Dojo

It been a week since I arrived at Shimotsuki Village and I love it here.

The Island is huge but there is only one village, so there are a bunch of training spots. As of right now, I'm living with Shimotsuki Kozaburo, the founder of this village. It's a hassle though, as he makes me do chores around the house.

I don't have to worry about that right now, as today is a very special day.Today, I'll be attending the dojo for the first time.

As i made it to the so-called "Isshin Dojo", I went inside and went to the back to see a bunch of little boys lined up. The man who was teaching the young one, Koushiro, also the man who let me in the village was commanding them.

As he noticed me entering the backyard , he smiled and told all the other students to stop. He then directed his attention to me.

" Class, We have a new student. Do you mind introducing yourself to the class", he asked me.

I nodded and stepped forward to the class. I let out a deep breath before introducing myself.

"My name is Kozuki Momonosuke ", I replied pridefully.

A list of mummers broke out with the boys. I swear you could hear at least 4 conversations going at once.

"He's pretty tall".

"Pffft, probably another weak student".

"What's with that haircut".

"How strong do you think he is"?

The mummers continued but Koushiro put an end to it quickly.

"Silence"!

In a single moment, all the talking and conversations stopped, and everyone straightened up awaiting their next order.

Koushiro smiled seeing this before starting to talk to me.

"Momonosuke, every time a new student joins, they get to challenge a person to showcase their sword skills. Would you like to challenge someone", he inquired to me.

"I'll gladly sensei", I replied.

I guess this is the time to show my skills. I haven't sparred with anyone except Oden, and even he was toying with me.

I looked to all the students, thinking which one is the strongest. It took me a few seconds before locking in my answer.

"I pick this one", I told sensei pointing at the student.

It was a blonde haired kid. He was taller than the rest of the class and the same height. He was standing in the front lines so he has to have some skills.

The kid's reactions when I picked him were hilarious. He smiled with a wicked grin and laughed. Wow, I must have picked the best one.

I also still have my weights

The class and Koushiro cleared out so we can have our spar. Koushirro handed me a wooden training sword and started the match.

"Begin"!

The blonde haired kid rushed over to me, confident that he could overwhelm me with brute strength. He tried to slash horizontally into my side, only to get blocked from me.

"That's not going to work on me", I taunted the opposition.

I'm right though. Oden made me workout for peak athleticism, including reflexes.

I'm done with this spar though. As I dropped into a partial crouch, took a deep breath, I prepared for a technique Oden taught me.

"Divine Pierce", I yelled through the top of my lungs.

At that moment, I utilized all of my upper body strength. I brought both my arms backward, before thrusting my sword at my target.

The technique connected, hitting the boy's upper stomach. Mments after the impact, the poor boy was sent flying towards the students watching the match.

Koushirro looked at me with surprise, before smiling. The whole class looked at me with awe, wondering how the hell did I get that type of power.

I guess I made a good first impression
