Chap 19 AUTOBIOGRAPHY

####

Ahoy there matey! Ye want to hear the tale of Jack Sparrow in the world of One Piece? Well, let me tell ye, it's a tale that's as long as the Grand Line itself.

Now, where do I begin? Oh, aye, I was born in the Grand Line, but I've sailed the four seas too. Wherever I went, the people would be scared of me. My crew and I gathered a lot of fame, but it was not the kind of fame that brings ye good fortune.

I wasn't always a pirate, ye know. I was once a young man with nothin' but courage and bravery in me heart. How did I become a pirate, ye ask? Well, let me tell ye, it's a tale that's as twisted as the Calm Belt itself. Once when me village was attacked by bandits, I used me wits to kill them all off. However, me childhood enemy and rival, who had joined the marines, got jealous when I, the one who was a jobless, worthless lad of the village, had become the village hero. He framed me for a crime I did not commit. So I decided to go full-time pirate and started me journey. Lo and behold, laddy, it turned out I was always a pirate at heart, I just didn't know it yet.

But that's not the end of the story, oh no. Ye see, one day, I came across a mythical Zoan fruit, the Saru Saru no Mi, Model: King Kong. I ate it, and everything changed. Wherever I went, monkeys and apes started to worship me. Except for human kind, I had earned the loyalty of all other apes just by eating the fruit. It was then that I decided to create a crew made up entirely of apes.

I spent a long time visiting many islands and recruiting monkeys. Only the cream of the crop monkeys were hired, of course. By the time I had finished, I had a gorilla group, a humandrill squad, a baboon group, a chimpanzee team, and so on and so forth. I eventually gained thousands of followers. They called us the hoard. Wherever we went, we pillaged, robbed, stole, and even killed. But I steered us usually out of the path of the innocents and only the troublemakers were targeted.

The apes were fast learners. They followed me commands to the T. Especially the humandrills. They imitated the humans wherever they saw and were the most powerful squad in me crew. They even started to talk. It was an incredible sight to see.

I clashed a lot with other pirates and the marines. Eventually, I caused chaos in the New World too. But no one could beat me. Not with my fleet of monkeys by me side at least. And like this, life went on.

But one day, me first mate came to me and told me that there was a mutiny forming on board. Apparently, the humandrills had not only learned the useful habits of humans but also the bad ones. They thought I wasn't apish enough for them. Apparently, my fruit didn't make me a real king of the Kongs. It was really a crazy reason for the mutiny. I guess that's what I get for expecting better from apes. But I decided I had adventured enough and caused enough trouble everywhere already. So I decided to retire and instructed me first mate to find out what their plan was.

From him, I learned that the mutiny was going to take place in about six months and that the plan was to maroon me on this specific island where no ships passed. So my elaborate plan started.

I had collected all the resources and goods that I'd need to live out me days here in luxury and secretly stashed them at this place. After six long months, I'd finished everything I needed to do before the inevitable day finally arrived. The day when the mutiny took place, and I was stranded here with nothin' but a single shot in me pistol. A mercy for me they said.

It was a sad but proud moment, ye know. Me crew, who were monkeys fer heaven's sake, had matured to this level. I had trained 'em well. And so, I made me home on this island and finished me life on me own terms. A pirate's life may be full of danger, but it's also full of adventure and freedom. And that's all I ever wanted.

Now, if ye'll excuse me, I've got a bottle of rum to finish and a sunset to watch. Farewell, and may the winds always be at your back.
