Shakky's Rip-off Bar

"Welcome!" Shakky welcomed the two pirates with a smile before she took a puff from her cigarette and spoke to Kai "An interesting customer, I didn't expect someone like you to visit this place"

"Why not? It's a nice place you got here" Kai responded while looking around the bar.

"Do you by any chance know her?" Bonney whispered in his ear. She was curious since her captain seemed to deliberately come to this place.

"Nop, I don't" Kai replied. He is technically right since he never met Shakky in person before, and he only knows her from the manga.

"I'll warn you, my prices are high" she said.

"Don't worry about money, I've got plenty on me" Kai smiled back before sitting at the counter along with Bonney and ordered a drink for him and juice for her.

"You look like someone who knows a lot" Kai said to her.

Shakky raised an eyebrow when she heard that "What makes you think that?"

"Just a hunch. You also recognized us the instant we entered the bar" Kai said, trying to strike a conversation with her.

"You are pretty famous…you shouldn't be surprised that I recognized you" Shakky replied with a smile while serving them the drinks "I expected something different you know, you seem pretty different than what the rumors says"

"How so?"

"Well, they say you're a sadistic demon who enjoys torturing innocent people…" Shakky paused to take a puff from her cigarette before she continues "…that's how you gained your nickname, the 'Red Demon' or that's your twin brother maybe?"

"Hahaha, Kid might be a battle maniac and brutal to his enemies, but he's not a sadistic person" Kai took a sip from his drink, and then continued speaking "Well, I did kill a lot of people, but I won't say that I enjoy that process"

Shakky smiled as she glanced at Bonney who was drinking her juice "And to think a little girl would have a 100 million bounty on her head, I'm surprised"

Bonney choked on her drink when she heard that "COUGH—COUGH!!...How did you know?!" she was very shocked because she's still in her older form.

"Girl, I lived long enough to be able to see through your façade, plus no mature woman would apply lipstick that way"

"Ops, you've been caught" Kai said.

"Don't say that so casually!!!"

Shakky chuckled at her reaction "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone"

"You better not"

"So, what's the reason of your visit here, Eusstass Kai? I'm sure you did not come all the way here just to have a few drinks" Shakky asked him.

"I'm looking for a coating mechanic, I was hoping you could help me find a good one" Of course Kai deliberately came here seeking Rayleigh for that job.

It is well known that only 30% of the ships that go down to Fish-Man Island survive the journey, and one of the biggest causes of failure is the bad coating of the ship.

Coating is a very delicate procedure and must be done carefully, as any error in its application could compromise the bubble during the trip, causing the ship to be crushed by the pressure if it goes deep enough.

So, Kai isn't going to have his and his crew's lives in the hands of some bad or inexperienced coating mechanic.

"You came to the right place then, my husband can coat your ship for a reasonable price…speaking of which" Shakky paused while looking at the door, before someone pushed it open and entered

Kai got the chills as he felt an incredibly strong presence behind him. He knew who the person was without even looking back 'Even at such an old age he's a monster' Kai thought while calmly sipping his drink before putting down his glass with a loud thud and looked from the corner of his eyes.

"Who is it?" Bonney questioned while turning back her head to see who entered.

It was an elderly man of relatively tall height with a very muscular build and tan skin with a scar over his right eye. He is wearing a nearly plain t-shirt, shorts, sandals and round glasses.

'Former right hand of the Pirate King, Silvers Rayleigh' Kai thought while looking at him with excitement 'This is the man who sailed with Roger and conquered the Grand Line…He is so carefree for someone who knows the One Piece and the entire history of the world'

"Welcome back!" Shakky greeted him warmly.

"Oh, it seems like we're having some customers here. Sorry for interrupting your conversation" Rayleigh said with a friendly smile as he walked to Shakky's side.

"No, it's an honor to meet you, 'Dark King' Rayleigh" Kai said.

"'Dark King' Rayleigh?!! The right hand of the Pirate King Gold Roger!!" Bonney was dumbfounded when she saw him. After all, all pirates know who he is, he's considered a legend "What is he doing in a place like this?"

"Hahahaha! This problematic, I didn't think the youngsters would recognize that easily since I'm retired" Rayleigh laughed it off "I have long since given up on the life of piracy, I would appreciate it if you don't call me that around here. I wouldn't want to lose my business if the Navy finds out"

"Don't worry about"

"We were just speaking about you…" Shakky served him a quick drink before she continued her conversation with Kai "…this is my husband, he's a coating mechanic"

"I see, so you are planning to go to the New World" Rayleigh stroke his chin while speaking "I have some business to do the next 3 days, if you can wait you may bring your ship to Grove 42 after that"

'Business? My ass…he just wants to let himself captured as a slave to steal from his captors and pay off his gambling debt' Kai narrowed his eyes while think about that, but since he is planning to stay here in Sabaody for the next week he didn't mind waiting. "Alright! Good luck with your business"

Kai proceeded to finish his drink, took out some cash from his pocket and placed it on the counter.

"Thanks for the drinks, we'll met again soon" Kai and Bonney got up from their seats and left the bar afterwards.

Kid, Killer, Heat and Wire and strolling around and trying to find a restaurant where they could eat and rest, before they stumbled upon a large warning sign against Marines, with a dead Marine strung up.

"'Marine dogs are not welcomed'…this section appears to be a lawless area" Killer read the sign out loud.

"Good for us then, we won't have to worry about them chasing after us when we are trying to chill" Kid said while walking at the front.

"But man, I've been feeling like someone has been following us for a while" Heat mentioned while scanning the area around them.

Kid suddenly stopped walking and calmly spoke while shifting his gaze to the side "That's because it's true, and it's not only one person…" Kid stated as he felt the presence of a dozen people with his Haki "…How long are you going to hid? show yourselves!"

The moment Kid said that a dozen people jumped out from their hiding and surrounded him and the others. They were all carrying weapons and firearms.

"Hehehe, you finally noticed"

"You're the pirate with 375 million on your head, 'Captain' Kid!...Kikiki! We will claim that bounty after taking your head!" They all laughed manically while pointing their weapons at him.

"Bounty Hunters, huh?" Killer assumed while observing them.

"You must have a death wish; You better apologize and leave before you regretted" Wire warned them while pulling out his trident and got ready to fight. However, Kid gestured to him with his hand to stop before he stepped forwards and faced the Bounty Hunters himself.

"You think you can face us alone? You're surrounded and outnumbered!!" One of the Bounty Hunters exclaimed before he aimed his pistole at Kid shot him a couple of time.

GUN-SHOT!! GUN-SHOT!! Kid tilted his head to the side and avoided the bullets with ease while slowly approaching him.

"What the hell?! I can't hit him!!"

GUN-SHOT!! GUN-SHOT!! Kid's expressions went dark and clenched he his fist before he glared at the Bounty Hunter.

"Agh! What the hell?!"

"Tsk, you're getting on my nerves…You weaklings don't even know your worth" Kid proceeded to grab him by the head and glared at him intensely "Fighting you guys is a waste of time, piss off!"

FWOOOSH!! Suddenly, a powerful energy wrapped around Kid's body before it burst out in all direction, causing all the Bounty Hunters to step back in fear before their eyes rolled back and they passed out one after the other.

"What the hell happened?!" Heat exclaimed in surprise as he watched the scene.

"Did Kid scare them to death?" Wire questioned.

Killer calmly looked at his captain "Kid, you…"

"Hmmm…" Kid gazed at his hands while thinking about what just happened "…Haoshoku…Haki…" he muttered to himself, but his thoughts were interrupted by his stomach growl.

"I'm hungry, let's go find somewhere to eat"
