One year later (20 years before cannon)

Makeshi POV

'God's I hate meetings' and let's be honest all of you do too, although the topic of this meeting was rather troubling, or that's what I thought listening to Sengoku speak.

"As you've been told Kozuki Oden, a former member of both Rogers and Whitebeard's crew, is dead, apparently boiled alive by Kaidou".

While most of the people present were worried Akainu wasn't "Good a pirate as strong as him being dead is a boon for us, and with him dead, the only person alive who can read the poneglyphs is Nico Robin, and a ten-year-old girl is no threat, and hopefully, Whitebeard will fight Kaidou for revenge".

While true, the actual problem here was not only how Kaidou demonstrated his strength to the world, but the possible new samurais joining the beast pirates making them even more dangerous than they used to be, and although this didn't happen in the original, who knows how big the butterfly effect of me being here is.

"I doubt it, Whitebeard isn't one for revenge, plus he knows that hundreds will die in that war and he won't risk the lives of his sons, even if they are stronger than Kaidou's crew" as always Sengoku was right.

"Other concerning news about the new Red Hair pirates, led by a former apprentice on Roger's ship" at my words everyone nods, until Aokiji adds.

"And according to reports he can already use all types of haki on an advanced level, and he hasn't even entered the New World".

Sighing, I tell everyone "Don't worry about Akagami I'll deal with him" seeing everyone nod Sengoku calls the meeting to an end.

--- Grand line Frost Peak, same POV

Finally, we arrived at the island Akagami was supposed to be hiding in, an island called Frost Peak, and true to its name the only thing visible was a giant mountain made out of ice, I came out of my thoughts due to Issho's words, "Makeshi-san that ship is the red force, it seems our targets are here".

"It seems so" with that I order the troops "Alright boys stay here me and Issho will handle the battle, while Lacroix will stay here making sure they can't retreat" once everyone acknowledges the order I and Issho head towards the island.

Once we landed both of us used our observation haki to our maximum sensing range to find our target, one we sensed about one kilometer away from us.

Once we were about 300 meters away I started sending constant waves of conqueror's haki until we reached their camp.

And once we were there I found almost all of the pirates on the ground foaming at the mouth, while Shanks, Ben Beckam, Yassop, Lucky Roux, and the rest of the main crew, were staring at us with their weapons swords drawn and guns pointed.

Seeing this I launched all of my conquerors at them, to which Shanks responded in kind, making my golden wave of haki clash against his red, one.

Back on earth everyone believed that Shanks was the best haki user of the current era, and they were right, not even Sengoku and Whitebeard's haki clash made me feel this.

When none of us could get an edge we both retracted our hakis and started laughing afterward, calming down. I start saying "It's been a long time since we last saw each other".

"It has I believe the last time was when Garp tried to catch my captain for the last time before he found the one piece".

To that, I nod, "As much as I would like to catch up I'm afraid I've been sent here to capture you" hearing me all of his crew tenses up "But unlike all the scumbag pirates I've captured, you are just a man having an adventure not killing any innocents" seeing him grin I continue "So why don't we just have a good old spar, instead of me trying to kill you and you doing the same to me".

Laughing at that, Shanks stands up drawing his supreme grade sword Griffon in the process, before we start he orders his crew to stand down and not intervene, making them hesitate a little before complying with his orders, orders I repeat to Issho.

Since he drew his sword I decided to do the same by summoning two medieval short swords in my hands.

Running towards each other we both swing our now coated weapons at each other creating a shockwave each time they collided, jumping backward I send two flying sword slashes at him which he blocked with slashes of his own, suddenly my observation haki warns me that in exactly 2,3 seconds Shanks would try and take my head with conquerors imbued slash, so I jumped back barely avoiding the attack, and since it couldn't hit me it went towards the forest creating a huge explosion.

Leaping in the air I call out the same attack I used against Sengoku during my training [Descent of the holy spears] seeing a hundred spears heading his way Shanks sends his Ryou-covered fist forward using [Emission] making his shockwave disperse my attack.

"So it's true you have all types at haki at an advanced level, but unfortunately for you, I can do the same" finishing my sentence I create a golden gauntlet on my hand, covering it with the typical orange-red colored bubble, using [Soru] to its maximum by kicking the ground fifteen times, I immediately appear in front of him calling out my attack [Fist of Heracles], widening his eyes Shanks didn't have any time to react even if his observation haki warned him of my attack, so he was only able to cross his arms in an x shape still holding his sword, taking the full force of my attack he was launched dozens of meters away only stopping after he hit a tree.

Coughing blood he tells me "That was one strong attack if I hadn't used haki before hitting the tree I would be paralyzed by now <grins> so allow me to return the favor" shivering a little I prepare myself.

Somehow copying my [Soru] Shanks gets in front of me swinging at me with another conqueror's sword attack one originally belonging to his old captain [Kamusari] being hit by this attack felt as if I was receiving a nuclear bomb to my [Tekkai] covered chest, and even with that technique, I was still sent flying spitting blood as I went.

Once I got on my feet I saw Issho preparing to attack "ISSHO STAY OUT OF THIS" hearing me he backs down again.

Getting on my knees and placing my hands in front of me, Shanks starts teasing "What's wrong, already giving up", knowing that he was trying to goad me. I merely stay calm.

Taking a deep breath I say "Shanks tell your crew to get back to the ship I plan on this island being destroyed by the time this fight is over", hearing my seriousness he relais the order to his crew making the head towards their ship, with Issho following.

Taking one last breath I use my awakening [Mountain range] finishing the attack name, giant spikes seemingly made out of black steel rise out of the ground everywhere near Shanks giving him no option but to jump in the air jumping between the spikes to avoid them.

--- two days later

And just like that we fought for two days and two nights without taking a break, and by the end of it, both of us were on the ground panting with cuts and bruises all over our bodies.

"HA-HA-HA, that was the best fight I've ever had" hearing him I laugh as well "XE-XE-XE-XE, that goes for me as well, I'm sure you'll be able to reach the one piece".

Hearing that he tells me "I have no intention of becoming the pirate king, that's a title that belongs to the new generation, plus I already know what the treasure is".

Raising an eyebrow at that I ask him "Oh and what is it?, it's not like I can find it myself".

"HA-HA alright I'll tell you" so once we both raise our bodies into a sitting position groaning all the way he tells me the biggest mystery in the show and manga.

"XE-XE I see, I think I finally understand why the elders are so concerned about keeping it a secret, though I wonder, who will be the next Joy Boy?".

Sighing he tells me "My captain somehow thought it was me, but I believe my destiny resides in helping this so-called Joy Boy to reach the treasure". If only he knew how right he was.

Before we could continue talking, both of our respective crews came running towards us, the pirates checking their captain, while Issho helped me stand up by swinging my arm over his shoulder.

"Until next time Akagami" hearing that he merely waves at me.

Now on the ship Issho asks me "While I can't see it, I assume that by all those attacks you destroyed the island?" at that I merely laugh confirming his thoughts, and the Island was destroyed where before there was only a giant ice mountain now it was littered with craters and giant spikes.
