5 "Store"

Yamamoto walked at a snail's pace to the Tree of Knowledge where the archaeologists were.

When he finally reached the door, he slowly tapped twice to be opened.

Knock, knock.

"W-who is it...?" Clover's voice was heard behind the door.

"It's me old man open up"

"Grandpa!" Hocha shouted as she opened the door and hugged Yamamoto with tears in his eyes.

Yamamoto by Hocha's sudden strong hug almost lost his balance but used all his little strength not to be embarrassed in front of everyone.

"It's okay... we're safe now" Yamamoto said as he put his hand on Hocha's head to calm her down.

Clover along with the other archaeologists and little Robin came out of the Tree of Knowledge and looked at Yamamoto with strange faces.

"What's wrong, do I have something on my face?" Yamamoto asked.

"No... but since when were you so strong old man?" asked Clover scratching his beard.

"You know I have the Mera Mera, do you think I'm going to waste it all my life while only studying poneglyphs?" asked Yamamoto with a raised eyebrow.

The original body had indeed wasted it, but this was the only excuse he could come up with at the time, so he could only hope they would believe it.

"If you put it that way" Clover said as he nodded a little doubtfully and put the subject aside.

When Hocha finally regained her composure she asked:

"So what shall we do now?"

They all looked towards Yamamoto, as with the strength he showed they can only rely on him to survive the persecution of the World Government.

"We can't stay here, it's only a matter of time before those World Government dogs come back" Yamamoto answered somewhat angrily.

Almost all his life, he was watching One Piece and always hate the World Government, but living it in the flesh makes him hate them more.

"We can't leave all our research here, they will destroy it if we leave it" Roche said stubbornly to leave the research of his life.

The other archaeologists nodded agreeing with Roche.

*These guys are stubborn...* Yamamoto thought a little tired.

"All right, take all the most important books and documents to the ship in the harbor, we have to be quick," said Yamamoto after a few seconds.

The archaeologists cheerfully cheered that they could save their research and quickly started moving to transport everything to the ship.

"A ship? I thought the last boat was the escape boat the villagers used" Olvia said.

"Yes, so I had to steal a boat from the Marines" Yamamoto replied as if it was no big deal.

"Stealing isn't bad?" Asked little Robin.

*Mm I guess she's still a kid* Yamamoto thought.

"If they attack your island to exterminate everyone, I don't think it's too bad to steal a ship from those people" Yamamoto replied.

Robin thought a bit about Yamamoto's answer and then nodded agreeing with the old man.

Yamamoto looked and counted that together with him there were 11 people, he and Clover are elderly, and Robin is an 8-year-old girl so they would not be of help to transport the books, so there are only 8 people left working.

So he deduced that it would take a few hours to transport all the books and documents to the ship. Besides, some archaeologists must go to the village for supplies, since they can't leave without having any food.

*Wait... what about that person?* Yamamoto thought remembering something.

"Hey Robin" Yamamoto called out to the Robin.

"Mm, What's?" asked Robin as she looked up at Yamamoto.

"Where's your giant friend?" Yamamoto asked.

Yamamoto remembered the giant who helped Robin escape from the island and was the same one who let Olvia escape to return to the island.

"How do you know about the giant Saul?" Robin asked in surprise.

"What, that vice admiral came here?" asked Olvia who overheard the conversation while carrying several books.

"Olvia go with Robin to look for him, he's going to be a great help to escape" Yamamoto said without further explanation.

Olvia and Robin nodded, while Robin led the way as she knew where Saul was.

Yamamoto sighed a little calmer, as Saul was a giant and a vice admiral, so he would be of great help to defend them until he became powerful enough to defend himself and not rely on the system cards.

Besides, he is almost sure that he will help them since he betrayed the navy and is Robin's friend.

While waiting for Saul's arrival, he decided to open the status panel and see his rewards and use the skill points he got.

*That's good progress* Yamamoto thought as he glanced at his stats.

His devil fruit had gone up 8 points just from the battle he had which was a good thing, on the other hand, the biggest gain was unlocking the Hohō and Hakuda, though he didn't even know if his current body could handle the physical burden of performing either of these two styles.

The Hohō Is one of the four fighting styles of the Shinigami and refers to footwork, the Shunpo he used in his previous fight is a technique that comes from this style.

He first decided to allocate 2 points in strength, 4 in defense 5 in speed and 6 in endurance, spending 17 points in total to bring all stats to 10, leaving him with a balance of 6 skill points.

When he added all the skill points he felt a new strength in his body, he felt he had an incredible breakthrough, even though he only has the strength of a normal marine or pirate.

When he first raised 2 points in physical strength he noticed that this statistic was his physical power, that is to say, that now he could lift more weight and would have a greater power in his blows than before. In the case of defense, he noticed how his bones became more durable, meaning that the higher his defense, the more blows his body could withstand. The speed, by increasing by 5 points, made him feel much lighter than before and he knew that he was now much faster than before. And finally, in stamina, he felt how he now had much more endurance than before and how his cardio increased visibly.

*What an incredible change* Yamamoto thought as he inspected his body, he knew that each skill point was no small thing, after all, he had to kill 3 vice admirals and the leader of CP9 to get them. He knew right away that achieving such a breakthrough with training would take time and he still had 6 points left.

He did not increase his mastery with his devil fruit, as he felt it was useless because there was 3 levels minimum, and for each level, it seemed that you need more points than the previous one, so through skill points it would take forever, the only way was through training.

He would have to kill all the vice-admirals of the marine and even then he would not be able to complete even the beginner level.

As for the spiritual power he was thinking of adding the remaining 6 points to this statistic since it would be a great advantage to be able to use spiritual energy, but the system did not allow it, warning him that first he had to unlock it on his own, *Tsch I had to have used some technique with spiritual power to see if I could unlock it* He thought this because maybe if he used for longer the spiritual power in his battle, he would have gained some other skill like the Kidō or some point in the spiritual power.

He had used spiritual power, to fly in the air, but apparently, it was not enough to gain a skill point. He decided to spend 3 on Physical Strength, instantly noticing how his muscles got stronger, and the last 3 points he spent on Defense, his bones got stronger being now much more durable than before.

He reached a progress of 8.2%, although it was not abysmal progress, since to achieve this he had to kill 3 vice-admirals and the head of CP9, it was still good progress. He went from a weak old man to an average man who can take on a normal marine or pirate without a problem.

*This must be the strength Yamamoto must have had when he was a little boy...* He thought in amazement at the strength of Bleach's Yamamoto, even though he lived thousands of years to achieve such a monstrous level.

*System opens the shop* Yamamoto mentally ordered.

The pale blue interface of the system directed him to the store, he could see that in the store tab, there were 3 categories which were: Items, Devil Fruits, and Techniques. The Devil Fruits category was what caught his attention the most, it was too broken to be able to buy devil fruits without having to search for them.

He could create an army of devil fruit consumers, he quickly went there, and what he saw made him lose all his hopes of having his army of devil fruit consumers.

In this category there was only one devil fruit and its price in merit points was too high.

*3,000 merit points!? I'd rather go find him on my own* Yamamoto thought with a frown.

He had completed a mission at the cost of his life and thanks to the 50% strength card of the real Yamamoto, he only got 2300 merit points, plus he had to face a buster call one of the strongest military assets in the navy.

Also, notice the name of the Fruit which was goe goe no mi, I had no idea what kind of power such a fruit had.

*Hey system why is there only one fruit and why is it so expensive?* Yamamoto asked with some doubt as he didn't know if the system would answer him.

"..."

Time passed and he got no answer from the system so he sighed, and moved on to the techniques category. What he saw in this category pleasantly surprised him, he saw manuals of techniques from both the bleach world and the One Piece world, there were manuals of Hakuda techniques, Haki, and even the 6 styles of the marine.

Although Bleach's Yamamoto was a great connoisseur of the 4 fighting styles of the Shinigami, there were techniques of other iconic Bleach characters that he did not know. Their prices were quite varied, some were only worth a few hundred merit points, and others were worth thousands of points or more.

*Not bad, but my body is still not strong enough to use techniques like Hakuda or Shunpo so I'll leave it for later," thought Yamamoto.

Finally, he went to the articles category which was the most variable of all, there were life cards which relieved him quite a lot since he wouldn't depend solely on system quests to extend his life, its price was 500 merit points something affordable, he also saw an encyclopedia of devil fruits a very useful book, when he saw the price of this book his chin almost fell to the ground. Its price was 3000 merit points!

*What kind of scam is this...? It comes out just like that devil fruit* Yamamoto thought in disbelief at the price of this expensive book.

He had a faint recollection that in the One Piece world, there was some similar book, although they never showed it in detail, but I conclude that a system article must be much more complete and accurate.

As he was looking at the articles, lost in thought, he hears loud footsteps and a voice calling out to him.

"Yamamoto-sensei do you hear me?" Olvia said in a respectful tone.

Yamamoto closed the system window and noticed that next to Olvia and Robin, stood a giant with long orange hair. This giant was wearing a black shirt and brown pants, a little worn. When he saw him, he knew immediately that he was Jaguar D. Saul, the giant who helped Olvia escape and befriended Robin.
