Hamster and a New Sea

We set sail to Hamster's base. Soon we will reach there. About killing Hamster, we decided that we will try not to kill any other marines under him. Most of them are not corrupt and just doing their job to make a better world. Many of them actually suffer at the hands of pirates.

It should be noted that many marines, especially at the lower levels have good morals and joins the marines just to make the world a safer place. Corrupt marines or absolute justice maniacs are not very common.

After a few days, we reached the base at midnight. Hodur scanned the base using his observation haki and confirmed that Hamster was still in there. The target was only Hamster and I had a perfect idea to kill him, which both the brothers liked.

A person can be killed in many ways. The most obvious one was biological death, and the second one was the death of reputation. Like it is said that a person dies when they are forgotten. For some people, if their reputation gets tarnished after their death can also be considered death.

What we aimed for was exactly that. Hamster even though was an absolute scum, still loved his reputation. He would go above and beyond to be a hero. Did he do what was needed to be a hero? No. He is the type to do nothing but he knows to take credit and be in the newspapers.

It was surprising. He was not even going for elections and he still promoted himself more than any politician I knew of back on Earth.

The first step was to sneak into the base, and without anyone finding us. A total sneak. I and Hodur did this task.

It was difficult, but not impossible. We had to avoid all types of surveillance like patrolling marines, surveillance snails, etc but soon we did our job.

Soon, we reached Hamster's room and before he could comprehend what happened, Thor simply knocked him out.

I picked up his special minigun that could be attached to my hand. His devil fruit was Rat-Rat-fruit: Model Hamster. Not some impressive zoan, but it increased his strength nonetheless, which allowed him to wield his minigun with ease.

I equipped Hamster's weapon and tied up two pillows to the left and right sides of my torso. I also put on a cloak like Dragon's in Lougetown. I put on a hamster-like (animal Hamster, not the marine) mask on my face. With this, anyone can mistake me for Hamster, that is if I take advantage of the night properly and do not give anyone a clear view.

Jai: "I am ready now. Take him to the ship and begin the plan"

Thor and Hodur carried Hamster back to the ship. It was difficult for them to do this, but they have done it perfectly.

The next step was our pirate attack on the base. Soon my crew attacked the base and sirens rang out. My next step was turning off the main switch of the base, cutting off the electricity. The electrical room, which housed all sorts of electrical equipment like Electric Switchboard, Distribution Boards, Circuit Breakers, etc were located near Hamster's room.

Moving fast enough, I turned it off and the base had gone dark. I started running back to Hamster's room and jumped out of the window and started escaping. One ensign who saw me and shouted

"Who are you? Stop now or I will shoot"

I replied by totally mimicking Hamster

"Shut up and die"

And shot many bullets at that person with the minigun. Did he die? No. I needed him alive at any cost. With my marksmanship and breath of all things, I did not do any fatal damage, but the damage was serious. I also noticed a few soldiers far away noticed me.

I heard that ensign's words "But why captain?" My agenda here was complete.

But I escaped and got into a rowboat and started rowing it to the sea. The marines could not do much to chase me. Moreover, their base was under attack from the front.

After a certain distance, I jumped from the boat and used underwater geppo to reach my ship.

My crew had already started their attack by the time I reached there.

We did not kill any marine soldiers or leave them with very serious injuries. But we made sure that they won't get up again during our raid.

Arjun did a very good job at this, as he used his metal fruit powers to make chains and restrain the marines.

Thor started shouting "Oi bastard Hamster, come out. How dare you frame us"

The marines of the base knew that we were innocent since according to the newspaper's story, Hamster stopped us from looting Valhalla's ship, but in reality, Hamster did not leave the base that day. Most of the marines did not like it, but they probably ignored it since they disliked bounty hunters anyway or they simply had seen enough shit to ignore this, we did not know yet.

Soon we came across the Commander of the base. He looked angry and asked his subordinates

"Where is Captain Hamster? We need his strength. You both go and call him"

Two soldiers ran out and he faced us and said

"I know all of you are falsely convicted, but there is no choice. It is for justice"

I chuckled and asked him "How is it justice? Which definition of justice did you enact?"

He said, "People must never lose faith in marines. Your actions acted in raising the reputation of bounty hunter as a profession which will reduce the navy's reputation"

I was not sure how that should concern him much.

Drake asked "Why does it matter? Both of the professions deal with killing pirates and keeping the people safe. Moreover, only a selected few bounty hunters cause civilian casualties"

He sighed and replied "You will never understand the greatness of the justice. Everything is fair for upholding justice. Even innocent lives can be sacrificed for it."

I could understand that he is a gone case. Like Akainu he is an absolutely crazy person who is only concerned about the twisted form of justice. He even felt like a psycho when I sensed his emotions.

I sighed and said "So be it." and took out my katana and the Commander took out his Odachi. I used a soru and beheaded the commander. I could not risk keeping him alive. He might someday kidnap someone who is known to us to bring us out or something like that.

I noticed the Odachi and used [observe] on it. It was a named blade called "Kikoku". This is Law's sword from the canon. I picked it up and tossed it to Law. This blade's curse was also much lesser than Gungnir's from what I felt.

"This one is for you Law. You are the only one among us who uses an odachi, so there is no doubt that this goes to you"

It did not take us long to take down every soldier on the base.

In between a soldier made a ruckus that Hamster ran away from the base, thus lowering the morals of the marines further. We laughed at this which earned us a decent amount of hatred from every marine.

We then proceeded to loot all the valuables from the base and left the base.

After a certain distance, Arjun canceled his powers and the marines were free now. They took care of their other injured comrades.

Hamster woke up after an hour and the brothers killed him after a torture session. We informed him about our plan and how he would be painted as a runaway officer. Also, we added that we will sell his family to the slavers, which we would definitely not do.

Hamster begged us to leave his family out of this but we had a grin on our face. The ones who could not maintain a fake grin turned their backs to Hamster.

He had despair on his face and kept begging.

He was surprisingly inspired by Garp and wanted to be a hero, but lacked the strength and conviction. He was mainly attracted by the fame of the marine hero, not the morals.

When Loki contacted him, he made that deal to make money, get better weapons and also a devil fruit, and in return for the investment, he would turn a blind eye to their works when he climbed up in ranks. Loki with his businessman's instinct and experience knew that Hamster was perfect for the job after personally meeting him once.

Once Hamster had enough money in black that he could not spend openly, he secretly used that money to fulfill his dream of becoming a hero, that is, in PR.

We tried to get Hamster's devil fruit as well, but that devil fruit did not reincarnate in the deck.

The next day we visited the news agency office to declare our crew's name. They were scared of us at first but we just requested politely to meet the head of the office and assured them that we were not here to cause any harm. Soon he came and we told him our crew's name and left.

We did that mainly because we did not want to be identified as "Jai pirates" or "Red Rain pirates".

It has been 2 weeks and we finished collecting all the riches from all the locations that Loki mentioned. The newspaper too printed our and captain Hamster's story. The story said that Hamster ran away from us and that destroyed his reputation.

Law and Drake got new bounties. None of them had revealed their devil fruits till date to the world.

The bounties are not high or low compared to our feats. Even a logia user does not necessarily have a high bounty. Moreover, due to the mismatch of information provided by Hamster and feats performed by us, marines will probably do a good investigation on us, so for now they assigned these bounties.

My current bounty is almost Crocodile's frozen bounty and Hancock's first bounty.

We were visiting Flevance kingdom, Law's birthplace. We would leave North Blue soon and Law wanted to visit it. He had very beautiful and painful memories associated to this place.

It took a few weeks to reach Flevance. Once we reached there, there was nothing. Nature had taken over that place. Law's mind was haywire, feeling tons of emotions from rage to sadness.

We walked and soon we reached Law's house which was burned down completely. He went inside and found a few things that served as mementos. Those things were not made with white lead, as we avoided touching anything made of it.

After that, we went to the hospital which too was burned down. We entered the hospital and found out some skeletons and bones here and there. It was a disturbing sight, but we continued. Soon we reached Lami's room in the burned hospital.

There was a small skeleton in there. Law looked into it and deduced that it was indeed his sister's skeleton, from the height, shape, and age. He held it and cried a lot. I let him cry since it is not good to keep bottled-up emotions.

After Law's emotions stabilized, we went around the town and marked the places where skeletons were found. Arjun, with his devil fruit, dug up the ground and we buried them there.

We said our prayers and left. While leaving we felt a certain warm feeling coming from the island. It felt love, gratitude, and relief. I could get that if one person felt it, but if every one of us felt it, it was real.

Law simply smiled and said "It felt like my family's love. Let's go, captain. I am sure they would be happy, wherever they are."

We did not visit the orphanage again since our movements will be tracked properly from now on and it will be unwise to drag the orphanage into it any further, especially after attacking a marine base.

Thor asked with excitement, "So where is our next destination?"

I replied with a smile "South Blue"

They were confused. They expected me to say Grandline.

Hercules asked "Why? We are ready for the Grandline as well"

I said, "We are ready, but it will be best for me and Hodur to reach adulthood before going to the Grandline."

I wanted to wait for my system to unlock before going into Grandline and by the time Hodur is 17 I will be 18 with my system unlocked.

Law asked "But why South Blue? West Blue should be more adventurous, more dangerous, and filled with more riches"

I replied "Yes. But you remember the Torino Kingdom when we searched for information regarding the best medically advanced islands?"

Everyone realized my reasoning. Thor and Hercules were slightly dissatisfied, but even they agreed about the need for medical advancement. I noticed their dissatisfaction, so I said

"We will have a very grand adventure, but for that, we need to go in prepared. I cannot guarantee our lives, but if there is a probability to increase our chances of living, I will take it. This way we can have the grandest of adventures."

A few weeks later we reached the reverse mountain.

Sachi: "Whoa... that is so unnatural"

Penguin: "Are you sure we have to climb this?"

Bepo: "Yes. Sorry, there is no other way."

Thor: "Let's climb this now. I smell adventure"

Jai: "Hahahaha... to the reverse mountain. Law be ready with your powers"

Law: "Always ready captain"

Soon we started climbing the reverse mountain via the ocean currents. Everyone had excitement on their faces. Once we reached the top, Law activated his fruit powers and used `tact` to move the ship to the South Blue's side. The ship landed on the water.

We used our motors to speed the ship forward since we were going against the flow of water and the flow of water was very strong in the reverse mountain. Soon we reached the bottom of the reverse mountain and escaped the reverse mountain water currents.

Our next destination was the Torino Kingdom.

Yo guys. Hope everyone is doing good. Just wanted to inform you guys that the work at my office is heavy these days, so not able to release new chapters at my old pace.

I needed some ideas about the crew name. I came up with a few, but no idea what to use. Neither am I too satisfied with the names I came up with.

It would be awesome if you guys can provide me with some names too ( just something that represents the crew, not something like "Phantom Spider pirates" or "Visored Pirates" )

1. Rey Pirates (Rey = King in Spanish)

2. Grand Adventure Pirates ( I am thinking of this one)

3. Eagle Pirates ( Eagles represent freedom, strength, courage, and leadership) ( I will probably put an eagle figurehead on the ship design whenever I draw it)
