Chapter 18: The old galleon
They were all examining some of the things that fell from the sky. The biggest one was a big wooden box that Robin opened.
"Why is she opening that coffin." Chopper was hiding behind the mast.
Robin found the remains of a corpse with a broken skull inside, then she started to put the skull back together using glue.
"That's soo creepy…" Said Nami, who was hiding next to Chopper.
"Oh, she put it back together." Sanji pointed out.
Robin started to examine the skull and noticed a peculiar hole on the top.
"This hole here is not natural."
"Maybe someone bashed his head. It happens." Said Sanji.
"No…this is from a surgery method called 'trepanation', isn't that right, Doctor?."
Chopper approached with care and took a look at the skull.
"It does seem like it. That was a barbaric method used a long time ago to treat some head diseases."
"Yes, it was used until around two hundred years ago. The corpse is also covered in rubber oil, a custom of a particular area of the south blue around that time. That means this ship is at least that old." Said, Robin.
She then brought an old book and started to look through it.
"Found it. Saint Breeze, from the Kingdom of Breeze. It set sail two hundred and eight years ago."
They looked at the picture of the ship and were surprised.
"Wow, that really is the same ship!."
"I can't believe you found so much information just from a skull."
"if that ship was used for exploration, they must have a log pose." Concluded Robin.
"We should hurry then, the ship is sinking fast." Zoro was looking at Luffy and Usopp who were still on top of the galleon.
Luffy started to sink and Usopp jumped to grab him.
"Hang on, Luffy!"
After having to rescue Luffy and Usopp and getting back to the Going Merry, The Captain looked at his crew with excitement.
"Everyone! Look what I found!."
He placed a scroll on the deck and opened it. It was a well-drawn map of an island and on the top of it, the word 'Skypiea' was written.
"A sky island?"
"Skypiea." Nami examined the map closely.
"That means there really is an island up there?!" Exclaimed Usopp.
"Alright!, there is a sky island. Let's go for it!!" Yelled Luffy.
"Luffy, calm down. We still have no idea how to get there. The Merry cant just fly." Vivi tried to get her Captain to think about it calmly.
"And the map could be fake…" Nami immediately regretted saying those words after seeing the downcast expression of Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper.
"What I mean is….we don't know how to get there."
"Well, you are the navigator. Think of something!." Luffy demanded.
"Don't ask for impossible things!" Nami was getting furious already.
"I don't care, I wanna go up there!!." Luffy demanded again.
"What we need now is information. There may be something important left in that galleon if they came from that island." Vivi pointed out.
"But, it's totally sunk now…" Said Usopp.
"Then we'll have to salvage it!." Claimed Nami.

Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji were equipped with some primitive diving gear created by Usopp and jumped down into the waters.
"Why is Luffy going? that's beyond dangerous. Wouldn't it be better for Usopp to take the last place?" Aske Vivi.
Usopps face got a bit paler.
"N-no…I mean... I am needed here, to…..emm...Ahh, right. I need to be here to make sure that everything works correctly. I am the inventor, after all."
"Right…." Said Vivi, not looking convinced.
They then heard voices coming from afar. They seemed to be singing something about salvaging.
"What is that?" They all said.
A gigantic ship with the banner of a monkey was approaching fast.
"Of all times, why must their weirdos appear now?." Wondered Nami.
"Hey!, what are you guys doing here!, this is my territory." A big man that looked like a gorilla said.
"Territory?" They asked.
"That's right. I am Masira of the Salvaging King Masira pirate crew. Every sunken ship around these parts belongs to me. You didn't mess up my stuff, right?"
"Looks like He wants to salvage it too. What do we do?" Whispered Usopp.
"Hey, answer my question!." Masira was getting impatient.
"Sorry, can I ask you something first?." Nami asked with a sweet voice.
"Eh? you have a question?...sure go ahead," Masira replied.
"Can we watch you salvage the ship?" Nami requested.
"You want to watch? Oh, I see. You guys have never seen salvaging before, right? Very well, you can watch the professionals at work!." Masira said with pride.
"Boss! We have a problem! The crew that went with the hook was attacked by someone!." One of Masira's crew members said.
Masira turned towards the Strawhat crew.
"Hey, You guys!...be careful, there is someone dangerous down there!."
They all breathed in relief.
"Luckily, He's an idiot…"
"Yes…." Whispered Usopp and Nami.

After a few minutes, The giant wooden monkey that was at the front of Masira's ship started moving and was then lowered into the water.
"What is that for?!" Asked Usopp.
"Probably going to use that to lift the ship." Said, Vivi.
Chopper and Usopp had widened eyes.
"That looks awesome!" They both said.
"Attachment complete, Boss," A crew member said.
"Balloon deployed, ready for lift," Another crew member said.
"Alright!, start blowing!" Masira yelled the order.
"No way! are they trying to blow air into that balloon and lift the ship that way? that's impossible." Said Nami.
But they had underestimated Masira's lungs. As He started to blow air into the device, the sunken ship started to come up.
A scream was then heard from the communicating device on board the Masira ship.
"Boss, the crew underwater!"
"They are asking for help!"
"What!, who dares attack my crew!" Masira became furious and jumped into the water.
"Oi…this is bad. Luffy and others are attacking that guys crew…" Said Usopp.
"Yes, no matter how dumb He looks, is just a matter of time before He realizes that we are together. Better prepare for a fight." Said Vivi.
"Hey!, there is a big shadow underwater!" Chopped said while looking at the waters.
As soon as they looked, they saw a colossal black shadow beneath their ship.
"Is that the sunken ship coming up?" Asked Usopp.
Robin looked at the shadow with a serious expression.
"No..the galleon was nowhere near that big…this is something else."
