A DEVIL FRUIT THAT BRINGS HOPE

While walking with father I took in the sights of the beautiful flowers and vibrant hues that I have never seen before in my short life and with seeing the unnatural beauty of the garden it became eternally engraved into my mind as though for some reason that defies even myself of its unknown importance.

And on this walk I truly understood how large this chamber that I was in and to sate my curiosity just to pass the time while on this silent walk I expanded my awareness of the garden but as I tried to expand my perception beyond just five simple meters but then a sudden backlash occurred as though someone or something was trying to block my observation Haki a invisible wave of energy flew through my being.

*UGGHH*

As the backlash reached my being an excruciating sense of pain flowed through my body as though my skin was being melted off by the hottest of flames or by the touch of the most freezing of ice. And from this unrelenting pain I fell onto one knee trying my utmost hardest to not make a fool of myself by falling unconscious by my unknown attacker but as just the right moment before the world went black some sort of white tendrils attached themselves to my body and emitted a yellow glow that soon engulfed my body.

And with this sudden blinding of light that engulfed my being the pain suddenly began to vanish and within a span of less than ten seconds all of the pain disappeared as if it was just a illusion created by my own mind. Now since the pain vanished, I tried to lift my own body up, but a way of fatigue come over me but to by surprise an arm grabbed my shoulder and pulled me up.

"Haa it seems as though you have your uncles sense of childish curiosity that he kept even to his death"

As the sentence entered my ear I by brain froze since it only took me a moment to realize that it was father that lifted me up the king of the world, my father and my creator all in one and a sense of relief filled my chest but when this feeling came I truly had to clue how to understand it and why I was feeling so joyful just to me touched by him for the first time since my birth.

"Um father by uncle do you mean Joy boy the man that you talked about in those ancient textbooks that you gave to me to help guide my along to completing you plan of ridding the world of evil" Lucious said with a quiet voice.

And with a approving tone father replied with " Yes my son he is who I am referring to and if you want to know more you will come to find that knowledge in time for through this journey that you will set upon will fill you with the knowledge of the past and of the future that is yet to come".

"And from that knowledge you can truly be the instrument that I will need you to be for without you my plan will fail and with the flickering light of Joyboy once again returning you will have to be the tool that will silence that light from burning any brighter than it already is".

And with all of father's words entering into my mind more question kept on forming and the urge to ask him on the questions kept on filling into my mind until I could not hold my thoughts no more.

"Father please tell me of the past all of these things that you are saying make no sense I have read the books in the grand library of Mary Geoise of the formation of the WG and all that has happened from them till know but I have found nothing on the past and only by ready the manuscripts that you have given have I learn some things but not much".

"Like who are you really and where did you come from and who was Joyboy or what happed during the void century or what happened to the ancient weapons of old that were around during you time and what is the will of D and its clans history or why did you chose a pirate to create me from her genes".

As Lucious continued his voice became more rough and tears began to trickle from his eyes

"So please father give me answer on to these questions so that I may serve you more for without your plan I am hollow just an empty shell formed in a laboratory by your will with no hopes or dreams of my own from being trapped in a box unable to see the world or experience anything SO PLEAS TELL ME"!

As the sound drew near I lifted my head to see the hand of father on my head and with gentle words he said "Worry not my son you more than useful enough already and in time you will come to know more but I think that it would be best for you to answer your own question by exploring the world gathering the hopeful, the foolish and undeserving under your flag so that when I am in need of you you will be prepared".

"So worry not and follow the orders of the elders for the time being they may try and bite but they are loyal enough to their own power and wants before becoming so foolish as to face me for the time being but enough now with that sad face of yours since you are reminding me of his face during more simpler times that are long since passed".

And as father finishes talking, he reaches into his garb and pulls of a strange fruit in the shape of an apple with the color of more darker hue of crimson and it has circular black lines starting at the center that expands outwards with ever increasing distance from the core.

"This devil fruit it was once used by your grandfather to unite half of the known world under his flag and with this you will have the power to silence the light of Joyboy for forever bring with peace and prosperity unknown to the world both past and present".

And with the fruit in fathers hands, he gives it to me and with no point in thinking about what may come after eating the fruit I ate it in one big bite in the hopes of finding my own purpose. And with the consumption of the fruit, I found being blinded by a light and soon finding myself in my room down in Lucas's Royal Paw district.
