50 The main battle begins

[Chapter 49: The main battle begins]

...

Many things have happened during these few days. First, Luffy and his crew were led to a trap by Crocodile just like in the Anime, and after some trouble they managed to escape unscathed.

Of course, it seemed that my apparitions in public haven't changed that much of the original story, at least for now that is...

After escaping, Luffy faced off against Crocodile while his crew departed towards Alubarna in order to stop the rebel-army from facing with the Royal Army, as it was all a plan made by Crocodile in order to take over the country and obtain the legendary weapon Pluton. There is to say... Luffy lost just like in the Anime.

However, thanks to his protagonistic powers (And the power of meat) He recovered and departed towards Alubarna in order to have the rematch against Crocodile.

I didn't have that much of a role these few days, aside from the usual persecution or travel through the desert, I just performed diligently my role of a Mob while observing attentively my surroundings just in case there was any kind of unwanted change in the story.

You know, things like an admiral suddenly arriving at Arabasta, or maybe a meteorite falling upon the city. Who knows, butterfly effect is scary after all...

Currently, the battle has already broken out, and both sides, the Royal Army and the rebel army, were already fighting in the middle of the Plaza. After Princess Vivi's attempt on stopping them failed, she dashed towards the palace with Sanji covering her back, and the other straw-hats started fighting against the main agents of Baroque works in order to stop them from interfering.

You know, like that steel-guy who forced Zoro to push his limits further and improve his swordsmanship abilities in the middle of the battle, that woman who could make any part of her body into sharp spikes, or the guy with transvestite tendencies and also the best character in the whole series.

Might as well make sure he doesn't die like in the original story, though it wasn't completely sure that he died, so I might as well just make sure something bad doesn't happen.

I think his name was Bon clay...

That matter aside, currently me and my group were running around the city while looking around trying to understand why of this sudden war.

"This is horrible..." Aveir, who was next to me, looked in horror at the constantly dying people with a dumbfounded expression on his face. Even though his personality was usually very carefree and irritable, this time even he was not able to make light of the current situation.

War, after all, was not something beautiful, and although the Anime did show some terrifying degree of the damage that this war was causing, seeing in person the blood stained floor and the constant screams of pain everywhere was something that could traumatize anyone in just a matter of minutes.

Not only was Aveir looking at the battlefield with a horrified expression, my marine companions were terrified as well, and tried their best to look away whenever they had the chance, and of course, so was I.

I had a despairing look on my face as I looked around me, as if scared of seeing so much death in just one place. But of course, this was not the first war in which I have been.

A few years ago I infiltrated within the border of a kingdom in the middle of the grand line and found out that there was a full out war between the commoners and the nobles of that Kingdom. There was to say that after studying the situation, and discovering that the nobles in that kingdom were the typical noble of the world of One piece, I slightly helped the commoner faction and made the battle even.

That matter aside, the current situation wasn't looking good in the slightest. However, my companions placed their worries aside and continued running in direction of the palace, after all, Tashigi had been warned that the "King" had tried to commit a genocide within one of the cities of this Kingdom, and we all knew that we, as marines, had to stop this terrible situation somehow.

Of course, I wasn't just gonna ignore the dying people around me. I have the power to help, and it wasn't like it could take that much of an effort to help. Also, none of them were actually bad guys and they were just fighting thinking that it was the best for their country and the people within it.

So, in the end I used my Conqueror Haki to make people from both sides to start falling unconscious gradually, making it look like they were actually dying, and continued running away along with my group.

Ah... I forgot to mention the part where I shot exploding-bullets straight into the butt holes of those that were part of Baroque Works and were infiltrating within both armies in order to cause more discord between both armies.

It wasn't that hard to locate them, they were smiling viciously like idiots, and had tattoos that said BAROQUE WORKS on their arms as if screaming that they were traitors. Yet no one noticed it in the slightest except from me...

"Aaaaaargh, my ass! My ass burns!!!"

"Who could do such an evil act?! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!"

"Someone... help me... I don't feel my butt hole anymore..."

It was like music to my ears.

And since this was the last battle of this arc in the story, I've already planned out a few things to do before it all ends. Just some small matters that I considered important to do, and others that I just wanted to do for the sake of it.

One of it was to look at the Poneglyph of this country, and try to decipher it somehow. It's not like I lose something trying, even if I can't read them.

Who knows, maybe I have a talent for deciphering old languages lost in time?

Even if I couldn't, I also had the option of taking a photo using the portable camera installed on the watch on my wrist to study it later. And since this Poneglyph indicated how to find the legendary Weapon Pluton, finding it and taking it for myself wasn't that bad of an option... And then mass-producing it could be epic...

As far as I remember, Pluton was a gigantic warship on steroids that could destroy an entire island with just a few attacks from its canons. Mass-producing for my personal organization it could be certainly ultra epic!

Imagine that villain B finally appears in the horizon with the legendary ship Pluton under his control...

°°°

"Bwahahahaha! Finally, I've achieved true power... With this, the whole world will fall under my rule!"

A gigantic ship that could even rival a small island in size was standing in the middle of the ocean while being surrounded by thousands of ships from the marine. Yet, the captain controlling this ship looked confident and bared his teeth at the marines in the distance in order to ridicule them.

It wasn't long before the battle broke out.

*Boooom!!!*

*Baaaam!!*

But even with the numerical advantage, the Marine was defeated, and only a few more ships stood bravely on the verge of collapsing. The villain B, who was laughing like crazy while having his eyes turned to crimson color due to being filled with blood, decided to finish them off with a wave of his hand.

"From now on, this will be the era of Villain B..."

The marines, who had a helpless look in their eyes as they saw the incoming attack, only closed the eyes and awaited for their death patiently. They fought until the very end after all, but even then, it was futile...

Just then...

*Boooooom!!*

Another attack intercepted the one from Pluton and blasted it away.

"Naniiii?!"

Villain B, who had his mouth wide opened, looked in fear at the horizon where thousands of ships could be seen approaching slowly in his direction.

"I-Impossible! How could something like that exist?! It doesn't make sense!!!"

The marines, who were with their eyes closed waiting for their incoming death, looked startled at the sudden salvation as they wondered who could have stopped an attack from a legendary weapon just like that.

"Who saved us...?... Naniii?!"

In the horizon, thousands of ships equal in size and design to Pluton approached slowly towards them, not only that, but millions of ravens were flying above them, as if foreshadowing the incredible battle that could break out.

On top of the leading ship, a man wearing shadow black robes and a metallic skull-shaped mask that covered his whole face, stood majestically while the sunset behind his back seemed to add even more of a dramatic aura around him. His crimson glowing eyes glanced at the legendary pirate Villain B with upmost contempt, as if expressing that it was nothing but an insect in his eyes.

Suddenly, the deep and almost Ethereal voice of this person spread through the whole battlefield, filling the hearts of everyone that heard it with respect and fear.

"It's Shadow eminence time, baby"

°°°

Hehe, my future looks bright...
