93 A Supreme King

Nearby, Kid and Silver Axe's battle was reaching the climax as the two fighters didn't hold back anymore…

Kid, still piloting his robot exchanged several blows with Silver Axe. He then targeted the robot's left palm towards his opponent and launched multiple spears from the harpoon gun.

"Punk Pistols!!"

Silver Axe effortlessly dodged the attacks before fixing Kid with a serious stare. After a brief moment, he crouched down and touched the ground. With his awakened abilities, he transformed the earth into liquid silver, snaring Kid's robot from a distance and trapping its legs.

"Flowing Silver!"

"He turned the ground silver?!" Kid exclaimed, startled. He attempted to jump away, but the silver liquid swiftly ensnared his robot's legs, immobilizing it "Damn it! I'm stuck!"

"Hehehe! Listen closely, punk. There is another stage entirely to the powers of a Devil Fruit…awakening!!! It's very rare, but some powers can awaken and affect objects aside from the wielder!!!" Silver Axe explained with a confident grin stretching across his face "When a Devil Fruit user's mind and body catch up to their powers an Awakening happen, only a few individuals reach this stage so be honored to witness this level of power at least once before you die!!"

SWOOOSH! Silver Axe said before swiftly moving to confront Kid in mid-air, launching a direct axe strike at him.

"Tsk, shut up and go to sleep!" Kid spun the huge drill on the robot's arm and jabbed it towards Silver Axe.

Clang…BAAAAM!! With a mighty strike, Silver Axe obliterated the drill and the robot's right arm. Without hesitation, he spun mid-air afterwards, releasing a wide horizontal wave of Haki-infused silver, cleaving the robot in two.

"Silver Rainfall!!" Using his awakened powers, Silver Axe then transformed nearby surfaces into multiple blunt-ended silver tendrils. He then had them converge on Kid with great force, crushing him down and causing visible damage to him.

BOOOM!! Kid hit the ground hard, his body bruised and scraped. He fought to stand up, breathing heavily from exhaustion and the injuries he'd sustained during the fight.

Till this point, Kid barely overpowered Silver Axe as the latter proved to be a formidable opponent both in Haki and Devil Fruit mastery.

Kid managed to lift himself up, only for Silver Axe to emerge in front of him while swinging his axe at him. The former quickly attracted a few metal scraps nearby and shaped them into a large shield to protect himself.

As Silver Axe's weapon clashed against Kid's shield, he narrowly avoided a direct hit. Despite his efforts, the sheer force of the attack, coupled with Silver Axe's strong Haki, shattered the shield instantly and sent him flying backward, clutching his arms in sharp pain.

"AGH--UGHH!...damn it!...Huff…Huff…His Haki is strong"

"Stop wasting your breath and just admit it already…that you're not strong enough to beat me. I've been pirating for decades; I survived the New World all these years, yet a brat like you thinks he's good enough to defeat me…" Silver Axe said, he then added "You're nothing but a joke, Eustass 'Captain' Kid!!"

"You're the joke, you've been pirating for decades yet you're still struggling to defeat me. I think we have a clear idea who's the superior one here" Kid responded with a smirk. His confidence and resolve unwavering even after taking that much beating, he was still about defeating his opponent or die trying.

"You little shit!!...I will finish you off in the next move!!" Silver Axe declared, irritated by Kid's words and unwavering confidence even in the face of death.

'I need more power if I want to defeat this guy, I'm pretty sure he's been using an Advanced Armament Haki…thinking about it, Kai did explain that there is advanced techniques for each type of Haki…' Kid though in his mind, glancing at his clenched fist while recalling Kai's Haki explanation during the training they took in the last year and a half '…Instead of forcing the Haki like normal hardening you can make it flow out of your body and even emitted from a distance, if I can use that I'm pretty sure it will increase my strength'

"Where'd you nod off?!" Silver Axe used his awakened power to shoot a sharp silver blade that erupted from the ground with great speed.

"?!!" Kid was taken aback when the blade sliced across his chest and stomach as he tilted his body to the side. Fortunately, the cut was shallow and not serious at all.

'Focus, it's either do or die!' Kid thought as he and Silver Axe charged at each other, meeting in a clash.

BAM! BAM! BAM! The two traded a few blows before Silver Axe overpowered Kid and kicked him away.

'I need to relax and let my Haki flow smoothly out of my body…we finally have the chance to face an Emperor of the Sea after this, I won't lose pathetically to this shit head!' Kid stood in his place thoroughly while shotting a menacing look at his opponent.

"I don't like that look on your face, I'll make that confidence of yours disappear soon enough!" Silver Axe aimed his weapon at Kid while saying that.

Kid licked his lips as a savage grin stretched across his face "Hahaha!! I won't lose, Silver Axe!"

"I will lay waste to all my enemies and render them in state of nothingness!…I will rise over them and my accomplishments will overshadow their existence to the point of them being forgotten!..."

"…I will send them to oblivion!!" Kid declared, his fist and entire body flowing with a red-colored aura as he coated himself in Advanced Armament Haki before delivering a massively powerful punch with shockwaves that projected forward.

KA-BOOOOM!!! Without even touching Silver Axe, Kid emitted his Armament Haki from his fist ahead, blasting him away along with dozens of buildings and pirates, turning the entire part of the city in front of him to ruins.

Silver Axe was immensely hurt from Kid's attack as he coughed blood from his mouth and got buried underneath the rubbles.

"Hahaha! I bet that hurts you a lot, Silver Axe…"

Back at Kai and Wang Zhi's battlefield,

"Get your ass up on your feet Wang Zhi...I'm not done with you yet, I still need a sparring partner" Kai spoke to him while aiming his sword at his direction.

Wang Zhi, down on one knee raised his gaze and looked at Kai in disbelieve "What the hell is going on with this kid?...his Haki is a lot stronger than before all of a sudden...Huff...Huff..."

"Are you finally giving up?" Kai asked with a mocking tone of voice, saying the same words Wang Zhi said to him earlier "Rest assured, your effort won't go unnoticed. People will praise you for being brave enough to defend Pirate Island and face me with courage!"

Kai smirked after saying that, his mockery clearly hitting a nerve with Wang Zhi, who visibly bristled with anger, his veins bulging and eyes blazing with fury.

"DON'T UNDERASTIMATE ME BRAT!!!" With a loud roar, Wang Zhi mindlessly charged towards Kai, his weapon flowing with Haki as he jabbed it forth at Kai's torso.

Kai Parried the blow by holding his sword vertically before striking back with a projectile Haki imbued slash, which Wang Zhi redirected away before aiming his nine tails ahead and unleashing a large fireball from them.

"Fox Flame Emperor!!"

Seeing that, Kai proceeded to scrap Shichiseiken at the ground, and the friction created green-colored flames before Kai channeled lightning into the blade, and from its tip he mixed both the green flames and the blue lightning to make a big, teal-colored sphere that looks like a miniature sun that crackles with lightning.

He then swung his sword forward, releasing the ball that swiftly collided with Wang Zhi's attack, creating a spectacular explosion of flames that rippled in every direction.

FWOOSH!! Emerging from the flames, Wang Zhi throwed his hardened fist at Kai. He released a Hasshoken shockwave from his knuckles while emitting his Armament Haki outside his body as a powerful burst.

Kai protected himself by crossing his arms in front of him, but the punch still pushed him back a little.

'Not enough...this is still not enough, if I want to conquer the Grand Line I will need to get stronger than this' Kai thought in his mind as his eyes flashed red and he unconsciously released a powerful burst of Conqueror's Haki around him.

"I see...so you have it, Conqueror's Haki. That explains a lot..." Wang Zhi squinted and shot a hostile glance at Kai after seeing that "...are you trying to become a king?!"

"Yeah, you damn right!...I will spread my name through the world! I will become the strongest pirate and find the One Piece and go even beyond that if I have to!..." Kai declared as his Haki rendered every weak-willed individual in the vicinity unconscious.

"Do you even have any idea about the monsters that you're gonna have to face to achieve that, huh?! You think finding the One Piece is some kind of children game?!..." Wang Zhi shouted while tightening the grip on his weapon "Get fucking real!!!"

"HAAAA!!!" With a fierce battle cry, Wang Zhi charged straight at Kai, aiming for his neck to finish him off in a single strike.

'Don't strain yourself...don't force the Haki out but let it flow smoothly out of your body...' Kai said in his mind, a red-colored flowing aura surrounded his body as he hardened it with Advanced Armament Haki.

'More! I need more power!...if I can make my Armament Haki flow around my body then I can use the same concept to infuse myself with Conqueror's Haki...'

'...Instead of letting out my Conqueror's Haki as a burst in all direction, I should force it to constantly flow around my body instead!'

SWOOOSH!! BOOOM!! Just as Wang Zhi sword was about to hit Kai, the latter swiftly raised his weapon and blocked it.

At the same time Kai rolled his fist and punched away Wang Zhi.

"UGHH--!!!" Wang Zhi gasped for air after receiving that, holding his stomach from pain.

When he glanced at Kai again his eyes widened in disbelieve as Kai's sword was shrouded in a red aura.

"If it means achieving my goals, I will bring destruction and annihilate all of my enemies and thrive over them…"

FWOOSH!! Kai declared and proceeded to lung at Wang Zhi at a very high speed that the latter was frozen in his place in surprise.

"Red Demon?!!"

Lightning! Lightning! Kai held his sword in his right hand, thin streams of black lightning with red hue radiating from it as he infused his sword with Conqueror's Haki, and then swung it horizontally, creating a powerful slash attack that struck Wang Zhi in the chest.

SPLASH!! Wang Zhi threw a mouthful of blood as his eyes rolled back, his sword was broken as Kai cut through it and slashed his chest, knocking him out unconscious and defeated on the spot.

Thud! Wang Zhi collapsed on his back and Kai landed near him before slowly putting his sword back to its sheath.
