Most Evil cultivators just end up dying from the hunger, the hunger isn't just a metaphor, they are literally starving for more celestial energy and unless they get more they will die from starvation]

James was deep in thought, he was thinking of what to do, the best one is probably celestial, but he had some thought about the other 2, evil is already thrown away of course, he won't let himself fall into that death trap.

Body and Spiritual, Body will be important to him since a lot of devil fruits use stamina to activate while some will need a strong body, like Gomu Gomu no Mi, or the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, without having a strong body, it will be almost useless.

As for spiritual, it was mostly a guess, but if it was right, it will be very important too.

"System, will spiritual cultivation strengthen haki?"

Shouted James with glee, he has a logia type fruit and it isn't the one piece world, so water doesn't work on him and there is no haki in this world, though he is forgetting one thing, he is currently in a world of cultivation, where people control an energy that can damage spirits and control elements that can be the weakness of a devil fruit, like how magma beat Ace's fire or how Luffy was able to tank lightning attacks.

Suddenly a green fruit with a weird shape and black lines appeared in the air in front of James.

"Numa Numa no Mi?"

James couldn't remember what this fruit is, and being told the name in Japanese really didn't help him, he does remember some of the Japanese names, but he mostly remembers the English ones.

"What's the fruit's name in English?"

[The Swamp Swamp fruit]

"Hmm"

Massaging his chin, James tried to remember who used it and when.

"Oh, fishmen island arc, that annoying guy!"

He finally remembered where it was from and he wasn't too happy, it wasn't really the fruit itself, he just really didn't like the character that used this fruit.

The fruit itself is a good one from what he remembers, it pretty much gives James an inventory in his body that can store both living and nonliving things without damaging them.

It has many uses, although it isn't very powerful in combat like a lot of other logia, it is a very useful fruit that James can see using for a very long time.

But the thought of having the same fruit as that disgusting guy is a bit uncomfortable, still, he won't let that stop him from eating the fruit.

"Here we go"

James brought the fruit to his mouth and took a bite, expecting to feel like puking, but to his surprise it tasted like a sweet apple.

Feeling his surprise the system said.

[My creator made it so all the devil fruits will taste good, after all you will probably eat a lot of them]

'Thank you creator guy!'

After that James kept eating the fruit until it was all finished, James knew that he just needs a single bite, but he also knew that he can't be too careful, plus the fruit tasted really good.

James asked while swallowing his last bite.

As for the spiritual level, it is connected to the soul, your current soul is half earthling and half from the world of one piece, the soul of a earthling is from a higher dimension, since that is the case, your soul is stronger than the people of this world, even on the same spiritual level and you will be able to train it faster, that is why you started with level 3 spiritual level, as for the one piece part, my creator fused your soul with a soul of one piece, you do not have to worry, that soul is artificial, the reason for the fusion is so you can use haki, haki is a power that is limited to people from the one piece world, however with you having both the body and soul of a person from the one piece world will allow you to use haki now even outside of it]

High celestial, at this stage a person starts using an energy called cosmic energy, there are levels above, but there is no need for them yet.

As for evil cultivators, it's the same just with evil at the start, they weren't very creative with that one.

And lastly, spiritual cultivation, spiritual cultivation is different than the others since there aren't really stages to it since it can go up infinitely, so instead of stages there are levels, level 1 to level infinite, however, in the divine continent it is only known to go up to 100, and every 10 levels there is a jump, so although a level 8 is close to the power of 9, a level 10 is much stronger than a 9.
