It was just another day at the judicial island of Enies Lobby. World government agents in their black suit, and marines in their uniform marched in lines guarding the island. This island was the pride of the world government and marines. But today it was attacked.
Not by the revolutionaries or any Yonko crew. No by an unknown pirate group.
Pirate ships usually sometimes ended up here due to bad weather pushing navigators around the island. Those who were unfortunate enough to get near Enies Lobby were usually shot down indiscriminately as long as the ships flew a jolly roger.
This time it was supposed to be no different. But it was…
Agents and marines ran, leaving their posts, for a giant orange meteor was falling from the sky.
"Run for your lives!"
"A meteor is coming!"
"What kind of pirate crew shoots a meteorite in a sea-fight?!"
The orange maple-meteor fell onto the main gate, destroying the gate, with a large crater forming in the middle. The impact shook the island, creating a shockwave that shook the whole island. But that wasn't all, the moment the orange meteor smashed into the front gate, it almost burst like a balloon, flooding everything that was near.
The soldiers and agents tried to flee, but they were either washed away by the maple flood, or caught in it. The syrup hardened immediately, capturing them like living statues.
Not one soldier managed to escape the maple flooding, as everyone was encased in strong hardened maple. Even the navy ships that were docked on the island were destroyed due to the influx of maple that spread around its structure.
Luckily for them, Nami was kind enough not to kill the trapped soldiers, leaving them just enough room for them to breathe, but not move. Almost the whole front part of the island was covered in hardened orange maple, trapping soldiers and stopping any marine warships from working.
The few world government agents and marines that managed to survive not getting trapped by Maple were terrified by what happened.
All eyes were on the destroyed building covered in orange maple. The building was destroyed in a way that cleared the path for anyone to reach the main island gate. And from there, four young pirates walked in.
They were Yosaku, Anchor, Cricket, and lastly Hatchan, all in their disguise. The last one even carried a pirate flag with a long-nosed skeleton Jolly Roger.
Law and Nami stayed on the ship, along with Aisa. They wouldn't go in, as their main mission was to pull back from the island. Mainly with Law's ability to easily bring his crewmates into the ship.
Still, they had other problems on their hand. The World Government and Navy ships would soon send backup, so they will need to be cautious. But for now, they could wait it out a bit.
"Tha-that… this can't be happening right?" one of the world government agents asked while they let the four pirates pass, "W-we have to stop them…"
Yet no one moved, not even him. No one, not the world government agents nor the marines tried to stop them as they walked forward towards the main gate. It was as if they knew they wouldn't be able to stop them.
"I hope we didn't go overboard," Yosaku mumbled, seeing the sorry state of the soldiers that looked at them like terror incarnate.
"This should be enough right? Archy?" Cricket said, running his fingers through his fake white beard. Like everyone he was also wearing the maple mask for protection.
"Yeah, this should be enough, Cricky," The former marine said, as the alarms rang loud. Anchor cracked his knuckles, "Haven't been in a good fight for a while, this should be fun."
Yosaku nodded, his one-handed axe on his shoulder, while his round shield hung on his back, "According to the rumors there are supposed to be giants guarding the main island gate… wonder how strong they are?"
"Oh, giants? I wonder if they know Dorry and Broggy?" Hatchan asked, tilting his head.
"Huh, wouldn't that be funny," Yosaku said, pumped at the prospect of fighting giants. Like Usopp, he also admired the giants. Back in Little Garden Broggy was the one who showed him how to use his axe and shield properly. So he looked up to them quite a lot.
"But still, we should be on guard," Hatchan said, "Devil fruit users are tricky… we need to be careful of those."
All four of them stopped at the front of the main island gate. The gates were as big as they were imposing. And as if stopping them two giants jumped out from behind the gates.
"Haa~ I didn't get enough sleep," One of the giants said, a large axe in hand, He grinned at the little humans in front of him, "Eh, there are only four… oi Oimo am I too drunk?"
"Nah, Kashii you are fine… they must have just lucked out," The other giant named Oimo replied.
With that, both Oimo and Kashii laughed, not even finding the pirates worrying.
"Hmm… it seems we have a problem," Anchor said, running his fingers through his fake white-beard.
"Oh, are the giants tough?" Cricket said excitedly, even Yosaku shared his enthusiasm.
"Kishishshi… we are though…"
"Yeah…"
"No, that's not the issue. They aren't taking us seriously enough? We need to bring the CP9 members to us, not the gatekeepers."
Hearing that the giants were ticked off, glaring dangerously at Anchor.
"Oh, yeah little one? Then fight me one on one!" Oimo joked, "Oshishishishi…"
"Sure," Anchor shrugged, tossing something into his mouth, "But I won't be able to hold back… sorry if I have to break a few of your bones."
"Oh, then I take the second one!" Yosaku said, grinning, pointing his axe towards Kashii, "An axe against an axe… let's see who's better!"
"Aw… I wanted to challenge 'em," Cricket said, "But oh well, hope I meet a good swordsman here…"
"Me too," Hatchan said as both of them backed off, leaving room for Anchor and Yosaku to fight.
The spectators —marines and agents— looked on as the pirates challenged the giants. Shocked, terrified, and possibly bamboozled.
