Chapter 1: New World

In Japan, all the news channels were reporting on only one thing, the death of the mayor.

The reporter reports in Japanese "While the mayor, Hiroshi Kazeyama, was giving his speech today, Kazuto, a 30 year old man ran to the mayor and stabbed him six times in his chest.

The police nearby immediately apprehended him and sent Hiroshi Kazeyama to the hospital, but he passed away on his way to the hospital.

While Kazuto was being arrested, he was yelling "Let go of me!!! I didn't stab him enough!!!" repeatedly.

Immediately after that, he stabbed himself and killed himself. Let us now look at what the Prime minister has to say about this..."

Kazuto, who killed himself after killing the mayor, thought he was free from all the weight he was carrying on his shoulders for 5 years, felt relief when he felt his consciousness fading, but then suddenly, he started seeing something.

He was living as someone else, a kid named Trafalgar Law. He lived through his whole life, living in Flevance, a town in North Blue.

Kazuto was receiving memories, but he was also living them. He could feel all the emotions and feel how Law felt through all these emotions.

He lived as Law till he was 13 and then the memories stopped. He then heard someone call out for him.

Suddenly, he noticed that he could feel again. He was conscious again and he heard someone call out for him again.

He slowly opened his eyes, but he struggled to do so. His whole body was burning and he struggled to even move his limbs. He ended up mustering all his strength to just get up and open his eyes.

He then turned to look at the source of the voice calling him and found a white polar bear beside him.

He recognised the bear. He was Bepo, a mink he saved a few days ago. He could also hear screams and roars from outside.

He then heard Bepo ask, "Law, how do you feel? We got scared when you suddenly fainted."

He didn't answer Bepo and asked in return, "What is going on outside?"

They were in a cave and he could tell that something was going on outside. Bepo replied "We brought you into this cave when you fainted, but we didn't know that a lion lived in this cave and was out for hunting. Penguin and Shachi are trying to stop it."

Law slowly got up, using all his strength just to walk to the entrance of the cave. He then saw Penguin and Shachi, his two other followers, fight a lion and it was clear that they were being overpowered.

Law looked at the lion, extended his hand and said "Room".

From his palms, a small translucent sphere appeared, which slowly grew and enclosed a 3 metre radius, with lion and his followers inside the sphere.

He then made the lion float in air. Everyone present was completely shocked because it was the first time they had seen Law do that.

Bepo, Penguin and Shachi all looked at Law, who was struggling to make the lion float. Law then glared at the lion, which looked completely scared.

He dropped the lion and the lion then immediately ran away from the cave. Law immediately collapsed after that. Bepo, who was nearby, took him back into the cave.

Law woke up again after a while and looked around. He noticed that it was already dark outside and his three followers, were sleeping near the entrance.

Law looked at them and smiled. He then walked out and looked at the clear sky. He thought, 'I can't believe what is happening. This is reality, but my life as Kazuto is definitely not just a dream. I can't believe the concept of reincarnation is actually true. Not just simple reincarnation, but reincarnation into an anime world I watched with my friends.'

He is Kazuto, but when he received the memories of Law, he felt all the emotions Law felt. He looked at the sky and said "Law, don't be disappointed that someone else reincarnated into your body. I am someone who holds grudges. I just arrived here after killing someone for something they did to my girlfriend 5 years ago. I will get revenge for you."

Just then, he heard Bepo say "Law, who are you talking to?"

Law turned to Bepo and said "No one. I was just talking to myself while looking at the sky. No need to worry about that. Let's go back and rest. We have a lot to do from tomorrow."

They went back and rested after Law treated Penguin and Shachi's wounds.

The next day, all of them woke up one after the other, with Law waking up last. After they all washed up, they assembled in the cave and Law was sitting, leaning against the wall while the rest were sitting in front of him.

Law then said "Now that you have agreed to follow me and join my pirate crew, we have a few things we need to take care before we become pirates.

First, my disease. I have been able to keep the symptoms from worsening, but I still need to get rid of it. For that, I need a lot of books on medicine.

Next, we need to become stronger. I am going to have a lot of enemies and we need to be strong for that. I know how we are going to become strong. For that to work, I need to be healthy again.

So, our first priority would be to get me back to health. This is going to take a lot of time and effort, so I need you to take care of me during this time."

"You can count on us" all three of them replied together.

Law smiled and said "Now, we need to head to the nearest town for things."

They headed to the nearest town. Law had used his devil fruit powers only once ever since he got them. He had a general idea on how to use it from the anime and the knowledge you get when you eat the fruit for the first time, but he had no experience in using it.

They stopped near the outer wall of the town and Law made a room, with half of the room inside the town.

Penguin looked at Law and asked "What are you doing?" curious as to what else his devil fruit can do.

Shachi smacked his head and said "Stop talking. Can't you see he is concentrating?"

Penguin smacked Shachi's arm and said "Why did you hit me? Are you not curious as to what our captain can do?"

Bepo said to them in a low voice "Please stop fighting."

Penguin and Shachi started bickering while Bepo was trying his best to stop them, which didn't work at all.

Meanwhile, Law was looking for something to switch places with and found a few stones. He then concentrated and switched places with four stones.

Penguin, Shachi and Bepo, who just appeared in a new place, were shocked as to what was happening.

Law looked around and luckily, he didn't see anyone nearby. If anyone had seen three kids and a talking bear appear out of thin air, they would freak out and Law would become famous in the city.

Law looked at his friends and said "I know you have a lot of questions, but we have things to do."

They agreed and followed Law to the general market. Penguin then asked Law "Boss, we need a lot of money if we are to buy what you want and none of us have any money."

Law looked at Penguin and then said "Then, we just have to take some from someone who has a lot of money."

Law then stopped in front of another huge wall, but unlike the outer wall, this wall was clean and completely guarded.

Shachi turned to Law and said "I know your devil fruit is very powerful and useful, but we still can't go in and out of the inner town without being noticed. The inner town is heavily guarded."

Law replied "I know that. I am not going to risk our lives when no one in our group is strong. I am going to make a room big enough to cover the whole building of a noble and steal the money. This is going to take all my strength left and I will most likely be unable to even walk. I am going to leave the three of you to purchase any books you find about metal poisoning and buy necessary food for a month."

Law then proceeded to do what he told. He extended his hand and made a room large enough to cover a noble. He then stole enough money that was enough for what they need while not much that the nobles start searching for the thief.

He did all this as quickly as possible so that no one noticed his room. He then handed Penguin a bag of gold coins and fainted.

Bepo carried him on his back and they walked back into the market. Penguin then started enquiring where he could find books about medicine.

They looked around and finally found a small shop that had used books thrown away by the nobles.

While they were walking out of the book store, a man in his 20s, stops them and says "Look at this, four kids with shaby clothes having enough money to buy a book. Then you definitely have enough money to lend me some."

Penguin looked at him and said "We don't have any more money. Our mom gave us enough for just this book."

Three more men walked towards them, surrounding them. The man from before pulled out a knife and said "I don't want to play games. Give us the money and you can leave."

Five hours later, Law woke up, still feeling pretty weak. He slowly got up and found his three friends completely beaten up. They lay unconscious near him.

Law got up and stood on his wobbly legs, slowly walked towards them. He checked their injuries and was glad when he saw that they were not severe.

He then woke up Penguin. Penguin slowly opened his eyes, but when he saw Law, he immediately avoided eye contact and said "I am sorry. You trusted me with money and I couldn't keep your trust."

"What happened?" Law asked.

Penguin then explained what happened while crying "They surrounded us and asked for money. Though we didn't want to give the money, we wanted to keep you safe, but they were not happy with the money they got and wanted to know how we got the money. They beat us up when we refused to say how we got the money and threw us here."

Law looked at Penguin and his eyes were filled with rage. In this case, anyone in Law's place would be angry, but Kazuto was someone who was short-tempered and he was boiling with rage.

He got up and said "Penguin, wake up the others. I don't want them to miss what I am about to do now."

They were in a room, which looked like a storage room of a bar. The door wasn't even locked since the thieves were sure that they can handle four kids.

Law opened the door and walked into the bar, which was completed packed and there was chatter at every table.

The door to the storage was behind the counter at the bar. The bartender looked at Law and said "Kid. I advise you to go back silently before they notice you."

Law walked to the counter and picked up a sake bottle. He smashed it on the floor, causing the bar to go silent, stood on the counter and shouted "I am here to kill the men who beat up my friends. Those who want to live better not get in my way."

Law's friends walked out of the storage room and at the same time, the whole bar burst out laughing.

"Hahahah....look at this brat. He is trying to threaten us." Said one man getting up from his table and walking towards Law.

Law was in no mood to talk. He said "I guess everyone here wants to die."

He extended his hand and said "Room" in the most bone chilling voice and made the glass pieces, of the sake bottle he just broke, float in the air.

Everyone looked amazed at the sight of the glass pieces floating, but they didn't have much time to be amazed. The glass pieces flew at high speeds towards the men in the bar.

Men screamed and rolled in pain while blood gushed out of many wounds on their bodies. He also used the knives they were carrying around to make it faster.

One man was brave enough to go for Law, but he was dealt with in a moment, with a glass piece flying into his eye.

Ten minutes pass by and there was nothing but blood and bodies in the bar.

Law then turned to the bartender, whom he had spared and asked "Do you have enough food to last four people for a month?"

The bartender nodded and pointed towards the storage room they were in. Law then asked "What happened here?"

The bartender replied "They all fought amongst themselves and killed each other."

Law then got down from the counter and walked out of the bar, with his friends carrying all the goods they needed.

When Law left the city, the adrenaline that was keeping him awake ran out and he passed out again.
