CHAPTER 4: ORANGE TOWN

The Strawhats were sailing across the vast ocean and that too with no destination in mind.

"So where to next?" Zoro asked, his gaze fixed on the horizon.

"The next island is Orange town. So, we should stop there and restock since Luffy ate all our supplies. What do you say Luffy?" Alex suggested.

"Sure, it sounds fun and am hungry again." Luffy excitedly agreed.

As they were talking Luffy saw a bird flying. So, he shot out of the boat to catch it.

"Ehh!!!Luffy!!!" "Wait Luffy!!!" Zoro and Alex exclaimed. The bird bit Luffy and flew away.

"Damn what just happened?" Zoro was flabbergasted. "Haha, that's our captain for you. Come on, let's sail faster and catch up to him." Alex laughed knowing Luffy will be alright due to his plot armour. [LOL]

As they were sailing, they saw 3 guys stranded on a log and begging us to let them on. They look like pirates, but Zoro saw no problem as they helped them on. They immediately tried to threaten the 2 of them as they climbed the boat saying they're from Buggy pirates but became obedient as Zoro beat them up. So, they were tasked to row the boat faster to reach Orange town ASAP.

Finally, they reached Orange town. The town seemed normal but suddenly a huge explosion occurred and blew half of the town.

"What the hell was that!" Zoro was shocked. "Damn it let's go Zoro I have a feeling Luffy is involved." Alex worriedly stated. Both of them ran towards the place where the explosion was fired, and they saw a lot of pirates and a few of them surrounding an orange haired girl. They also saw their captain imprisoned in a cage. The pirates attacked Nami but just as their attack was going to harm her Alex sweeped in and kicked them away."Are you alright young miss?"

"Oh yes, Thank you. Wait, it's you!" Nami was shocked to see Alex again, the man that has been on her mind these days. She couldn't help but be mesmerised seeing him up close.

"Hey why don't you pick on someone your size" Alex declared to the Buggy pirates; Zoro also came beating the pirates near Luffy's cage. "WOW! Alex, Zoro, you guys came." Luffy happily stated.

"Yeah, and why did you fly away and end up imprisoned?" Zoro grumbled.

"Don't worry Luffy, we'll get you out. So just wait for a bit." Alex reassured.

"Who the hell are you guys? And do you think you can just escape when you attacked my men" Buggy furiously stated.

"Who are you to tell us what we can do, you red nose bastard." Alex taunted.

"What did you call me!!! You lot move away I will kill this bastard." Buggy declared and attacked Alex. Alex, knowing everything about Buggy's fighting style from canon, was not worried. So, he also lunged forward dodging Buggy attacks and punching him in the face, throwing buggy across the area. ""CAPTAIN BUGGY!!!"" his crewmate exclaimed seeing him fall. Buggy stayed there and said, "I'm fine I was just surprised" Buggy was surprised with the speed and force behind that punch, but he could withstand it as how couldn't he, he was Captain Buggy! A pirate with a bounty of 15 million Berries. He also sneakily planned his attack as with his Bara Bara no mi he separated his hands and tried to secretly stab Alex in the back but as he was about to stab Alex, but Zoro came and deflected the knives.

"Ehhh! How!!!" Buggy was shocked. "Heh! Buggy do you think I won't know about your devil fruit. You tried to trick me, but I know all about your scheme, so I ask Zoro to look out for it" Alex smugly admitted. Buggy was shocked to know that Alex knew about his devil fruit abilities but was also flattered thinking he's a famous pirate now, so people know about him more. "Hehe~ so what if you know. You can't do anything about it. Guys get ready to fire the 'Buggy Balls'." The pirates lit up the cannon which was pointed at our MC and his mates to fire at them, but Alex lifted the cannon and turned it towards the Buggy pirates.

"Guys let's move out. Zoro lift Luffy with you." Alex scooped up Nami which caused her to shriek and jump and ran, Zoro also came following. The buggy pirates were blown away by the Buggy ball, but Buggy was unharmed thanks to taking cover with his men as a meatshield.

Escaping into the empty town, the four of them met a dog and an old man. He was introduced to them as Boodle, he was the mayor of this town, and the dog was Chouchou. The mayor told the story of the town and how Buggy came and destroyed everything and also about Chouchou and his store.

Nami thanked Alex for saving her. "Thank you for saving me back there." "Hehe no worries and it's good to see you again." Alex smiled softly which made Nami blush.

Looking at them the mayor was reminded of his youth. [lol] 

And unexpectedly Chouchou was sticking close to Alex as it seems he took a liking to him, which was shocking to Mr.Boodle as Chouchou was unfriendly to strangers.

Luffy was still imprisoned, and Nami finally remembered she had the key, so Luffy was finally free. There was no drama similar to canon where Chouchou ate the key since he was with Alex. Luffy also introduced Nami as their navigator which she tried to deny but was ignored.

Alex welcomed Nami warmly which calmed her aggitations.

Just then they heard a loud sound of something being destroyed and Chouchou suddenly sprinted towards that direction. They all went after him and saw Mohji and Richie of Buggy pirates destroying the pet store of Chouchou. The dog was devastated and tried to fight them, but Alex stopped him indicating that he will take care of it. Which moved Chouchou.

"Luffy leave this to me. I'll take care of it." Alex stated firmly. "Sure, break a leg."

"Wait, are you sure there's a Lion too." Nami was worried. But Luffy reassured her saying Alex was strong and won't lose to them.

Alex walked towards Mohji and Richie. "Oh! You must be one of those pests that attack our crew. Let me teach you a lesson as the right-hand man of the Buggy pirates. Richie go attack him." Richie jumps to attack Alex, but he calmly avoids the attack and delivers a right hook towards Richie. That surprised the lion and couldn't dodge the attack on time which managed to hurt it badly and sent it crashing towards a nearby house. "RICHIE!" Mohji was stunned seeing his strength. "You piece of sh*ts think you're the top when you're just playing pirates in the weakest sea and terrorising innocents. Even though I'm a pirate, I can't help comparing these people to my kingdom's citizens." Alex was angry but he didn't know why, was it because of this previous body's emotion or his earthly morals. But no matter what he's gonna destroy the Buggy pirates. He sped towards Mohji who wasn't able to react and was punched in the gut and then kicked which sent him towards the same place Richie crashed and was rendered unconscious.

Everyone came to celebrate his win with Chouchou happily barking which sounded like a thanks to him as it seems like he could slightly understand him.

"Now guys let's go destroy the Buggy pirates!"
