52 Jaya

"Vice Admiral Comil!!!" All the marine soldiers present looked horrified after witnessing their superior getting defeated. 

"Comil-san!" Captain Shu was no different, he's voice carried a mixture of anger and shock while gazing at the battlefield near them "Damn you Eustass Pirates!!--BAAAM" Before he could have any time to recover from his shock, Shu was attacked by Krieg again who tried to smash his body with his massive battle spear 'Daisenso'.

BOOOM!! Shu swiftly jumped away and avoided the attack, but as the spear hit the ground its head caused a huge explosion, wreaking severe damage and sending Shu flying a few meters back with few bruises and scratches on his body.

"Enough whining... Only strength will decide this!" Krieg declared.

Shu clicked his tongue in annoyance before he addressed the rest of the marines "Listen up marines!...Your top priority now is to rescue the Vice Admiral!! There might be a small hope that he's still alive under the water, but we're not gonna give up until we are sure!" Shu shouted the orders, and everyone responded with a 'yes' in unison "We're going to save him at all cost!"

Kai laughed at Shu's words "Hahaha…You morons, that guy is already dead"

"Come on bro, let's go back to the ship" Kid and Bonney approached Kai who was still lying face down on the ground and helped him get on his feet before they walked back to the ship.

"Bring him inside, I'll take care of him!!" Kureha exclaimed, waving at the three. She was observing the whole battle on the Victoria Punk along with Killer who was injured and Donovan, the shipwright.

"Alright!" Bonney responded, but just as the three were about to board the ship, a few marines slipped past Heat and Wire and attack them. 

"There! The Eustass brothers!"

"They must be tired and injured after their fight, now is our chance to take them down!" Around five marines surrounded them, leading them is an officer.

"Shit! Careful there captain!" Heat warned as he noticed them.

"Hmph, these trash are no threat to me. I'll take care of them, you two go ahead" Kid said with confidence as he stepped forward. But before he got the chance to fight, another figure showed up and instantly knocked the mairnes out without breaking a sweat.

Surprisingly, it was Saga. On his back he was carrying a new katana that he didn't need to use against those marines.

Saga turned towards Kai with a smile before he spoke "Do you have an empty spot on your ship?"

Kai smiled back "Yeah, welcome to the crew…" he limped slowly towards Saga while using Bonney's shoulder as a support and reached for a handshake "…show me if you can become as strong as your friend Roronoa Zoro"

"Alright captain"

Meanwhile…

"Garbage like you will not stand in my way!...I have yet to defeat Kai, I will win against everyone until that day shall come!" Krieg roared while clenching his spear tightly. Gin who was standing a few feet behind him vanished, and then reappeared beside Shu. He proceeded to bite the captain in the right shoulder with his sharp teeth, causing him to bleed.

Gin jumped back after that and prepared for his next attack. Shu charged at him and tried to rust his other tonfa, but Gin saw threw him and easily dodged that. With the agility and speed that he gained in his hybrid form, Gin seems to have no trouble keeping up with or even surpassing fast opponents.

Afterwards, Gin leaped forward at Shu with his tonfa swinging and landed in a crouched position, slamming it down onto Shu's head.

"Demonic Dance!!" Shu's head was smashed to the ground, and he threw a mouthful of fresh blood before Krieg finished him off after that. 

"With this, victory is ours—BOOOOM!!" Krieg leaped in the air and landed with his spear faced down, thrusted into Shu's back. A massive explosion happened on impact.

That last attack was enough to kill Shu on the spot. Heat and Wire proceeded to finish off the rest of the marines afterwards and the crew's battle against the marines was officially over with their victory. 

"Phew!...That was an intense battle" Wire breathed in relief as he put away his trident.

Heat also put his swords back to their sheath and relaxed "I can't believe the captains defeated a Vice freaking Admiral. Their bounties are gonna skyrocket after this" 

Gin and Krieg walked by them on their way back to the ship "Stay alert, we might still have some enemies lurking around. We can't relax until we set sail" Gin warned them.

"They better send someone better next time, someone worthy of facing Foul Play Krieg, the Ruler of the East Blue"

Hours passed after that and Kureha treated everyone's injuries.

"It will at least take two weeks for you to fully heal" She stated that it would take at least two full weeks for Kai and Killer's wounds to completely heal, as for the rest they didn't suffer any serious injuries and they will be completely fine in a few days.

The Rust-Rust fruit of Captain Shu was extracted and stored away. Kai deemed it to be worthless in the long run since Haki users won't be affected by its power, so he was planning to sell it in the Blackmarket if he gets the chance to. 

Shortly after that, the crew went back to Asuka Town again to resupply the ship before leaving the island. They took the chance to plunder Vice Admiral Comil's ship that was docked at the port, taking any valuable object including a sea stone spear they found in the armory.

Once Everything was ready, the captains gave orders and the ship sailed away.

"Heat! Use this instead of the normal Log Pose!" Kai threw an Eternal Pose to him.

As the navigator, Heat responsibilities include planning the journey and ensuring that hazards or obstacles from both climatic and geomatics are avoided. He was standing in front of the helm, it's usually Killer's duty to steer the ship since he's the helmsman of the crew but because of his injuries, Heat took that duty instead.

"We're going to Jaya?" Heat asked.

"Yeap, it's time to pay a little visit to certain person with a god complex" Kai muttered before he turned to Bonney with a scary smile, grabbing her by the shoulders "Now, now…it's time for you to explain yourself"

"E-Explain myself?!" Bonney tried to feign ignorance, but everyone saw right threw her.

"You're a bad liar" x6

While Kai does know somethings about her that he read from the manga including the fact that she is Kuma's daughter, but there was not that else important beside that. 

"Sigh…since you want to know I'll tell you, but only because I trust you" she said with a serious face. She proceeded to tell everyone about her past with her father including the fact that she is only 10 years old which shocked everyone. She also told them that the reason she started sailing is to find her father.

"Your father is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Bartholomew Kuma" Saga was shocked when he learned that, as former marine he knew very how strong the Warlords are.

Now that Bonney told everyone about her real age, it wasn't necessary for her to keep her adult appearance all time and she reverted back to her original child form. 

"No wonder she was acting bratty" Krieg remarked.

"More importantly, a 10-year-old girl sailing as a pirate, you're very brave for your age…" Kureha approached her after taking a sip from the bottle of sake she was holding in her hand "Looks like I have another reason to stay in this crew, can't let these good for nothing give you a bad influence"

Kai raised an eyebrow after hearing that "Look who's talking…drinking in front of a child, isn't that a bad influence?"

"Hoi! Don't treat me like child, I've been taking care of myself just fine until now!!" Bonney snapped at them. 

Kid chimed in and said "This doesn't change anything, you're still part of the crew and if anybody dares to mess with you, I'll show him his place in hell"

"Frankly speaking, I've always felt like you've been hiding something. It's good to know that you trust us enough to tells us about that" Killer admitted.

The conversation continued for a few minutes before Kai clapped his hands, taking everyone's attention before he spoke "Alright now!…let's just take a good rest for the next few days in order to speed up or recovery. We don't wanna get into a fight in these conditions"

A few days later…

[Paradise, Jaya's Western Coast]

The Victoria Punk reached its destinations without hiccups. As the island appeared on the horizon, Bonney picked up a spyglass and took a closer look at it.

"Wow! Look at that city!...It looks like a resort!" Bonney was very excited to discover a new place. She always dreamed of visiting all sorts of islands with her father and she has been able to do so for the past years, the only missing thing is her father.

"That's Jaya Island" Kai stated while standing at the front of the ship. He was looking forward to visit the Sky Island even more.

"So that's Jaya" Kid looked at it with intrigue. As the Victoria Punk approached Mock Town's port, everyone saw an unusual sight "That's weird, there is only pirate ships docked here" 

"Did they take over or something?" Bonney questioned.

"Pirates usually won't anchor in broad daylight" Killer stated.

"Of course…That's Mock Town, its considered a lawless town where all sorts pirates gather, away from the Marines or the World Government's reach" Saga approached the twins. As a former marine he has a decent knowledge about various islands in the first half of the Grand Line "Expect trouble in your stay here…" he said crossing his arms "Though, I doubt that there is anyone stronger than a Vice Admiral so we should be fine"

"Anyway, let's dock and take a look around"
