Usopp jumps from the tree and latches a grappling hook to land safely.

"Why are you so angry? In times like this you should do what you do best, lie. Just say that your father doesn't has anything to do with you, or that he's not your real father…" Kurahadol.

Usopp was about to punch Kurahadol but Kaizo stopped him.

"Don't listen to him, Usopp. He's just an asshole that couldn't find any flaws in my argument and decided to change the subject to make you look bad."

Kaizo looks at Kaya.

"Miss Kaya, be careful around windows or you could fall, we'll come tomorrow for the ship quest, see ya!" Kaizo.

Kaizo took Usopp by the arm and pulled him out of the mansion. The rest followed up after a few seconds.

(Outside the mansion)

"Oi! What's wrong with you!?" Usopp asked angrily at Kaizo.

"No time to talk, bad things are about to happen." Kaizo.

"???" Everyone else.

"That guy, is not who he claims to be." Kaizo.

"What do you mean Kaizo?" Nami.

"The way he fixed the position of his glasses, the physique, everything about him tells me that he's not Kurahadol." Kaizo.

"Then, who is he?" Usopp.

"The captain of the Black Cat Pirates, Kuro of a Hundred Plans." Kaizo.

"Eh?!" Everyone but Luffy and Zoro reacted.

"Who is he? Is he strong?" Luffy.

"Beats me." Zoro.

"Idiots, how come you don't know the infamous Captain Kuro?" Nami.

"I don't read." Luffy.

"I don't care." Zoro.

"O-oi, a-are y-you s-sure he's K-K-Ku-Kuro?" Usopp asked trembling.

"Yes, and before you try to help Kaya then forget it. you and your gang are known to be a bunch of liars, the villagers wouldn't believe you at all." Kaizo.

Usopp wants to respond but Kaizo interrupts him.

"Don't worry, based on his actions I have already figured out his plans, he plans to use the help of one of his former crewmates, Jango, to hypnotize Kaya into giving her inheritance to him. Then, he will raid the village and take over this island." Kaizo.

Everyone but Zoro and Luffy were horrified by Kaizo's deduction.

"Do you have a plan to stop all of that?" Nami.

"I do have a plan. First: I will eavesdrop on his conversation with Jang, who should be in his way to meet him, Luffy and Zoro, you guys will train Haik while I eavesdrop, Usopp, you, Nami and your gang will bring your full artillery for a full-scale battle." Kaizo.

"Question, why so much planning? Can't we just beat them up?" Zoro.

"We could but, without proof of his plans, we'll be marked as the bad guys and he as a saint. We need to intervene when Kaya realizes his true nature, then, we'll be able to kick his ass. The artillery is for his other crewmates that may come when it's time to raid the village." Kaizo.

Everyone was still a bit skeptical about Kaizo's words but Luffy eased them.

"I got it, when do we start?" Luffy.

"Huh? You trust my words so easily?" Kaizo.

"Of course, you are my Vice-Captain." Luffy.

Kaizo was shocked by Luffy's words and was happy about it. Kaizo gave Zoro a book with indications about training Haki and told them to train in a clear area.

"Nami, I need a sed favor from you." Kaizo.

"Keep the revenants of the past inside thy soul, and prevent anything from within get out."

[Bakudō #2: Mise]

A white orb came out from his body and Kaizo took out from said orb a big bag full with metal.

"Please take this to a smithy and tell him to make different weights." Kaizo.

"HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!" Everyone.

"AMAZING!" Luffy.

"Huh? I guess I haven't used my devil fruit that much, haven't I? didn't you guys realized that the big bag I was carrying in Shells Town disappeared without trace?" Kaizo.

"Now that you talk about it…" Luffy.

"I thought that it fell when Luffy got caught by the giant bird." Zoro.

"Fair enough." Kaizo also takes out a bunch of money out of the white orb before it enters back into his body.

"If you get a good discount, you can keep…" Kaizo was interrupted by Nami taking the money and bag away.

"Got it boss, good luck!!!" Nami left and look for a smithy.

Everyone else had poker faces after seeing the power of capitalism.

'Didn't you give her a little too much?' Sword.

'Nah, I took some of Shank's money while they were puking their guts out.' Kaizo.

'Wont he be mad?' Sword.

'I doubt it, I only took a little bit of money.' Kaizo.

(Meanwhile, somewhere in the sea)

"Captain! We have problems!" Roux came to the deck looking for Shanks.

"What's the matter Roux?" Shanks.

"We are short on money!" Roux.

"What?! We're supposed to have more than enough for more than a month, what happened?!" Shanks.

"Well…you see." Roux raises a piece of paper and Shanks looks at it.

'Dear Shanks, if you are reading this, it means that you are sober enough to understand what it says. I hope that you don't mind that I took a little bit of money from you, call it an investment for a future pirate, if you wonder how I took it, then you will keep wondering since I won't tell you, LMAO. Shanks releases some of his Conqueror's Haki but calms down immediately.

"How much he took?" Shanks.

"Well…he took around 200 million berries from us." Roux.

There was a moment of silence in the usual cheerful ship of the Red-Haired Pirates. Shanks began to laugh evilly and then stopped.

"I'm going to beat the SHIT out of that kid! Guys, since we have no other option, let's raid a Marine base!" Shanks.

"Aye!!!" Crewmates.

Said raid made Shank's bounty to increase by 10 million berries.

'Achoo! Why did I feel some chills right now?'

"Well, everyone. Operation: Kaya's butler is a complete son of a bitch and we have to stop him, and we need to think for a shorter name…starts now!" Kaizo.

Everyone leaves to do their respective duties, Zoro and Luffy went towards the plains to train, Usopp and his gang went to look for their arsenals and Nami went to the smithy.

Kaizo then began to stalk Jango around Syrup Village.

'I could stop Kuro and Jango right now but, it would take out Usopp's character development.'

'What the fuck was that?!' Kaizo asked angrily.

'Argh! When will I be able to hear it?' Kaizo.

'When you are strong enough.'

'Shit, seems that the Void Century is even more complex than I originally thought.' Kaizo organized his thoughts about what he knows.

He knows that the true behind the Void Century is related to his devil fruit, he knows that Shinka and Nika may be related one to the other and he knows that Imu is the final antagonist of the series, along with Blackbeard.

However, due to his interferences, he doesn't know what the World Government would do once they realize the truth behind his fruit, both of the most wanted devil fruits in the same ship, not a good look for the future Straw Hats.

'I have to become stronger; I wonder how things are going for Zoro and Luffy.' Kaizo.

(In some nearby plains)

Luffy throws a fast punch towards Zoro and he barely is able to dodge it.

Zoro tries to cut Luffy's body but he evades the attack by kicking the ground and make Zoro lose his balance.

Luffy and Zoro, only Zoro, only read that Haki flourishes through battle and since then, they've been battling for a while.

"What do you think Luffy? You have Haki?" Zoro.

"Hmm…no." Luffy.

"Me neither, maybe his indications were wrong?" Zoro.

"Who knows…" Luffy.

Luffy stares aimlessly at the horizon.

"What's wrong?" Zoro.

"Don't know, I have this weird feeling that something bad will be coming that way." Luffy points at one of the coasts of the island.

"Eh…one second." Zoro took out the book Kaizo gave him and looked for the part of Observation Haki he saw in the index.

"Ah, here it is, 'Observation Haki may allow you to feel other people's emotions even from long distances.' That's what says here." Zoro.

"What does it mean?" Luffy.

"It means that you might have awakened Observation Haki." Zoro.

"Awesome! How do I train it further?!" Luffy asked excited.

"It says here that you must cover your eyes and dodge 100 continuous strikes while 'feeling' them." Zoro.

"Yosh! Give me your headband." Luffy.

"Alright, I'll hit you with my sword sheathed." Zoro.

Luffy stood there doing nothing and received Zoro's attacks one after another, not minding what was that ominous feeling he perceived.

Luffy, at some point began to dodge Zoro's attacks. Though, he never made past 10 hits.

'So, this is Haki. With this, I'll be able to protect my Nakamas!' Luffy.

'Progress, it seems that he's awakened Observation Haki. I guess that I have to step up my game after this problem is over.' Zoro.

(With Nami)

"Can't you give me a little discount?" Nami spoke in a charming voice.

"Well, I-I guess I could make an exception for such beautiful girl like yourself." The blacksmith spoke.

"Here's the list of what I need you to make, see ya later!" Nami.

Nami left the store and had in her hands almost 5 million Berries.

'I'm closer to my goal! Now, I have to leave the island to prevent the confrontation with those pirates.' Nami.

Unfortunately for Nami's plans, Piiman was running around the village looking for anything to protect it and saw her.

"Ah! Miss! We'll be at the base in the forest! We have everything we need there for the plan!" Piiman told Nami and left towards the base.

Nami was conflicted about this whole situation. On one hand, she didn't want to do anything about it and just wanted to finish gathering the 100 million Berries. On the other hand, she couldn't help but feel horrible by giving her back to kids that want to protect their homes, just like when she was a little girl with no one to rely for help.

Nami decided and dashed towards the base in the woods.

'I'm doing something very stupid! I'll leave this crew after this and finish my goal!' Nami told herself while running.

Usopp and his gang have been reinforcing the entrances through the coasts and getting geared up for the incoming fight.

"Crewmates, its nice to see everyone again. After three long years. Before my plan finally comes to fruition, I have one last task that's perfect for guys like you. Tomorrow at dawn, you will destroy this village." Kuro.

The Black Cat Pirates celebrate about their future carnage.

Kaizo, who just finished stalking, decided to go back and call for the others.

"Find those who among the crowds and never miss their essence, encounter as many obstacles as there may be but never lost yourself."

Kaizo whispered the chant and a few small orbs came out of his palms, said orbs began to float away and looked for the rest to gather at the restaurant.

One by one, everyone got the message and met at the designated area, Kaizo came back with the information and told them the plan.

"Are you sure it will work?" Nami.

"Pretty sure. If not, we can always go with the full-scale annihilation." Kaizo spoke with a sadistic expression.

"No thanks…" Nami.

"Since there's nothing else to discuss, go rest and tomorrow we'll fight for Syrup Village." Usopp.
