2 Ch 02 - Recognizing the Situation

Just as I'm in range to finally hear them, the first thing I hear is the large monstrous man gruffly yelling at the two shorter people, "FOXY! you cheated!"

The short fat man seems to react to this, making him this so-called 'Foxy' and immediately replies with a mad voice to his tone and with an exaggerated wave of his arms "What are you talking about Jack! Do you see any cheaters here? What are you saying to your captain?!!"

The giant, this so-called 'Jack' replies back even louder, "You goddamn fox! What I'm talking about is you cheating in the games! There is just no way someone with a measly bounty of 4 million could best someone as great as me! I have a 25 million bounty after all! Plus! You weren't even all that good at hiding your cheating in the first place!"

When the giant says that I hear the blue haired girl whisper-shout at the Foxy guy besides her with a startled tone, "psst foxy I told you we should stop doing that, there was bound to eventually be people who would get mad!"

The Foxy guy then whisper-shouts back to her in reply, "Shush, I know that, now be quiet you're whispering too loud!"

The blue-haired girl seems to get mad at this comment and quickly whispers back even more fiercely, "What! No, you are!"

This continues back and forth for a while before the giant seems to get tired of it and takes a menacing step forward and yells "enough! You both are whispering too loud goddamnit! See this is why I would never join a crew full of imbeciles like you guys! Not only are you weak! But a bunch of dumbasses as well!"

This seems to finally bring the two idiots out of their stupor, with the Foxy guy yelling back with heat in his voice, "What are you saying Jack! It's already done, you are part of my crew and that final! Are you going back on your deal?! If you do, it will be known that Jack the Machete is a coward that lost the Davy Back Fight and deserves to no longer be a pirate!"

The giant stills for a second at this, before loudly laughing in response, "HAHAHAHAHA, well no one will know if I get rid of you guys here once and for all! This will be the end of both of you, for daring to mess with Jack the Machete!"

He takes another menacing step forward, and the two smaller figures begin to slightly tremble and back up towards the ledge of the cliff.

The girl then yells in panic, "Hey wait! If you kill us now our crew will tell everyone about what happened, and you will be disowned as a pirate!"

Yet, this statement doesn't seem to affect the giant any more than the previous one did, as he simply shrugs his big shoulders and nonchalantly replies, "Eh I also have my crew there, if they try to run away from the island and spread rumors about me, my crew will simply kill them all off! HAHAHA!"

As I hear all of these crazy things, I go into a stupor because I suddenly begin connecting all the dots of this situation together and start remembering certain things from my memory.

They are scenes from one of my favorite anime that I used to love watching weekly: One Piece.

More Specifically, scenes from a filler arc in the show that was so cringy and crappy that I had intentionally completely forgotten about it, that is until this very moment where I am forced to remember it.

It was about some scummy low tier pirate that went around causing trouble with the so-called Davy Back fights, where the winner of the game gets to recruit the losers crew members, and if they don't want anyone else from the crew, they could simply take the losers pirate flag or redesign it to look retarded, with the losing side being honor bound not to use it again if taken or display the shitty flag even if it makes a mockery of them; which by the way I found the whole thing completely idiotic and useless, since you know…they are pirates, they aren't meant to follow rules.

Anyways back to the present, as I see this scene in front of me, I start to put all the pieces together.

I woke up on a random cliff on what seems to be an island, with a disgusting aftertaste in my mouth that tasted worse than shit and that I had to throw up to mask its aftertaste, and then I see a bunch of strange people that seemed to fit characters from the One Piece show a little too much.

And now they are talking about being pirates, their crews and even the specific game, the Davy Back Fight.

All of this leads me to one simple conclusion! A conclusion that is so stupid and idiotic to think about but that seems to be hitting me right in the face regardless, IM IN THE FUCKING WORLD OF ONE PIECE!
