Chapter 8: Bloody Rain And Massacre night

The once peaceful island where V first stayed, survived, and later met Bang and a group of animals that she befriended like siblings, even though they aren't humans; it's better than being alone, and Bang trained her for all these years, building a relationship like a father and daughter, always having each other's backs, and telling her about his long-shared stories about his adventures and battles during his youth, such as how he trained three marine rookies whose names are Sengoku, Garp, and Tsuru, and how he once met and saved a genius scientist named Dr. Vegapunk, whose head was huge and supposedly reached the height of gaints and he laughed at him all the time

Bang told so many stories that made V laugh and express awe and excitement, making her want to go out to the sea even more. Bang told her his side of the story, now wanting to hear V's story, but she told him

Just yesterday at night, both V and Bang were outside camping, sitting on the ground with a fire pit in front of them as they killed a wild boar and were now roasting it for their dinner tonight.

"We'll, I don't remember everything; I don't remember who are my parents, my home, or which seas I'm from; I just don't remember anything," she says to him as she shows him her scar on her head on the right side of her face.

"Ah, I see, so that's one of your reasons for wanting to go out to sea," he says as he looks up at the sky, "but that isn't one of the reasons I want to go out there; I want to have an adventure with a lot of battles, but what I don't care about is my past because I'm me and I'm a new person who created a new change in the world," she says with determination as Bang lets out a sigh of relief. "Then I'll gladly see it myself." Bang says then chuckles along with V, then both started to laugh out loudly, enjoying the night filled with laughter and joy.

But now that once-peaceful island is ruined and has become a living nightmare. Back on the mountain, in the dojo, two figures exit the flaming dojo as the storm keeps adding fuel to the flames, and everything within can be heard falling and crushing as they walk past a group of a small army of pirates. "Make sure no one is alive and kill them," they say as they continue to walk as one in charge of the group speaks, "Don't worry, we won't let you down." The leader of the group speaks. As they leave for the shore, where the boats are docked

"Alright everyone, you heard them search for any survivors and make sure no one is left alive." They scattered in different directions as the leader in charge looked at the flaming palace with a wide grin like a psychopath and said, "Heh, one is alive in there," as he walked away on the search for any survivors and killed them.

On the side of the mountain where V, who had finally made it to the top, then proceeded to lift herself up from the edge, once she straightened herself up and looked up, she immediately noticed she had climbed the wrong side of the mountain where the entrance is, as she met with the concrete wall and not the entrance, as this was the back of the dojo.

With no time to walk around to the entrance, she decided to punch through the walls, as there was now a hole in them. She then entered the room, which was in flames. She then activated her observation haki to locate Bang or anyone who is alive, and as she sprayed her observation haki in a wider range, seconds passed before she finally found him.

as he is located in the training room but critically injured as he's losing consciousness and getting closer to death, with no time to waste she quickly rams through walls, passing by the friends that she befriended who either were cut in half, burned, or buried as their limbs sticking out. She rams through anything with her punches and kicks; there's nothing stopping her—not even the heat or smoke are effective on her, not even a little.

She makes it to the entrance of the training room, but suddenly the ceiling of the room falls. Now blocked off by wood pillars and the rage fire in the room, she decides to use the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist by forming her thumb, index, and middle fingers in a claw formation as suddenly a pinkish-red aura surrounds her right hand, and with a right-hook slash, instantly the wood pillars get cut open in pieces and get blown away, and everything that blocked her way gets cut into pieces as well.

V runs into the room without hesitating as everything in the room keeps falling apart. Finally, she found him, as he was there on the ground, bleeding out from his wounds. What's worst is that Bang's right leg and his left arm are served off, which caused him to lose more blood from his open wound quickly. V grabs a bandage from her sacthel bag and ties it around his cut limbs, then she picks him up and puts him on her back quickly in a hurry, using a combination of Geppo and Soru at full speed to get to the exit.

While dodging and weaving as pieces of the dojo are falling and breaking apart, seeing the entrance in sight with useing Geppo immediately, she makes to the exit, despite the fact that the bang is heavy, but that didn't matter to her at all; she made it to the exit as the whole dojo building collapsed behind her, with no time to stop as she was hurrying down the stair to get to the courtyard to get treated, even though it might be too late.

but unaware to her that as she ran, there were eyes watching her from afar, but in her mind, she didn't proceed with it as she continued racing down the steps, being careful with Bang on her back, and with her hearing mainly focused on Bang, hearing his heart beating slowly as it was bearable to hear mean death.

Make it to the courtyard of the training area, as it was in fire around as well, but not too much. She suddenly hears Bang's low, hearable hoarse voice, "V." She halts her steps, leaving a dust cloud behind her. "Bang! Look, don't talk, I-" she says, but halts her words as Bang raises his shaky finger. "First, put me down," he orders as V gently puts him on the ground, and Bang coughs up blood from his mouth.

"Bang, look! Your dying so st-" V tries to argue, but Bang speaks over her: "Everyone dies eventually; I want you to listen to me, okay", he says as he coughs up blood. "I haven't had time to fully teach you everything, but I'm glad that I got to teach you one last time. I was always a fighter all my life and never accomplished anything for myself or anyone else. I made promises to some people, but I broke them, leaving a trail of hatred and regret toward me, which led me to this punishment," he says, then chuckles but regrets as he coughs up more blood.

"Sto-" V tried to speak, but Bang held his fist directly against her chest, or more precisely, against her heart. "That's why you need to think about what you'll accomplish while you're alive. Don't be like me; be free and live however you want, and most importantly," he raises his fist and gently hits her where her heart is, "be strong; don't let anything hold you back; become who you were meant to be and move forward to your dream," as his whole arm shakes. "G-ood...bye V," he says as he smiles and his eyes close slowly, then his arm falls on her lap.

A moment of silence passes as V sits there watching Bang's body not moving or not hearing a single breath or single heartbeat, watching him closely to see if this was a prank or a dream. Bang sometimes pulls small pranks on her, or if this was a dream, maybe she overslept and it's morning and not a rainy day, and any moment Bang is going to wake her up, then get to training.

but nothing has happened for seconds, minutes, or hours of nothing, meaning it's a reality and not a dream. Bang really is dead. All of her friends are dead. The one place she calls home is now destroyed; everything is burning away, just as V's heart is burning with some emotion she hasn't felt in her previous life—just joy, happiness, and laughter are all she feels all the time.

RAGE

Feeling emotionless as she sits there for a moment, taking it all in her mind, suddenly she slowly grabs Bang's hand, brings it up to her forehead, and holds it tight in her hand as she speaks with a bit of sadness and a dead voice, "Thank you, Bang, for all that you have done for the last 4 years. Your teachings won't go to waste on me, so thank you for the love and thank you for the joy that we spent together." She lets out a small chuckle at the end, but it doesn't last long as she lets out a little bit of sobbing.

Then tears started to drop from her eyes as they fell to the ground. She tried to stop the tears from coming out of her eyes. More and more tears kept coming suddenly, as if the skies were joining her sadness and grief. It became very dark, and as lighting rumbled in the skies, rain fell from the skies as it spread around the island, putting out the fire as smoke rose in the air.

As the rain keeps on pouring, nothing but the rain can be heard, but suddenly a group of footsteps can be heard behind her, but she doesn't acknowledge them or turn to see who they are. A shadow covers her eyes. Not knowing what is happening, she hears someone speak, "Well, look at these only two. Is that all right?" One speaks, "Yes, that's right, no one else." Another speaks as they get closer.

The footsteps halt as they stand behind her. "Hey, you little girl, I'm going to need you to stand up and face us." One speaks with a mocking and arrogant voice, with no response coming from V. The group's leader, who is speaking, becomes irritated and shouts to her, "HEY I'M TALKING TO YOU LITTLE BITCH!" He decided to kick her across the face, which sent her body flying across the yard.

with her body rolling across the yard, then stop with her lying back on the ground as the rain pours on her, looking up at the skies with emotionless eyes and no sign of life in her eyes, just empty within her heterochromia eyes. She lays there, not moving an inch, with so many thoughts rushing through her head.

'Why,.....why,.....why did this happen?' She thought as she still lay there on the ground, looking at the sky, 'Everything was just fine, but now this happens, so why dam it?!' she thought, and then footsteps could be heard coming towards her. "Heh, what a weak little bitch girl! Maybe we'll just take you and then sell you as a slave. Hahaha," the leader of the group says.

'But I can't let this affect me. This was bound to happen to me somehow, but I never expected it to be like this' she thought as she slowly stood up, now standing on her feet with her head low, the shadow covering her eyes, not looking at them. "Haha, so you finally listen to us, huh now!!" as the leader of the group stands right in front of her.

As she stands there without moving, not even a glance, "Heh, fine, I'll just kill you where you are!" The leader of the group yells as the group behind him laughs, grabbing a sword from his waist as he points at her face. "Any last words, little girl?" he says mockly as the moment passes and suddenly lighting rumbles in the sky. "Yeah, I do." Suddenly, she's gone where she was standing. "You are all going to die."

With one movement, the guy's sword is gone in his hand, and later he feels pain as both of his hands are up in the air as the girl in front has his sword in her hand. Blood drips from the sword as the guy looks down to see if it was a hallucination of some kind, then looks up at the girl as she stands there twirling the sword in her hands, then raises it up to her face.

Taking a moment as everyone stands there shocked, and as the leader staggers backward and raises both bloody stumps where his hands once were, he looks at it in shock and horror. "What... you just... SHE JUST CUT MY FUCKING HAND OFF! MY FUCKING HAND!" he screams in pain, then the leader's legs give out and he slumps to the ground. His eyes darted around, as though confused.

"WHAT ARE YOU STANDING AROUND FOR? KISS HER!" He yells at his team. "What's he talkin' about? Kiss her?" The ones in the back say it confusedly as they look at each other, not understanding what the leader meant, but V voices break their talk. "He's in shock. I think he meant to say, "Kill her." She explains it to them as she steps back into the shadow with her eyes glowing.

A tense beat of silence passes, and then the group rushes and surrounds V, but she remains unphased by the number of advantages on their side with her eyes completely shut. 'Bang, I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't apologize for this or that I didn't get to save you, even though it's not my problem what or who did this to you, but I can't just ignore it' she thought as memories rushed through her head of everything they had been through together.

The group stands there, watching her as she stands there, still not moving, but a swordman decides to begin their assault, with one man leading the charge toward V. "ATTACK! KILL HER!!" calling out the order to attack, but V remains still as she remembers his final words, '"Be strong; don't let anything hold you back; become who you were meant to be and move forward to your dream." Yeah, I'll forward'

the attacker getting closer to her, 'I won't let anything hold me back!!' as she furiously opens her eyes, filled with rage and bloodlust, ready to annihilate them all. The swordsman leading the charge attempts to slash V with his katana. However, in a flash, V slashes upward, using her own sword to sever both his hands, literally disarming the man. Then she slides over his back to vault around to the other side of him while grabbing his falling sword. This allows V to intercept another fighter running toward her from a different angle. She slashed the top of that adversary's head before turning around and decapitating the man that she disarmed.

A fighter armed with two knives flanks V, while another fighter with a cross-shaped design in his hair circles around in front of her. V quickly stabs the man behind her in the back with one sword and then delivers a devastating upward slash to the frontal adversary with the stolen sword that she grabbed. She uses the Rankyaku through her arm-propelled jets to increase the sword's cutting power, brutally ripping the man's face off with the slash.

V lets go of her sword and kicks another fighter trying to attack her from behind. The force of the kick is so strong that it spins the man's head around and breaks his neck. Then V quickly mounts his body, wrapping her legs around his head before bending herself backward into a handstand in order to avoid an attack from behind. She enters a handstand while slicing the man with the broken neck's head in one motion. Then she uses one of the attacker's knives to stab this man in the leg before slicing it down his groin area.

After killing off most of the squad in just a few moments, V lowers her center of gravity and crawls along the ground at high speed, turning around and slicing a man's leg off with the knife. As she stands up from the ground, an attacker tries to deliver a flying roundhouse kick, but V deflects it with her right hand while simultaneously using her sword to block a slash from another attacker's katana.

The attacker with the sword tries to follow up with another attack, but V drops her weapon and crosses her arms with blistering speed. She grabs both attackers by the throats with a swift, deadly grab and then rips out their throats. as they fall to the ground, bleed out, and die on the ground, looking around as their bodies are everywhere.

Hear someone let out a war cry from behind as V turns swiftly around with a glare. She then extends only her thumb, index, and middle fingers in a clawed hand, but the attack was closer than she expected as he delivered an upward slash on the corner of her right lip, sending blood flying with V looking up. The attack grins, but it falters as V looks at him with an angry glare. Then she punched off his head and used the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist to rip his body apart.

As the body was then ripped into pieces and fell to the ground like pieces of paper, the ones who are still standing are the man with no hands, as he is on his knees in disbelief with tears coming out of his eyes and nose like a waterfall, and the other was V, standing there covered in blood head to toe as her eyes glow in the dark as the rain washes over the blood from her body.

The leader looks up, his eyes wide showing fear, to see the sky is dark and red, not a full moon and night, and a dark figure bearing down on him—the tallest person he has ever seen with a sharp claw and shark-like teeth but big, silhouetted ominously against the moon. He looks for a moment like a Monter figure, something not of this world. With courage, he manages to speak.

"Who are you?" he asked, but the figure disappeared from his vision. Then suddenly, his world seemed to turn upside down, and the figure is seen sitting on his shoulders after twisting his head as he is paralyzed in fear. The figure remains silent as it brings out its hand and uses it to form sharpened claws as it slashes across the head, destroying his head and leaving a headless corpse on its knee.

The entire island was quiet. The only thing that could be heard was the rain, but it suddenly stopped. It was quiet enough that a pin could drop from one side of the island, but the quiet was interrupted by a sudden scream coming from V. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" while releasing her conqueror haki, as the dark clouds clear themselves and all the wildlife on the island either runs away or passes out as they stand as the night filled with sadness and rage in the air.

Wassup, you guys enjoy this chapter, and for those who are mad at me and might comment on how I made Bang dead, I know he is amongst the top 10 strongest beings in the OPM universe so far, but it's just for the story, nothing else. If you hate it, then I suggest you just leave and find another one-piece novel. Also, I have a question for you all, as this relates to the One Piece manga.

So far, I have only mentioned one spoiler chapter; if you read it in this chapter, then you know, but what I want to ask is, where should I stop the MC in this novel with its knowledge of the one-piece chapter since I had a character in mind and something in the recent chapter is concerning me since I had a plan about it, but I'm not going to say it for those anime watchers, so the question is, should I stop the MC knowledge in this upcoming chapter or just stop at this recent chapter for the future?

I'm sorry that I haven't gotten to post the three chapters like I promised since school is coming to an end and I've been busy with homework and projects for my final assignments, but don't worry, I've got a surprise for you'all anyway. That's all, and I'll see you'all next time.
