20 Three months later

Sitting blindfolded beside a cave near a half built ship, I kept my my mind calm and waited patiently. Focusing all my senses as I tried to predict my opponents next move.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" I yelled as I tossed out a pair of scissors at the same time Morph took the shape of a hand and threw out paper.

"Ha! How's that for progress!" I thought with a bright smile. After another few games I got up and stretched my legs.

Walking toward the cave I trailed my hand along the ground, picking up my metal pipe. Leaving the blindfold on as I began to train my body once more. Moving through a familiar pattern of techniques with practiced ease.

No longer did I clumsily flail my body in ways I assumed were effective, or ways I thought looked cool. Now each of my movements was precise and deadly. The difference was clear as day. Calling a stream of water from the shore line without stopping my bodies momentum, I caught the incoming water with the end of the hollow pipe, filling it to the brim before I began to move through a separate set of motions.

Each time I struck out this time a blast of pressurized water followed. Striking the cliff side to my left with enough force to crack stone.

At the end of every strike I pulled the expended liquid back into the pipe before preparing for the next. Doing my best to speed up the flow of water to better synchronize with my attacks.

The past three months training under Naguri have been extremely beneficial. From his detailed understanding of navigation and his skill as a ship wright, to his martial prowess and raw power Naguri has been an invaluable aid to my growth. A veritable wellspring of knowledge.

One of the things I didn't even think of when coming to this world is the difference of constellations. Above my head every night is a completely different star system than the one I'm familiar with on earth. Due to me carrying Jack Sparrow's compass and the fact that I possess Percy's powers as a Demigod and Sinbad's ability to read the flow of all things, I figured I didn't need to worry to much about ordinary navigation.

That being said learning how to navigate without my abilities is something I planned to do anyway. Naguri is just helping speed up the process. And though I'll never be a ship wright, knowing the basics of how to fix a ship is something all sailors should posses.

I still go down and fight with the people in the Grey Terminal on a near daily basis. And I haven't stopped hunting the wild beasts on Mount Corvo for my own food. But after I've done all that I come here to train with Naguri. My underwater cave isn't too far from here, so its perfect.

And when he's not training me I'm helping him carry materials, or doing what I can to aid him in building his ship. It's nothing fancy, just a single mast carousel. Much like the Going Merry. Only with a double sided wooden hammer for a figurehead.

I feel deeply satisfied watching the ships completion grow closer with ever passing day. Sparring with Naguri, talking to him about his adventures and learning all I can about the Grand Line, it was a wonderful time for me. He honestly reminded me of my grandfather. And just like when my grandfather spoke, I listened to every word with rapt attention and did my utmost to soak in everything Naguri had to offer.

I never did see Luffy again after that first encounter, nor did I see Ace or Sabo despite my attempts to find them. I tried using Jack Sparrow's compass, but it just kept spinning. I guess I just don't know what I want. Either that or it was trying to point at Sabo, Ace and Luffy simultaneously. Oh well, I'm a patient man. Its not like I'm in a rush or anything. Besides, I've been watching Porchemy and his men for a while now. Since I know he captures and tortures Luffy at some point, causing Ace and Sabo to come to the rescue, I just need to wait for the right time to make my appearances.

The only problem is that I don't know when it will all go down. So for now I train. Another week passed by without incident when Morph came flying towards me. Practically smacking me in the face despite me being underwater at the time.

But he did what I had asked and brought word when Straw Hat Luffy entered the Grey Terminal. Thankfully I had the strange little blob on lookout duty, or I would have been too busy hunting in the waters around the island to notice.

I rode back to shore on the crest of a large wave the instant I heard the news. Standing on the back of a wooden surf board I carved from a Koa tree. A light weight, flexible material perfect for surfing.

Sticking it into the sand near Nagturi's hideout once I made it to shore, I jumped up and grabbed hold of a nearby branch pulling myself up with ease. I climbed into the forest and sprinted across the branches before leaping high into the sky and flying towards the Grey Terminal with a beat of my tiny wings.

Flying out from the forest I landed on the ground just outside of the grey terminal. Right behind me the entire way flew silver winged falcon.

"Take me to where you saw Luffy."

Morph didn't need any more direction than that. With a flap of his transformed wings he was ahead of me, gliding on the air as he surveyed the mounds of trash and the people crawling over them. I would draw to much attention if I flew overheard in broad daylight.

I followed behind him from the ground, carrying my metal pipe, already filled with water in preparation. On top of that two extra gourds had been added to my waist for a total of four. And each one is filled to the brim with water.

Satisfied that I was as prepared as ever to face Porchemy I picked up my pace, my bare feet striking the compact dirt with such strength they left clear foot prints in their wake.

Any stray nail, or piece of scrap metal I stepped on was bent and broken under my dense Atlantean skin, allowing me the comfort of roaming barefoot through a scream heap without the worry of hurting myself or getting an infection. In fact without socks and shoes constricting my toes I can grip the ground far better than before.

I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind as I heard Morph screech out to me from over head. Apparently he already found Luffy.
