Chapter 155: Vivi vs Magellan

A.N: -Drinking game: take a sip every time you read the word "poison" in this chapter.-

Vivi's skin started to bubble and melt after making contact with Magellan's poison.

The Warden smiled.

"These horns are imbued with one of my most potent poisons. Mere contact with them will melt your flesh, causing tremendous pain! You will-"

"4 out of 10 at most…" Vivi looked at her melting flesh without changing her expression.

Magellan made a confused expression.

"What are you talking about?."

"The pain, I mean…I give it a 4 out of 10 at most…maybe 5 out of 10 if I'm being generous. Is less painful than having your arm dipped in lava, that is definitely a 6 out of 10. Having your intestines ripped out of your body while a couple of lions feast on them and you can't move… that's an 8 out of 10. And I rather not talk about a full 10…I'll take your poison any day of the week, to be honest," Vivi detached the injured arm, letting the melding arm fall to the floor, and created a new one.

"What the!..." Magellan was shocked. He has never met someone that mentally detached from physical pain.

"No matter!, even if you have some pain tolerance, the poison will still kill you and I know that you have a limited supply of water. Especially in a place as hot as this."

"True…fighting in a hot environment like this was a big disadvantage for me. Having my body evaporated was not a pleasant experience…but I have learned since then." She gave Magellan a smile that made him nervous.

His eyebrows turned into a deep frown, thinking that Vivi was just making fun of him.

"No matter how you fight, it's useless!

Magellan took a deep breath, inflating his belly to an impossible degree before releasing it back in the form of a violet cloud of thick smoke.

"Venom cloud!"

Vivi jumped in the air to avoid the deadly smoke, but the prisoners around the level were not so lucky.

"Nooo!"

"Please, stop!"

"Magellan!, damn you!"

The inmates cursed at the Chief Warden as the violet cloud of smoke started to fill every inch of the level.

Vivi remained floating in the air and looking at the Warden with a calm expression.

"There is no way to run!" He made a hand movement and the poison hydra went after her.

He then covered himself with a thick layer of poison as extra protection.

"You have no way to harm me without exposing yourself to the poison and the cloud will eventually make the air unbreathable for you, if the hydra doesn't get you first!."

Magellan laughed.

"You can give up if you want but I'm afraid that my best offer now will be a quick death!"

Vivi moved in the air to avoid another attack from one of the hydra's heads.

"You seem to be very convinced that you are untouchable now…let me show you something."

She landed back again, ignoring the poison gas and the hydra. Vivi extended her right arm to one side and this one started to change.

"Huh? What is that?..." Magellan took a closer look at Vivi's arm and could not believe what he was seeing.

"That's impossible! You cannot have that power!" He shouted.

Her arm had turned into a solid crystalline substance, also known as ice.

The hydra behind her attempted to attack her but had already moved out of her spot before it could do anything.

She got in front of Magellan and threw a punch at the warden's stomach at lightning speed.

He did not have time to react before her ice fist went through his poisonous armor and hit his stomach with such force that he almost lost consciousness.

"Aggrggg" Magellan took a few steps back and grabbed his belly while bending over in pain.

"That power belongs to the former Admiral Kuzan. There cannot be two persons with the same devil fruit power, I know that much." He looked at Vivi with a mixture of anger and confusion.

She rose an eyebrow at the claim. "True, the Devil Tree is forced to restrict the abilities of its fruits, but there are other ways to archive the same effect. Not that I will bother to explain anything to you."

Vivi did not give him more time to recover and went back to the offense, this time she appeared at his right side, ready to strike his head.

Magellan reacted in time, turning his Hydra into a mass of liquid poison, and recalled it back to him, forcing Vivi to get out of the way.

He gasped for breath a few times as the poisoned mass returned to his body.

"I'll show you something too!..." An enormous amount of liquid poison left his body again but the color was different than before, this poison had a reddish tint to it.

"This is 'Kinjite', my strongest poison!."

The mass of nasty crimson liquid grew in size until it was three times bigger than Magellan himself. It then adopted the form of a giant demon with bat wings and a skull for a face.

"Venom Demon…is the name of this technique…and the instrument of your death."

Magellan pointed at Vivi and the demon seemed to imitate his moves.

"Hell's judgment!"

The demon seemed to take a life of its own and moved to kill Vivi. There was a cloud of crimson fumes surrounding the demon, if she were to breathe that, there was a good chance of dying.

The venom demon was only as fast as Magellan, allowing Vivi to avoid it with ease, but the demon kept leaving behind a cloud of crimson smoke that was mixing with the already existing venom cloud, increasing its potency.

'I need to finish this quickly or the venom is going to really kill me as Magellan hopes. But approaching him will not be easy, not only he has that poisonous armor but the venom cloud is a lot denser around him…'

She had to think of a way to use her abilities to end the fight with the next move.
