Chapter 5

Title: Cat...

It doesn't take long for Ace and Cat to find and kill six boars. Ace isn't bothered at all by animal blood and he is honestly having quite some fun. For two years straight he has been cooped up in a house with bandits, all he did those two years was train and think about training. All that for when one day he would need to fight monsters.

For a normal baby, it might stare into the ceiling and not be bored at all for hours. Ace had an adult's mind, and while that had its advantages, it also had its disadvantages. He would get bored staring at a ceiling for twenty hours.

….

-Ace POV-

I just look at the pile of boars that are stacked up inside the cave. "Oy! Cat! We will have to carry these back home."

I see Cat just glance at me as I am on his back. Yeah, I know that by us… I mean just him. But he also doesn't have to be a d*ck about the situation. 

In the end, I smile and tell him. "Okay Cat, let's go and cut some trees, I have an idea."

…

We go outside and I jump off his back and land on the ground. Outside of the cave, there are a bunch of trees and I point to the nearest one.

 "Cut that one." I tell the giant tiger with a playful tone in my voice.

The tiger doesn't need to be told a second time as he slaps a tree.

Baam!

Easily breaking the tree in half and then looking at me. I only sigh at this in disappointment, I guess he thought that I told him to break the tree. Well, he is still an animal and I was talking with it like it was a human all along.

"Okay break those trees then too." I order Cat while pointing at a dozen or so trees.

After finishing the job, I start giving my new friend instructions on how to separate tree trunks in half.

I then use the sturdy grass to make a make-shift rope by weaving it together to make it stronger. Then I tie them up together and make a make-shift sled. This way I tie it up to Cat and put the boars on the giant sled now.

….

Cat seems to struggle a little but he can drag the sled up the mountain.

-General POV-

While Ace was dragging the boars up the mountain with the help of the elephant-sized tiger. It starts becoming dark and night comes about.

Dadan and her bandit group have looked all over the mountain and the neighboring mountains. But in the end, they found nothing, no trace of Ace at all.

As it became dark they decided to temporarily stop the search, they will continue it tomorrow morning once again.

..

*knock* *knock*...

The bandits were preparing dinner when they heard a knock on the door. Magra, whose beard and hair resemble that of chickens went to open the door. As he does so he sees the young child in front of him and screams out.

"ACE IS HERE!!!" 

That gets everyone's attention and they stop whatever they were doing and go to Ace. 

"Ace where were you, we were worried?" Asks one of the mountain bandits.

"Just having a casual stroll around the forest and I got lost." Explains Ace without missing a beat. His voice is very casual as if he was just talking about eating all the food on his plate, and not strolling around a dangerous forest with no injuries on him.

"Are you okay Ace?" Asks another member of the bandit crew as he ushers in Ace.

"Well yeah. But where is Dadan?" Questions Ace curiously, he didn't see Dadan cone to greet him so he immediately thinks that she might be still looking for him outside.

"Oh, she is cooking some meat." Answers one of the bandit members.

As they say that Ace smiles. "Oh! I remember now. Guys follow me, I wanna show you something."

"Ehhh… It's dark Ace and we are all tired."

"Yeah, we had to work all day."

"Yeah, yeah, how about you show us tomatoes."

"I don't wanna see this tomorrow neither." Whispers one of the bandits towards his fellow mountain bandits.

*whisper* "Don't worry, he is just another dumb kid, he will forget this all by tomorrow."

*whisper* "Yeah, I guess you are right." 

Ace becomes annoyed as he can hear all that is being said clearly. "Oy! You guys, stop annoying me or I will feed you to Cat."

The other bandits see Ace being angry, so they decide to follow him because in their eyes it would be too annoying to be with him if he is gonna annoy them all.

As they go outside though they are shocked as they see the six boars rounded up in a pile. 

"""W -What!!?!?""" They are all shocked by this, but what shocks them even more, and even terrifies them is a giant tiger that comes out of the dark. "AHHHHH!!! A Monster!!!"

Ace smiles as he hears them scream out loud. "Hey! Guys this is Cat, my pet tiger."

As soon as they hear that they immediately calm down and casually say. "Oh, okay."

Ace can't help it but be confused at how fast they just calmed down. 'The people in this world are weird as hell.'

"Can you guys cook this for me? Out of the six, you guys can have four boars for cooking it for me." Says Ace with a generous smile on his face. 'Plus I can't even eat one full boar, but I am definitely gonna push myself to over-eat. So that way I have more energy. Weird bodies in this world. I don't know how yet, but this is how it works.'

….

After that, Ace is not even able to finish off one boar by himself as he bloats up and falls asleep on the spot. He has overeaten as much as he could hold in.

-Ace POV-

Five months have passed since I became friends with Cat. So here I am, resting on his back as we travel across the forest. I am lying on him with my hands behind my head while looking at the sky. During these five months I have eaten enough food and proten to help with my growth, it truly helped a lot. Especially now that I can train in the wilderness.

Suddenly I am interruptd from my thought process as I feel that Cat has stopped moving and he grunts slightly.

I immediately open my eyes and am on full alert at this. 

"What's wrong Cat?" I asked him, hopefully, he didn't stub his feet on a rock again.

He nudges his head forward and I look in front of us. There is a man in white shorts, sandals and wearing a red short-sleeved shirt with flowers on them.

GARP!?!?! What the hell is this old man doing here? I haven't seen him in quite a while.

"Yo! Ace! When Dadan told me that you got a friend tiger I didn't believe her at first. Seems like I was wrong. Bahahahaha…" Jokes Garp, his voice is boisterous and full of confidence. He doesn't even see the tiger in front of him as anything more than a house cat. I wouldn't even blame him, with his power he has the right to feel whatever the hell he wants.

 I know that he is just messing around but I still ask him politely. "What do ya want, old man?"

"Told you to call me grandpa!" Criticizes Garp, but in the end, he still smiles and says. "I think that you are ready to train to become a marine."

Glad people seem to like this story. Also now I will start doing some more time skips as I want to move the story along too. We will also see as Ace changes things around him and himself.
