Chapter 6 - Zoro Declined But Luffy Agreed, What?!

Hello peps, forgive me for not changing things from the canon just yet, I'll begin doing that in a few chapter, or maybe in this one. I haven't done so previously because I don't think Deku's very much needed at the marine base just yet, so I made it so he learn how to navigate and do some research instead.

Anyways, that's all I have to say, hope y'all are enjoying the story so far and might enjoy this chapter as well.

『 Omniscient POV 』

"Thi-this is bad!!"

"Who is he!?"

"He dared to hit the Captain's son?! Captain Morgan won't forgive him!!"

"He's doomed!!"

Panic and fear quickly spread through the civilians that witnessed what had just happened.

Although most are afraid, there are also some people who were quite pleased by the sight of the blonde bastard's suffering.

The fear of facing Morgan's wrath, however, was making it hard for them to show their happiness.

"Luffy-san!! Please, calm yourself!!! They're the Marines!!"

"I don't care! A bastard is still a bastard!"

Even Coby was not spared by the fear that everyone was feeling.

But of course, even when someone were to beg to him, Luffy would not just suddenly stop doing what he set on accomplishing once he started.

"Yo-you dare to hit me?! My dad hasn't even hit me once!!"

Yelled out the bastard, once he somewhat recovered as he held the area where he was punched at.

"Don't you know that I am the Marine Captain Morgan's son!! I'll tell him about this!!"

Tears were starting to gather at his eyes as he do so, and when he noticed that, he yelled out once again.

"Why don't you fight us yourself instead?"

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, Midoriya suddenly stepped forward and said a short sentence that held a lot of anger behind them.

"Mi-midoriya, not you too!!"

His words not only shocked Coby, but also the civilians that was watching at the sidelines.

Luffy, on the other hand, is still as heated as earlier even when he was still being held by Coby.

But because of Midoriya's words, Luffy's respect on him grew consequently.

Meanwhile, as the shock because of Midoriya's words were spreading, the two marines that came with the bastard began to help him stand up.

"You two will regret humiliating me!! You'll get a death sentence for it! And my dad will be the one who executes you two!!"

Although the blonde bastard had already began to walk away from Luffy and Midoriya, his words still did not end.

"It's meaningless to hit people like him."

"DAMN YOU!!"

Luffy said to Coby, before they once again heard a shout from the bastard.

"He ran away."

"That, he did."

Commented Coby and that response was what he received from Midoriya.

"Onii-chan, you're so cool! Just when I was getting scared, you punched him without any fear!"

When things had finally calmed down, the girl who was with them exclaimed with genuine awe and joy.

"You were scared? I should have hit him a couple more times!"

"Luffy-san!!"

"Ri... Rika!!"

But just when Luffy and the children's discussion were about to continue, Midoriya heard a shout of worry from his back.

Turning around to look at its source, he found a middle age woman who looked like an onlder version of the girl with them.

"Come here quickly!"

She once again shouted when she saw that she got the attention of the girl named Rika.

While running towards the woman, Rika's face was once again filled with worry.

"Didn't I said that you shouldn't talk to strangers!! Even more so to the people who would go against Captain Morgan's name! You will also be executed if you were mistaken as their one of their friends!"

"But mom, they're good people... just like Zoro!"

And shortly after Rika reached the woman, her ears were bomb with scolding.

'So that was Rika's mom.'

Midoriya thought to himself when he unintentionally heard their conversation.

"Don't be silly! Did you snuck up to the execution site again?!

"No! No, I didn't!"

"Comeback into the house quickly!!"

Hearing that, Rika gave Luffy a sad look; as she hesitated following her mother's words.

"Bye bye!"

Luffy, on the other hand, just waves have at her with a smile as he watches her mom and herself walking away from them.

"Looks like we're in big trouble!! If Captain Morgan gets mad, he might send the Marines after us!!"

After Rika and her mom disappeared from their eyes, Coby's panic made its appearance once again.

"If that's the case, what do you wanna do now, Luffy?"

Midoriya, on the other hand, was conflicted about the way he acted.

Although his body was screaming to do the same thing that Luffy did way earlier before the later even did so, Midoriya chose not to do so.

「 "We might be needing a new All Might, but we very much needed less careless people like him! Remember this very well, brat! If all you're going to do is throw yourself in the danger's face then, forget saving the civilians, just focus on saving yourself first!!" 」

As he thought of his previous choice of action, Midoriya suddenly remembered the words of a certain burning hero.

'Endeavor...'

「 "Midoriya... although I hate to admit it, I agree with him with this one. You must learn the right moment to fight your opponent and when to run away. Don't just join every fight that happens, you're well-being should always be your top priority because you're the only who can face All for One... always remember that." 」

Endeavor's words were then followed by his school teacher's words.

The teacher who was doing his best despite missing a couple of limbs, to help the still active heroes fight against the villains running amok.

'What should I do... sensei?'

"We'll deal with it when the time comes! For now, I'm gonna go have a talk with Zoro. Wanna come with me, Izuku?"

What pulled Midoriya out of his thinking was Luffy's response to his question, which the former person was thankful for.

"Sure, I'd like to meet our new nakama after all."

Somehow already knowing that Luffy had decided that Zoro was now a member of their pirate crew, Midoriya released a smirk as he replied to his captain.

'He's as honest as a man can possibly be... to the point that it's scary.'

Thought Midoriya as he began to follow Luffy, with Coby rumbling about this being a bad idea at his back.

『 Meanwhile 』

At the Marines base, inside of a certain room of the main building, a man can be seen sitting on a extravagant chair.

And because he's currently facing the huge window place behind his table, the man's back was being covered with shadow.

A sight which was quite intimidating to the poor marine behind him.

"I am... Great!"

"Yes! Because you are the Captain, Captain Morgan!!"

The man who turned out to be Morgan, the Captain of this Marines base, suddenly spoke with his deep voice as he gazed outside of his window.

And as if on cue, the marine behind him also suddenly began licking his boots.

"Yes, that's right... but lately, the offerings for the development of our base seems to be... decreasing?"

"Ah! That..."

Though, it seems that no matter how much the marine that is in a salute position boot licked Morgan, the later would still push forward the topic that the former person was avoiding to talk about.

"About the money for the offering... the citizens have their financial problems too..."

And although he hesitated to do so, the marine still chose to give an explanation to the fearsome man before him.

"It's not a matter of financial problems... it's because they don't respect me anymore!!"

After a short moment of reconsideration, Morgan suddenly yelled out his doubts.

*Bam!*

"Dad!"

Thankfully, before this matter could be discussed furthermore, a certain blonde bastard entered Morgan's office room.

"What's the matter, Helmeppo?"

"I want to kill a certain someone!!"

And when the bastard, named Helmeppo, was asked that question; he answered his father with an angered expression.

『 On The Other Side 』

As Helmeppo told to his father what had happened to him, Luffy, Midoriya, and Coby had also reached the execution ground.

"Yo!"

Leaving behind Coby close to the fences, Luffy and Midoriya leisurely walked towards the tied green haired man that has a black bandana wrapped on his head.

"It's you again?"

Said Zoro, before his eyes were put towards Midoriya.

"No matter how many you bring with you, I won't change my answer; I don't wanna be a pirate!"

And after a short moment of silent from him, Zoro suddenly exclaimed those words.

"I'm Luffy. If I let you free, then you're gonna join our crew, okay?!"

"I've already told you multiple times, NO!!"

Though, as if to ignore Zoro's words, Luffy still went ahead and tried to recruit the pirate hunter to his pirate crew.

"I have things I need to do, besides gonna be a bad guy like a pirate."

Seeing that the teen before him would not give up on recruiting him, Zoro once again decided to reason with him.

"I don't know if you've noticed but almost everyone here already thinks that you're a bad guy."

This time, it is not Luffy who gave an answer but instead, Midoriya did.

"I don't care about what they think about me! I haven't done anything that I regretted in the past and it will be the same for the future!! That's why, I won't become a pirate!!!"

When he heard those words, Midoriya's eyes almost popped out of their sockets because of shock.

And along that shock, the young hero also felt the strong determination of the person in front of him to reach the goal that he had set to achieve.

'I see... compared to mine, his determination are way above the roof... just like Luffy.'

The young hero thought to himself as he clenched his fists.

"Captain... I like his personality, let's do whatever it takes to make sure he sails with us when we leave this island."

"Of course! He already joined us after all, Shishishishi!!"

"Don't decide for yourselves!!"

After calming down, Midoriya released a huge smile and told his honest opinion about Zoro.

Which, of course, Luffy also agreed to and thus, the unwilling pirate hunter had suddenly became a pirate... or not.

"Hey, I heard you use katanas, is that right?"

Silence shortly followed after Zoro's rebuttal at their words before Luffy once again started their conversation.

"Well if I'm not being tied right now, then there's no need to doubt wether I could use a katana or not."

After a short while, Luffy's questions came out of his mouth one after another.

"Where is your katana then?"

"That bastard kid took it. It's something that I treasure the most... other than my life!"

And of course, Zoro was left no choice but to answer those questions even though each words that left his mouth is taking quite the amount of strength from him.

After all, the pirate hunter had an inkling feeling that answering the pirate in front of his was a better choice than not to at all.

"Oh! A treasure, huh? It must be something great!"

"Luffy, please don't get greedy now."

"Huh? What do you mean greedy? I'm just excited to see what kind of katana it is to be considered a treasure by Zoro right here."

"You bastards knows that I could hear you two clearly, right?"

Short banters like that would randomly appear during their conversation, even though they are in the middle of the enemy's base.

"Anyway, I guess I'll have to look for that katana then?"

Few seconds after they finished saying some more nonsense to each other, Midoriya finally asked Luffy their next course of action.

"Of course, I'll leave that thing to you!"

"What?! Oi, wait you bastard!!"

"Aye aye Captain!"

Ignoring the objection of the tied up man, Midoriya finally decided to do what he is tasked to do.

"Is he planning on sneaking into the base? What a fool..."

"Don't worry about him, he's strong... even I will have a hard time against him."

Hearing Zoro's words, Luffy revealed that fact to him.

Which earned him a questionable gaze from the infamous pirate hunter.

『 Meanwhile 』

"A'right dats the right position!!"

"Lift the statue!!"

On top of the Marine base's main building, several people can be seen working together to set up the statue statue of a certain person.

This statue was made of pure bronze and is reaching the height of 5 meters.

Not far from those people were a man who wears a coat designed for Marines with the rank of a Captain.

That's right, this man is Captain Morgan.

The highest ranking officer of this marine base as well as the father of the blonde bastard that Luffy punched.

Morgan is a notably tall, muscular man with tanned skin, blonde hair, a well-defined face, and a steel jaw etched with the word Möwe (German for "seagull").

As his epithet suggests, Axe Arm Morgan, his right hand has been replaced with a huge steel axe, the handle of which is not only bolted through the bones of his forearm, but sticks out where his elbow should be.

Currently, this humongous man is sitting on a comfortable coach; listening to his son's annoying voice as the bastard complained about him not doing anything to the random mobs that apparently humiliated him.

"Even you haven't hit me before but those bastard did it!!"

"!!"

On the other hand, although his father seemed to be listening to his continuous yapping, Helmeppo knew thar the truth was far from that.

As he can see that his father was fully focused on watching at how his men tries to set up his costum-made statue.

But then, Helmeppo's last sentence finally brought him the attention of his father that he so much desired.

"Do you know why I never hit you?"

However, instead of answering his words, his father asked him a question instead.

"... Yes! Because I am your-"

"Yes, because you are..."

Although confused by his father's sudden question, Helmeppo still tried to answer it; but Morgan seems to have a different plan because he suddenly cut his own son's words, as he began to answer his own question.

"... You are a bastard son that is not worth hitting!!"

"Argh!!"

Morgan yelled out as he sent his own son several meters away from his original position with a punch of his own.

"Why do I have to clean up your mess, huh? You can do many things with my name, but I only punish those people who opposse me!!"

Scold the Marine Captain to his son as he stood up and walked towards him.

And once he determined that his son is only an arm's reach away from him, Morgan stopped walking before he crunched down and pulled his bastard toward his face.

"Don't misunderstand, you are not the great one here!! It's your father!! Me!!!"
