Chapter 11: Birth of the Silver Siren

A mythical-zoan.

Of all the devil fruits we could've discovered on that ship we got lucky enough to score a mythical-zoan.

Oh happy fucking day.

"Yes!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Throwing my hands into the air as I did so. A stupid grin on my face as well.

I went on like this for about five minutes before I finally calmed down.

"Sorry about that guys, I'm just so happy. We've got a mythical-zoan in our grasp." I spoke. I then looked at its description in the encyclopedia again and as I started reading it I realized it's a powerful one as well.

I mean all mythical-zoan are broken and OP as hell, but this one I would place in the upper echelons of that fruit category.

Tori Tori No Mi; Model Siren.

A mythical-zoan which allows its consumer to transform partially or fully into a mythical Siren. Giving them access to the powers of enhanced strength, senses, regeneration, flight, and to top it all off the ability to manipulate their voice to produce sonic death screams or create melodies that can influence people emotions and or minds.

That matches with the description I remember about Sirens in the mythology of my previous life.

I was a history buff, so sue me.

As I closed the devil fruit encyclopedia I looked at my crew.

All of them looking back at me.

"So, before we do anything else we need to decide what we're going to do with this fruit. Now that we know its true value that discussion can't wait." I said. "Thoughts and suggestions?" I asked.

"I want to eat it." Alfia suddenly spoke up. "And before any of you ask I am sure."

"Ok then. I have no objections." I spoke.

Since I feel this is the perfect fruit for Alfia. Now she will become a true Silver Siren.

"Law, Bepo, what say you two?" I ask.

"I take no issues with it." Law said.

"Me neither. I trust Alfia." Bepo spoke.

"It's decided then." I said. "Alfia you can eat the fruit. But before you do let's find some dry land."

Since I would rather not be on a boat this small in the middle of the sea when a new devil fruit user eats their fruit and then tries to awaken their powers.

That's just asking for trouble.

Hearing my order the others nodded.

We then started searching for some dry land, and eventually found a small island.

Making landfall we scouted around for a bit and found it was completely devoid of civilization. But it did have several fruits and clean drinking water. So we replenished our supplies.

Then after we were done with that we all convened on the beach for Alfia's big moment.

Law, Bepo, and I stood and watched her as she held the Siren devil fruit in her grasp in the middle of the beach.

"Alright. Time to get this over with." Alfia said.

She then brought the devil fruit up to her mouth and took a bite out of it.

Which she then promptly spit out onto the ground.

"Fuck! That tastes, I don't even know how to describe it!" Alfia shouted. She then looked at me and Law. "Roberts, Law, you guys actually one of these things to gain your powers?"

"Yes." I replied.

"Yeah, I did." Law said.

"I don't even..." Alfia was left speechless. "I don't think I can do this."

"Hey, it'll be fine. I didn't even eat all my fruit to get my powers. I simply ate a small portion, chewed as quickly as I could and then swallowed. Just do the same as me and you'll be fine." I explained to Alfia.

She then looked at the fruit and grimaced.

But that only lasted for a moment before she put the fruit up to her mouth and took another bite of it.

Placing her free hand over her own mouth Alfia worked not to gag. A minute later she titled her head back and I saw a rather sizable lump slide down her throat. Meaning she has managed to eat part of the fruit this second time around.

Once this was accomplished Alfia dropped the devil fruit and dry heaved.

This lasted for several minutes before she finally returned to normal.

"So, how do you feel?" I asked.

"Just fucking dandy." Alfia snarkily replied. I then saw her close her eyes and suddenly she went through a transformation.

Turning into a partial bird-woman.

Which if I'm being honest looks quite hot.

Opening her eyes Alfia used the new wings her back to take to the skies. Performing several tricks in the air as she did so.

But eventually she landed back on the ground. The moment after she did Alfia transformed into her full Siren transformation.

Turning towards a tree I saw Alfia scream, and then a second later supersonic sound waves came out of her mouth and split the tree into multiple pieces.

Spreading her wings Alfia cried in triumph.

She then reverted back to her normal self. Walking over to us after she did so.

"That was good for your first transformations." I said. Leaning down and giving her a quick kiss after I did so. "Still, just because you've got devil fruit powers now don't let it go to your head."

"I won't. I'm not Law after all." Alfia said. Making a joke.

I snickered at it, so did Bepo.

While Law just shot Alfia a dirty look which she ignored.

Ah, it's times like this that make life worth living.
