Enel decided to run away.

Everything happened right in front of Brontes. Knowing he stood no chance against Brontes, Enel made the choice to escape.

Confronted by a formidable opponent, he dropped his arrogant demeanor and fled.

In an instant, he transformed into a bolt of lightning and vanished, leaving behind even his subordinates who fought for him.

"That's strange..." Brontes thought to himself, gazing at the golden bell before him.

This was his first time seeing it, but he knows that Roger had visit here in the past.

Observation Haki is recognized as the most intricate of the three types of Haki, mainly because acquiring it through training differs vastly from being born with it.

In Skypiea, a girl named Aisa was known for her innate strength in Observation Haki.

As a Shandian, she could sense when people were dying or losing consciousness, and she could even feel other people's emotions.

Another person Brontes knew with this natural gift was the late Queen Otohime. Her Observation Haki enabled her to truly understand what others felt, making it possible for her to persuade her foes to reconsider their paths.

Roger was the last person Brontes recalled who had this remarkable talent.

His Observation Haki allowed him to perceive the "voices" of all things.

This skill gave him the ability to understand historical texts without actually reading them and even listen to the ocean's voice.

The potential for growth in Observation Haki was immense. For example, Katakuri could catch glimpses of the future, allowing for advanced predictions.

Then, there was Issho, who, despite his blindness, depended greatly on his Observation Haki, broadening its scope significantly.

He could even detect meteors in outer space and, using the Gravity-Gravity Fruit, pull them down to earth.

Brontes's Observation Haki shared similarities with Issho's, yet it had an innovative edge; he combined it with electromagnetism, enabling him to eavesdrop on distant conversations through electromagnetic waves.

This fusion gave Brontes an unparalleled edge in collecting intelligence and conducting surveillance.

However, Brontes found himself pondering over how Roger was able to pinpoint every historical text's location even though he began his journey at sea.

Knowing that Shanks hailed from the West Blue, it was clear to Brontes, from his days at Marineford, that Roger must have visited the West Blue as well.

Roger had traveled extensively across the Four Seas before making his way back to Loguetown to embark on his journey anew.

"Secrets, a great treasure, this is quite interesting." Looking at the ancient golden bell, Brontes murmured.

Brontes maintained his Observation Haki on Enel, confident that unless Enel left Sky Island, there was no chance for him to evade his detection.

What Brontes didn't foresee was Enel's run-in with Luffy and his crew amidst his flight.

A confrontation ensued between them and the Straw Hat Pirates, and due to Luffy's unique rubber powers, Luffy managed to corner Enel impressively. This development caught Enel off guard.

Within a single day, Enel faced two unique opponents who could nullify his lightning powers completely.

Enel was unsure about how powerful Brontes was, but being swiftly defeated by him signaled that Brontes's powers were significantly greater.

To Enel, Luffy represented an unpredictable challenge, as a Paramecia-type devil fruit user whose abilities unexpectedly neutralized his own.

Frustrated and angry, Enel fought fiercely against Luffy, yet his attacks were ineffective against him.

With the blueprints for the Ark Maxim now in Brontes's possession, Enel found was unable to construct the ark upon his arrival at Angel Island like the original work.

His ambitions thwarted, he looked for alternative methods to fulfill his dream of reaching the moon, a mystical and expansive destination he longed to conquer.

The story's direction had changed dramatically; in Brontes's eyes, Enel was not deemed a total failure.

Seen from a certain perspective, Enel's combat skills could be considered on par with a Shichibukai.

Still, Brontes remained in the dark about the specific nature of Enel's devil fruit.

Unfortunately for Enel, Luffy had him completely outmaneuvered.

Their confrontation stretched on for hours, and in the end, Enel realized he had no hope of defeating Luffy, deciding instead to avoid further confrontation.

Luffy, on the other hand, was determined to defeat Enel, particularly since Sanji and Usopp were incapacitated, leaving him as the sole crew member capable of neutralizing Enel's lightning.

As the leader of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy could not overlook Enel's actions against his crew. Regrouping with Zoro and the rest, they prepared to engage Enel once again.

To escape the pursuit of Luffy and Brontes, Enel withdrew to the Shandia ruins, where he stumbled upon the Golden City.

Hidden by clouds, this city had remained concealed for ages.

Although Enel managed to acquire his golden staff from these ruins, he only found a fraction of the gold outside the ruins and never truly uncovered the full mystery of the Golden City.

.....

The following day, Luffy and his crew found themselves face to face with Enel once more, setting the stage for an intense showdown.

After Brontes had departed, Enel's loyal followers managed to slip away from the Temple and regrouped with their god.

With Enel at the helm, his followers clashed against the might of Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates and the formidable Shandia warriors.

The battle that unfolded became a fierce tripartite conflict. In this fray, Enel's devil fruit powers stood unmatched.

Despite nearly being defeated by Wyper, who used a Sea-Prism Stone and Reject Dial, Enel miraculously revived himself leveraging his electrifying abilities.

Brontes witnessed this entire spectacle with keen interest. He identified a critical flaw in Enel; aside from his impressive lightning powers, Enel's physical capabilities were only marginally better than that of an average person.

...

The skirmish eventually whittled down to a direct confrontation between Luffy and Enel, with Nami on the sidelines and the rest incapacitated by Enel's powerful lightning attacks.

As the decisive battle was about to commence, Brontes made an unexpected appearance between the two, choosing only to observe.

Luffy was caught off guard by Brontes's sudden presence, while Enel reacted with sheer terror.

"Don't worry, you two can fight freely. I'll just watch from here!" Brontes said, wearing a bright, reassuring smile.

...

In the end, Enel was ultimately defeated, humiliated by Luffy, and blasted into the White-White Sea.

With the battle over and the Straw Hat Pirates victorious, Brontes also left Skypiea. This journey could be considered somewhat fruitful, especially since Enel was now on the airship.

"Voom! Voom!"

The airship's propellers buzzed loudly. Brontes found solace on the deck, relaxing in a lounge chair with a glass of wine in his hand.

"I know you're awake. No point in pretending to be asleep." Brontes said with a light chuckle, while holding his wine glass.

Hearing Brontes's words, Enel was laying behind him, reluctantly opened his eyes.

"What do you want from me?" Enel asked, his tone conveying a sense of defeat in the face of Brontes's power.

"My want to let you see the real world. The 'infinite land' you dream of, referring to the moon, was once the homeland of the Skypieans. How you came to know of it intrigues me, but wanting to reach it is a difficult task, one that demands a crucial piece you lack." Brontes explained, his voice steady and serene.

"The legendary Ark Maxim?" Enel looked at Brontes, astonishment evident in his gaze.

"You're know about the Ark Maxim?" Brontes responded in a surprised voice.

"Yes, I discovered information about this artifact amidst ancient records in the old temple ruins. How do you come to know of Ark Maxim?" Enel answered, then inquired.

"When I found the Rumble-Rumble Fruit in the temple, the designs of an ancient artifact were beside it." Brontes answered truthfully.

"What do you from me?" Enel, though not the brightest, was no fool either and swiftly discerned that Brontes's intention wasn't simple.

"It's quite simple actually. You possess considerable strength and a formidable ability, making you a fitting candidate to work for me." Brontes didn't hide his intention.

"Ha! Do you truly believe a god would bend the knee to a mere mortal?" Enel retorted with a sneer of disdain.

"A god? Hahaha!" Brontes erupted into hearty laughter.

"Don't oversimat yourself. You dare to call yourself a God with your weak strength? Follow me and I'll show you the true world. By the way what kind Of Devil Fruit you ate?" Brontes curiously looked at Enel.

"The Logia-type Purple Lightning Fruit." Enel disclosed.

"Purple Lightning Fruit? I see. Another Logia-type like my Rumble-Rumble Fruit. No wonder it gave you such power. Though it falls beneath the Rumble-Rumble Fruit in rank, I hadn't anticipated the presence of two Logia fruits in Birka." Brontes murmured thoughtfully.

In that moment, Brontes came to a realization: some things were subject to change, while others, like Enel obtaining a Logia Fruit, seemed fated to happen no matter what.

The appearance of the Purple Lightning Fruit defied logic, yet destiny unfolded in enigmatic ways.

"I didn't get it in Birka." Enel interjected.

"Oh?" Brontes appeared puzzled.

Gazing towards the horizon, Enel continued: "I'm unsure how you are familiar with my past. Following your execution of the Head Priest, animosity towards Blue Sea dwellers among the Birka populace intensified. As someone without Skypiean wings, I became an outcast, shunned by my own kind."

"I, too, faced exile, branded an outcast due to my Blue Sea heritage. Stranded on a Cloud Drift, I was left to fend for myself." Enel said with a tinge of anger.

"Well, that's quite the tale." Brontes acknowledged, genuinely surprised by Enel's past experience.
