34 34- pirate flag

The next day.

Ethan was practicing sword-wielding with Zora and Kuina in the training room.

"I wasn't expecting you to be so good with a sword, you can really compete against me and Zora." Kuina said in shock when she saw Ethan's sword skills.

"Kuina can you make two good swords for me" Ethan looked at the two swords he was holding and then sighed because they were cracked all over because of his training with Zora and Kuina.

"I can make you a good sword that can't be broken easily. Look at the two swords on Zora's waist. I'm the one who made them and you can see their quality because they didn't crack during the fight." Kuina said while pointing at two of the three swords Zora was carrying around her waist.

Zora gave the two swords to Ethan for him to examine. After examining them, Ethan looked at the third sword and asked, "What about the third sword? Didn't you make it?"

"No, I'm not the one who made it, it's an inheritance from my family passed down the generations, unfortunately no one could use it before because everyone who carried it refuses, so it is not known to the world and it did not become a famous sword. But Zora was the only one who was able to carry it and use it without any problems." Kuina sighed with regret that such a good sword was not universally known.

"So, how do you appreciate the quality of it with your katana," said Ethan curiously.

"Based on my sword-making experience, I believe it is a higher rank than Wado Ichimonji, and I believe its quality has reached the same quality as the Supreme Grade." Kuina said while looking at the sword in admiration, unfortunately she couldn't hold it or touch it because the sword refused her.

"Anyway, I'll take a day to make two good swords for you. After all, the ship has some good minerals that I can use." After Kuina finished saying this, Alvida walked into the practice room and said, "Lunch is ready."

After that everyone went to the living room and found that the food had been arranged on the dining table. Ethan looked around but couldn't find Lucy, so he asked in astonishment, "Where's Lucy? It's impossible to miss lunch."

"She's busy trying to draw our pirate flag, I think she's done with it at this time so she will come in a little while." Makino said with a gentle smile. "Unfortunately you didn't see her doing this, she looked so cute while she worked so hard."

After Makino finished her words, Lucy hurried into the living room with a flag in hand, then showed the shape of the pirate flag she had drawn to Ethan and the girls with a big smile. "Look, it looks good, doesn't it? This will be our pirate flag."

The flag was a skull wearing a straw hat with crossbones behind the skull, but the flag looks very distorted. The skull was skewed in a strange way, forming the letter S.

"I refuse I don't want this ugly flag to be our flag" Once Alvida saw the flag she expressed her disdain for Lucy's ugly work.

"But I worked hard to draw this," Lucy said annoyed.

Ethan approached Lucy, patted her shoulder and smiled sweetly, "Lucy, I don't object to your drawing, but you promised me that some of my characteristics would appear on the flag, but I don't see any of them."

"I forgot about that, hehehe." Lucy laughed lightly. "I will add some of your features to the pirate flag now."

When Lucy wanted to go change the flag, she saw lunch and her saliva started to drool, "I'll do that after lunch."

After that everyone sat down and started eating lunch, after Lucy finished eating she grabbed the pirate flag and wanted to start modifying it to add Ethan's features. But Ethan grabbed her by the shoulder and said with a smile, "How about we do a contest to see who can draw the best flag? The best flag will be chosen as our pirate flag."

Everyone agreed, then the competition for the best pirate flag that could be drawn began. Makino approached Ethan and said, "I don't know how to draw but I know how to embroider with thread. Can you tell me which feature you have, you want to add to the pirate flag?"

"I eat dragon fruit, so I want you to add that as I'll use two swords..." Ethan then started describing the features he wanted to add to the flag.

After a while, Alvida, Nami, and Lucy started drawing and Makino started embroidering on a small piece of cloth. While Zora, Kuina and Ethan stand aside and did not join the competition because they don't know how to draw.

So the three of them decided to act as the judges for the competition. The first to finish was Lucy, who came to the three, showing them the flag she had drawn with a smile, sure that she would win the competition.

Once Zora and Kuina saw the distorted flag, they gave Lucy a 0/10. When Lucy saw this she was completely shocked, Ethan felt pity so he gave her a 10/10.

"Ethan, get out of here, you're being unfair." Zora was upset when she saw Ethan giving Lucy a much higher rating than she deserved.

"I am the captain and have the right to evaluate her pirate flag." Ethan said while making Lucy sit on his lap.

The second to finish drawing is Alvida. She drew a pirate flag consisting of a skull with red hearts in the eye socket with two penises crossed behind the skull.

Without any thought, Zora, Kuina, and Ethan gave Alvida a 0/10.

"Why would you give me a 0/10? I drew the best feature for Ethan." Alvida walked away in annoyance when she saw them rate her work like this.

The third person to finish the drawing is Nami, she drew a pirate flag consisting of a skull wearing a straw hat with arms covered with dragon scales crossed behind the skull. The arms were similar to Ethan's when covered with dragon scales.

After discussing a bit among the judges, Zora gives Nami a 7/10, Kuina gives her 8/10 while Ethan gives her a 10/10.

An hour later Makino finished the embroidery on the piece of cloth, and brought it to judges to evaluate her work.

The figure on the cloth is so amazing, it's a dragon skull wearing a straw hat with two swords crossed behind the skull. The skull is similar to Ethan's in the shape of a dragon, it was surprising that Makino would have done this even though she had never seen him before and had only heard Ethan describe his dragon shape.

So the results of the evaluation were like this.

Zora 8/10

kuina 9/10

Ethan 10/10

So Makino was chosen as the winner, and her reward was to do the extra work of doing an 'embroidery' on the ship's sails.
