New Going Merry, Doctor Kaya, Butler Merri
Tomorrow morning they will finally arrive in Syrup Village. Now Luffy was thinking what happens these past month. During those weeks Luffy and Nami get closer and closer with each other. They always talk about their dreams, their family and many other topics. Luffy feels that there is only one barrier to break to free Nami and that is Arlong.
That is why Luffy decided to confront here on the way to Baratie where they will get their Ero Cook. The four of them really get to know each other. Luffy always see to goof off but he can really be serious when it counts. Nami also starts to open up a little to Zoro and Usopp. Zoro also start to open up he tells them about his promise to his childhood rival/friend but still always taking a nap.
While Usopp mellows down about his tendency to praise himself because of the boost in confidence due to finishing the hell training from Drill Sergeant Luffy this past couple of weeks. When he hears about his father from Luffy he became more excited from setting out to the seas. Luffy also drilled them about being a pirate, like respecting their Captain and some spoken and unspoken rules of Luffy and many more.
Zoro hearing this just nodded thinking that is natural, Nami starts thinking some holes she can take advantage off while Usopp taking this seriously as possible. Luffy then fall asleep with a smile with his face because his crew are a lot closer with each other now. Then morning comes they already sees the port of Syrup Village when they got closer they see something being covered by huge cloth.
They surmise that it is the ship they will be getting because Merri was there standing with Kaya and the three Vegetables Pirates of the Usopp Pirates. By the time they dock Usopp quickly run and hug Kaya. Luffy decided to tease them by saying "Kaya sorry for taking Usopp for a whole month you must be lonely at night, shishsishi".
Kaya just blush hard unable to says something, while Usopp just stutter trying to comfort Kaya then just glared at Luffy when he can't say anything. Merri then diffuse the awkward atmosphere by presenting the Going Merry. It still looks the same as the manga but slightly different because it now looks brand new due to replacing the old woods by new ones and painting it.
Merri then tour them inside, they all see the Girls Room, Boys Room, CR, Kitchen with the newest available utensil, the storage room that is full of Dry Meat, Water, Sake and some wine and many more ingredients. the lounge room with all the books available in every subject, the Couples Room and last but not the least is the Captains Room.
When Merri opens the room everybody except Merri and Luffy blinks and looks the big size bed then at Merri then lastly Luffy. Usopp decided to asks Luffy why his bed was big when he is the only one who will sleeps here. "Ohhh there will be a time Usopp that I will wake up one morning and there will be at least 5 bodies in that bed shishsishi" answered Luffy with a big shitting grin.
Merri and Zoro just smirk a little while Kaya, Nami was blushing hard and Usopp also gives Luffy his own shitting grin and a thumbs up in which earn him a pinch from Kaya. "Yosh! Ah before I forgot what is the name of the ship?" asks Luffy. "It's Going Merry" happily answers Merri. "Yosh Usopp here is another 100,000 belly buy all the things can be used for the project the we will be working on.
Just buy the useful things alright, also get your things from your home we will be leaving when come back" ordered Luffy. After Usopp left Luffy then focus his attention to Kaya and Merri and ask "So? what is it gonna be Kaya?" Nami look at them with confusion while Zoro who was about to take a nap look at them curiously.
Kaya looks at Merri and then Luffy, she takes a deep breath and smile brightly "My health is now good thanks to your meal plan and your exercise" the word exercise sends shivers to Nami and Zoro recalling their experience. Kaya did't mind them and continue talking "Please take care of us Captain".
Merri just smile, Nami was shock while Zoro was smirking thinking of the reaction of Long-Nose liar when he return. "Yosh! welcome aboard Doctress and Butler Shishsishi" replied Luffy."Merri can you cook a feast? We will be feasting when Usopp come back to welcome you two to the Straw Hats Pirate" asks Luffy.
"Of course Captain" answers Merri before going to kitchen. While waiting for Usopp, Luffy decided to teach Kaya about medicine. After an hour Usopp finally return with a big full bag but the he trips and started rolling towards Going Merry. Zoro and Luffy jumps down to stop Usopp with their feet then jump back to the stip. "Thanks guys but it shouldn't have to be your feet right?!" complained Usopp.
Usopp then look up KAya who was aboard the ship and says "Kaya ahmm so I will co-" She interrupted him by saying "Come on Head Sniper-kun come up already the Captain is waiting" "Huh what?" says a confused Usopp. Luffy can't take it anymore and started laughing, his laughing is so contagious that the others also started to laugh. "Huhh?! What's going on?" shouts Usopp.
"Just come up already and I will explain inside the kitchen we will be having a feast" answered Luffy.
"But before that, Pull up the anchor! Set Sail to adventure" ordered Luffy. After eating everyone walk towards the deck where Luffy will be explaining to Usopp.
Luffy then explained to them that before they go to the island to train Luffy invited Kaya to join the crew and since he knows that Merri will be joining her where ever she goes and her body was weak right now.
Luffy gives her one month to think about the offer and now that her body was now better she decided to join them. Usopp was still thinking about Kaya joining because he knows that the seas are dangerous.
Luffy who knows what was going on inside Usopp head decided it was the right time to motivate Usopp. He then called Usopp "Usopp you can't force Kaya to change her decision she already made her and everyone in this sea is free" said Luffy with convition.
He then continued "Merri and you both wants to protect Kaya. So now you two have to train hard to protect her and Of course Kaya will have to also train to protect herself when you to are busy fighting our opponents." "Listen everyone I will now assign you crew position so listen carefully" said Luffy.
He then continued "First of all I will be the Captain. Zoro will be the First Mate, Head Swordsman and he will be teaching those who wants to learn swordsmanship. Nami will be the Second Mate and 'my' Navigator, her weapon is Bo" said Luffy while winking at Nami.
"Then Usopp will be the Head Sniper and will be the one teaching those who wants to use Guns. Kaya will be the Secondary Doctor since she just started learning medicines and Chronicler she will records all our adventure till we reach One Piece and after. Kaya will be learning how to use guns from Usopp." Luffy said while smiling brightly.
"Merri will be our Boatswain he will check the ship and fix all the minors damages, while Usopp and Me will deal with major damages until we got our shipwright. he will also be our Quartermaster and Personal Butler/Bodyguard of Kaya, He will only be fighting if necessary and will be learning all to be the perfect butler shishishi" Luffy said
"Now to our next adventure" shouted Luffy. Then Luffy makes a training regime for Kaya and Merri because Zoro now knows what to train, Nami also and Usopp. Kaya's training regime is like Nami from the starts which is body strengthening and building a better foundation.
While Merri had to stop being butler and quartermaster till they have enter granline and he have the minimum strength to protect Kaya. Luffy continuously breaks down and build his body for the duration of one week.
"Oi Nami, take us to that rock there is someone there" ordered Luffy to which Nami nods. Zoro awakens then curiously looks to the man and shouts "Oi Johnny! what happened to Yosaku" The man named Johnny started bawling when he sees Zoro "Zoro-aniki Yo-yosaku is dying".
Luffy immediately ordered Zoro to bring them to the deck, and Usopp tied their both to Going Merry. Kaya quickly discovered that it was scurvy ordered Usopp do a glass of pure lime juice. Kaya then pours all of it to Yosaku's mouth
After drinking all the juice, the man quickly stands up and dance with Johnny even before Kaya starts to reprimand them the man quickly fell down. She reminded them that they need to rest. The only man who is not paying attention is Merri because he is too tired to even speak but you can see his conviction in his eyes. Then they continue to set sail.
