of my Rear Admiral when I was a foot soldier."

Law asked "Who?"

"The Navy hero Garp" Tigan said.

Law said "Forget about that, we have decided that we are going to leave this base tomorrow."

"Are you sure you are ready for the outside world? There are people who can kill me in seconds." Tigan said, trying to stop him from going.

Law smiled and said "I have made my decision and I won't change it. Since it is our last day here, we have to celebrate. We are going to have a feast tonight." He shouted for all the Marines to hear.

They all shouted in unison "Let's feast"

That night, they had a huge feast, almost emptying their whole supplies. They didn't care much since they would get the next supplies in two days.

Everyone was drinking, eating, dancing and singing with each other, including Bepo, Penguin and Shachi.

They got close to the Marines after living with them for 10 years. Tigan was sitting far from them on a wooden box, drinking sake. Law walked to him smoking a cigar.

Tigan looked at him and said "You know that thing kills you, right?"

Law replied "You still don't know about my devil fruit powers. Also. I don't want to hear that from someone drinking."

Law then sat down near him, looking at his friends. He said to Tigan "They really became friends with pirates who threaten to kill them."

Tigan said "That's what you should expect when there is no one around and you live together for 10 years. You start getting closer to everyone around you."

Tigan paused, sighed and asked Law "Do you really have to become a pirate? Why can't you join the Navy?"

Law sighs, with smoke coming out of his mouth, and said "I am someone who holds grudges. I can't sleep peacefully if I don't do anything to them."

Tigan is trying so hard to keep Law there because like he said before, if you live together long enough, you grow closer. Although this is not true all the time, it is so I'm their case.

Tigan cares about Law and doesn't want him to become a pirate. Law also knew this and since he felt that he was ready to leave, he felt that delaying their departure would only make it difficult to leave.

Law said "We have to leave before my friends become too close to the Marines and become heartbroken when we leave."

Tigan chuckles and said "I think it is too late for that."

Law then asks Tigan "Old man, when I mastered all six powers, I felt like there was something else I could do, like combine them or something. Do you know anything about this?"

"I never felt what you are talking about since I still didn't master kami-e, but I did hear that there is another technique which you can learn only when you master the six powers. You can only learn that when you join Cipher Pol." Tigan said.

Law then sat there and talked to Tigan while the rest were enjoying. The next day, Law and his friends were standing on a battleship, which was the only one in the base.

Everyone was standing at the port to send them off. Law and Tigan were standing at the port, near the ship.

Law said "Well then, thanks for training us all this time."

Tigan said "Kid, aren't you forgetting something?"

Law looked confused until he noticed the hole in their chests. He immediately gave them their hearts and the transponder snails, which died since Law didn't feed them.

Law then got onto the ship and as they began to set sail, he looked at Tigan from above the deck and said "I also have another present for you guys."

He then used room, covering the whole Island. Suddenly all the food in the base appeared before Tigan.

Tigan asked "Why did you bring them here?"

Tigan didn't have to wait for Law to answer since he heard explosions coming off from the base. Law had teleported all the explosives in the armory in every room and ignited them.

All the Marines started cursing Law shouting "I can't believe I thought pirates can be good." and other things while Skleth and Tigan smiled.

It wasn't much different on the battleship. Bepo and Shachi where shouting at their captain.

"Captain, how could you do that? They were really nice people." Bepo said.

Shachi added "Captain, they helped us train for 10 years and were really kind to us. Why did you do that?"

Law shouted at them "Shut up. We are priates and they are Marines. We are always enemies."

He then went to his room. Penguin saw Law walk into his room and said "He really got kinder than before."

Shachi had a confused expression and Bepo was the same. Shachi explained "When we took over the base 10 years ago, we got to know that the Navy wanted to abandon this base 10 years ago, but all the Marines in the base got closer to each other and became a family. A family from which they didn't want to separate. So, no one wanted to leave, but Tigan and Law knew that this Marine Base was holding them back because all are very strong Marines and very good people. So, Law helped them get rid of the base that was holding them back in this remote location."

Tigan also explained the same to his Marines and they started testing up. They shouted at the ship "Thank you Law."

Law, who was in his room, heard it and smiled. He said "It is going to be very difficult for me to fight them in the future when they are scattered all across the grand line."

The ship sailed for a while and Law came out to the deck, where he saw Bepo Penguin and Shachi look at the sea with excitement. When they heard Law walk to the deck, they turned to him, with admiration in their eyes.

Law asked Penguin "Are we headed in the right direction?"

"We are on the correct course and should reach Ragelt Kingdom in ten days. I can manage for now using the instructions given by Skleth, but we need a navigator if we are going to enter the grand line." Penguin said.

Law said "I know that. We will recruit the first navigator we find."

He then turned to Bepo, who was staring into the horizon, and asked "What happened?"

Bepo replied "I miss my hometown."

Law said "We will definitely stop by your hometown when we are nearby."

An hour passed and they didn't know what to do. Shachi asked Penguin "Are you also bored?"

Penguin replied "No. Unlike you, I have things to do, like making sure we don't let lost in this endless sea."

Law was also bored because he used to constantly train when he was at the marine base and now he doesn't know what to do. During this free time, he decided to go over the current strength of his team since he has nothing better to do.

'Penguin could only master kami-e, but he is smart enough to take down weaker commanders or easily take care of 20 foot soldiers.

Shachi had mastered kami-e, soru and geppo and is fast enough to take down a strong commander or easily take down 80 foot soldiers on his own.

As for Bepo, he mastered soru, Rankyaku and geppo. He is strong and combined with his electro, he can take on a strong commander or easily handle 100 foor soldiers on his own.

As for me, I mastered all six powers and can take on the captain without even using all six powers and can easily wipe out foot soldiers. As for my devil fruit powers, the size and time of the room have increased drastically and I can now cover small tiny island effortlessly, maintaining the room for almost a day before fainting. I can also lift up a huge building easily and amputation is also not a problem now with a sword. I still want that long sword Law had in the show. The rest of the moves Law does in the show, I need to practice them. I have the strength to do them.' Law thought to himself while sitting on the deck.

Now, this was all in comparison of the Marines, commander and Captain from the marine base they just left. The Marines from the base were actually strong even when compared to the Marines in the first half of the grand line.

Law then spent the next ten days practicing his devil fruit powers while the rest were just sparring amongst themselves to be in shape.

After ten days, Penguin shouts to the crew "I see the island. We have arrived at Ragelt Kingdom."

Shachi asks Law "Why are we here?"

Law replied "We are going to destroy this kingdom, along with all the other kingdoms that massacred our hometown."

Shachi asked "Didn't you say the World government was your enemy?"

Law asked in return "Picture this Shachi, if a man shoots someone with a pistol, who do you usually blame?"

Shachi replies "The person who shot the other person."

"That's the usual answer, but I blame both the pistol and the person using it. The World government was the one who pulled the trigger and the kings of these kingdoms are the pistol. We have to eliminate both." Law said.

Shachi didn't understand anything. He said "I didn't understand anything. Just tell me who to kill."

Law smiled and said "This kingdom is ruled by the church. We are going to completely wipe out anyone related to the church."

All three of them nodded and prepared their weapons. They were ready to fight. They easily got closer to the island since they were on a marine battleship. They docked the ship far from the kingdom and walked towards it through a forest.

The outer walls of the kingdom were in sight when two people with swords jumped down from the tree. They landed in front of them and four others jumped down from the surrounding trees.

They were covered in weird black cloth, that covered their entire body, with only two holes for them to see.

Shachi said "Captain, don't waste your time with these men. I will take care of them."

Law said "Don't kill them. I am curious about their identity."
