6 Orange Town.

(In the middle of the ocean)

"Eh, I'm hungry." Luffy.

"When will we reach land?" Zoro.

"We should be quite close to Orange Town as long as we don't stray from the path." Kaizo.

"Eh, you sure know about sailing." Luffy.

"Isn't it weird that you, aiming to become the Pirate King, doesn't know how to navigate?" Zoro.

"That's how I decided to do this. By the way, aren't you a pirate hunter? You should know how to navigate." Luffy.

"I…went to find someone in this vast sea, I got lost and couldn't return to my village so, to survive I began to hunt some pirates to get some money." Zoro.

"What? You were just lost." Luffy.

"Don't say it like that!" Zoro.

Zoro gets mad and stomps on the boat so hard that it began to shake. Luffy loses his Straw hat and it begins to be taken by the wind but Kaizo generates a yellow rope and catches it.

"Oh, thank you Kaizo!" Luffy.

"No worries, that Straw hat seemed to be important to you." Kaizo.

"It is, I made a promise with Shanks to give it back to him once I became a true pirate." Luffy.

"Eh? When you say Shanks, you mean the captain of the Red-Haired pirates?" Kaizo.

"Yes." Luffy.

"So that's why he didn't had his signature straw hat, he gave it to you." Kazio.

"You've met Shanks!?" Luffy.

"Yeah, he was the one that gave me a lift to Shells Town in the first place." Kaizo.

"Eh!!??" Luffy.

After sailing for a while, Zoro finally asks Kaizo the important question.

"So, are you finally going to tell us what Haki is?" Zoro.

"Yeah, tell us already." Luffy.

"Ok, ok. Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own inner energy for various purposes. All living beings in the world are capable of learning Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it." Kaizo.

"Like a devil fruit?" Zoro.

"More or less, except that you won't have the sea weakness. Here's an example, Luffy come here." Kaizo.

Luffy began to walk towards Kaizo and he punched him in the face.

"Ouch!!! That hurts!!!" Luffy.

"Hurts? Aren't you supposed to be immune since you're made of rubber?!" Zoro.

"That's one of the benefits of Haki, you are able to damage devil fruit users regardless of their ability." Kaizo.

Both Luffy and Zoro are amazed by the concept of Haki.

"Zoro, you want to become the World's Greatest Swordsman, right?" Kaizo.

"Of course!" Zoro.

"Dracule Mihawk, the man that's in possession of said tittle, can use Haki at an expert lever of proficiency. Ha can cut whole mountains with the swing of his sword, make 100 slashes in less than 5 seconds and cut through anything weaker than a diamond. If you want to surpass said man, you must learn Haki first." Kaizo.

Zoro is in awe after hearing about Mihawk, it's true that he has heard stories from him from time to time but, never stories of that magnitude. Zoro gripped Wado Ichimonji and looked at Kaizo with a determined face.

"How do I learn Haki." Zoro.

"First of all, there are 3 types of Haki, Shanks taught me the principles of them so I'll repeat them to you."

"Kenbunshoku Haki/Observation Haki: It gives the user a sixth sense of the world around them, allowing them to sense the presence and strength of other people, even if they are out of sight or far away. It also grants limited precognitive abilities, allowing the user to sense their opponents' intentions and predict their actions and attacks before they happen."

"Busoshoku Haki/Armament Haki): Allows the user to use their own inner energy as armor to defend against attacks, as well as make their own attacks more potent. It can also be used to bypass Devil Fruit defenses, as I have previously demonstrated. A person can apply the armament to a section of their body, over their entire body, and even imbue it onto their weapons. A coating of Busoshoku will cause the weapons to become extremely durable, in some cases; unbreakable."

"A prime example of this is Mihawk's sword, the 'Eternal Black Blade' is a measurement of how powerful a swordsman was." Kaizo.

Zoro grips his swords again and is filled with a sense of excitement.

"And what about the third?" Luffy asked since he was intrigued by Haki.

"Haoshoku Haki/Conqueror's Haki: It grants the user the ability to unleash their own willpower to overpower the will of others. This results in victims being mentally overwhelmed by the user, with particularly weak-willed foes instantly losing consciousness. Unlike the other types of Haki which can be learned by anyone, Haoshoku is rare ability that only one in several million people are born with the ability to use."

"In the second part of the Grand Line, The New World, Haki is extremely common there. Those that dare to even take a step inside the New World without knowing Haki are practically begging for death." Kaizo.

Luffy and Zoro understand the predicament they're in and ask Kaizo about solutions.

"We should train, to become stronger and so that no one can mess with our friends." Kaizo.

Both Luffy and Zoro nod and prepare themselves to train but Kaizo interrupts them.

"Luffy, can you catch that bird over there? We should eat something." Kaizo.

Luffy sees the bird and immediately launches at it but gets stuck between its beak and is being taken away. Kaizo and Zoro begin to row with all their strengths to try to catch up.

"This is your fault! Why did you tell him to do that?!" Zoro.

"It can't be helped, I'm hungry and so are you so, don't complain!" Kaizo.

Along the way they pass by three Buggy pirates and they try to "take over" the ship but instead are enslaved to row the ship for them.

'Right, if canon follows, Luffy should be shot down by one of Buggy's canons and then he'll meet Nami.' Kaizo.

(At Orange Town)

"AHHHHHH!!!" Luffy.

Luffy falls from the sky and crash lands in between Nami and some goons from Buggy.

"W-what?!" Nami.

"Something fell from the sky." Grunt.

"Few, I'm saved…that was some interesting experience!" Luffy.

Nami smirks and takes advantage of the situation.

"Ha, I'm hungry..." Luffy.

"Boss! You came to save me, right?" Nami.

"Eh? Who are you?" Luffy.

"Sorry, I'll leave the rest in your hands!" Nami flees the scene.

"Hey, she escaped!"

"Who cares, her boss is here."

"As expected, he's protecting his crew."

"Hey, is there anything here to eat?" Luffy.

"Don't mess with us!" One of the grunts punches Luffy and makes his straw hat to fly away.

Luffy, who is quite mad, retaliates by giving him a powerful punch to his face.

"Don't touch my treasure!" Luffy.

Luffy easily defeats the other two grunts with little to no effort. Nami, who was peeking hoping that Luffy defeated them, saw this and thought of an opportunity for her business.

"You're strong, right?! You beat the pirates that easily." Nami.

"Hey, you are…who are you?" Luffy.

"I'm a specialist in stealing from pirates, the name's Nami. Hey, do you want to join with me?" Nami.

"Nope, I don't have any interest in joining with you." Luffy starts to walk away from the scene.

"W-wait!" Nami.

*GRUMBLE*

"I remember now...I'm hungry!" Luffy spoke saddened.

"How about I invite you lunch?" Nami.

"Really?"

"Y-yes."

Nami takes Luffy to an empty house and gives him some food.

*MUNCH*

"Delicious! Do you live here alone?" Luffy.

"I'm not from this town. The townsfolks were too scared of Buggy and escaped." Nami.

"So, did you rob this place?" Luffy.

"How rude! I'm a specialist in stealing from pirates. Don't compare me with a common thief." Nami.

"But a thief is a thief, right?" Luffy.

"My goal is to gain 100 million berries." Nami.

"Hm…what do you plan to do with all that money?" Luffy.

"Secret…If you have a map of the Grand Line, 100 million berries aint a dream." Nami.

"Map? Are you a navigator?" Luffy.

"Heh, there's no one better than me when it comes to navigation." Nami.

"Good! Perfect! Why don't you become our Nakama as our navigator?" Luffy.

"Really?" Nami.

"Yeah! A pirate navigator Nakama!" Luffy.

"No! Are you really a pirate?" Nami.

"Yes, I promised the man that gave me this hat, that I would become a great pirate and would gather Nakama." Luffy.

"What I hate more than anything in this world, are pirates! What I like is money and tangerines!" Nami.

"Oe, be our navigator." Luffy.

"I already said no." Nami.

"Oh well…" Luffy kept eating.

Nami looks out the window and sees some grunts of Buggy that are still tracking her. She gets a mischievous idea and decides to trick Luffy.

"Well, if you accept my conditions, I'll think about it." Nami.

"Really? I'll do anything." Luffy.

Nami ties Luffy up and the idiot doesn't suspect a thing so goes along with her to "meet" Buggy. At this point, Kaizo and Zoro are a couple of clicks away from the island.

"Oi, Zoro. Can you keep these fools at bay?" Kaizo.

"Of course I can, why you ask?" Zoro.

"I'll can get to the island from here so, see ya!" Kaizo jumps out of the ship and Zoro realizes something.

'Didn't he say that he ate a devil fruit?!'

"Oi! Idiot! You're going to drown…" Zoro stopped once he saw something surreal.

The very instant Kaizo touched the surface of the ocean, he jumped again. Zoro couldn't understand how Kaizo did it, allow me (The author) to explain: the very moment Kaizo makes contact with the sea, there's a time frame of 0,5 seconds before the surface envelops his feet and begins to affect his abilities.

Thanks to one of the abilities of a Shinigami: Shunpo, he uses that small frame to step on the water as if he's doing it on the land and jumps again. The only problem of this technique is that Kaizo can only use it 3 times on the water, due to its constant movement, and 10 times on land since it's too energy consuming.

This ends the explanation.

Kaizo arrives at the port after using his 3 steps and is quite tired. He meditates a little to recover some of his stamina and goes to were Luffy is. Upon realizing that he has no idea where he is, he hears the cheers for the Buggy Pirates at the top of a building.

He hides himself from the view of everyone and sees the whole scene were Nami can't kill Luffy and prevents the canon from shooting. The Buggy Pirates are mad and try to attack Nami but, Kaizo appears out of nowhere and stops their attacks with his sword.

"Ganging up on a young miss? It seems that your mothers never teached you some manners." Kaizo then generates a blunt slash made out of spiritual energy and takes down the attackers.

"Thank God! Good thing that you came here on time, get me out of here!" Luffy.

"Oi, captain! How can you get in trouble that easily?" Kaizo.

"Well, I wanted to get a navigator for the crew and…well, it doesn't matter now, does it?" Luffy.

"Haha! Indeed, it does not!" Kaizo.

"Seems that I missed some action." Zoro came after getting some directions from the goons.

"Oh, Zoro, are you perhaps here for my head?" Buggy.

"I stopped being a bounty hunter, now I'm a pirate." Zoro.

"Well, I'm interested in you either way, if I kill you, I will become even more famous." Buggy.

"Don't even bother, you'll die." Zoro.

"Zoro, he ate the Bara-Bara no mi, he can disassemble every part of his body at will. Your cuts will be meaningless since the ability activates passively upon sensing danger."

'Otherwise, how come Mihawk failed to kill him at Marineford.' Kaizo.

"Tch! There goes my surprise attack." Buggy.

"How could I defeat him then?!" Zoro.

Kaizo simply went towards the canon, flipped it over towards Buggy and his crew, and lit it up.

"Answer: Area attacks." Kaizo grinned while Buggy and his crewmates were begging to him to stop the canon.

*BOOM*

"See, easy." Kaizo gives a thumbs up.

"No way its that easy!" Zoro/Nami.

"Yeah, yeah, let me free you captain." Kaizo coated the tip of his sword in Haki and cut through the metal cage as if it was butter.

"Oh…Thanks, Kaizo." Luffy.

"No problem, let's go and finish them off." Kaizo.

"Sounds like a plan." Zoro.

"You guys can't be serious?!" Nami.

"Oi, Luffy. Who's this?" Zoro.

"Oh, our navigator." Luffy.

"Guys! Let's go, over here!" Kaizo.

"Ouch!" Zoro grunted in pain.

Zoro has his wrist somewhat damaged due to the explosion.

"We have to enter a house to treat those injuries." Kaizo.

"I'm fi…" Zoro.

"Vice-captain orders, follow them through mate."

'Time to meet that trolling dog.' Kaizo.
