Upon Brontes's arrival at the marine base, everything and everyone fell silent for a moment as if time itself had paused, leaving the marines completely astonished.

"ZliZli!"

The only warning of his approach was the sudden rumbling of thunder. By the time the marines looked skywards to discern the source of the sound, Brontes had already made his grand entrance, standing boldly between Kaido and Sakazuki.

The marines erupted into cheers and shouts, recognizing the imposing figure of Fleet-Admiral Ragnarok.

"Fleet-Admiral Ragnarok!"

"Commander!"

The sight of Brontes stirred a mix of excitement and sheer relief among the crowd, particularly among those who had previously served under him at the G-1 Base.

Brontes responded with a nod to the marines calling out to him, but his gaze quickly became intense and focused, locked onto Kaido in a silent standoff.

Kaido met Brontes's stare with a glare of his own, reflecting on the years that had lapsed since their last confrontation.

"So, Ragnarok, you've finally shown up." Kaido studied Brontes closely, trying to spot any changes in his adversary.

Despite noting some new tattoos he hadn't seen before, Kaido found Brontes to appear remarkably unchanged, his facial features exactly as they were during their last battle.

With a slight chuckle, Brontes teased: "You've been looking for me, haven't you? Well, now I'm here. Or is it that you're too scared to make your move?"

"Scared? Me? You're actually the first to dare say I'm scared." Kaido retorted, discarding his kanabo to signal his preference for a fistfight over using any weapon.

As the atmosphere grew tense with seriousness, Kaido's body began to undergo a dramatic transformation. Scales sprouted and covered his body, a clear indication he was shifting into his formidable hybrid form.

This transformation is known to be the strongest among the Zoan devil fruit forms, offering a blend of human and animal traits to the user.

Zoan devil fruits bestow three forms upon their users: their original humanoid form, the animal form, and the significantly powerful hybrid form, which combines the strengths of the user with the abilities granted by the Zoan fruit.

This concept of hybrid strength is the foundational theory behind the Inanimate Weapons, a development springing from Dr. Vegapunk's research into Zoan-Type devil fruits.

His studies suggested that integrating Zoan abilities with inanimate objects could potentially underuse the fruits' powers, despite the benefits of combining the physical strengths of the user with the Zoan fruit's advantages.

Absolutely, weapons are merely tools, incapable of evolving or gaining further enhancements beyond their original design.

Vegapunk's pioneering research delved into the potent capabilities of Zoan awakening, concentrating specifically on the remarkable regenerative powers it could bestow upon its wielder.

The fearsome Jailer Beasts encountered in Impel Down are a testament to the outcomes of Vegapunk's studies on Zoan fruit awakenings.

Their ability to recover from defeats, even after confrontations with formidable opponents like Luffy and others, underscored the resilience inherent in their Zoan powers.

"I'll handle this. He's here for me." Brontes said, shedding his coat as a symbolic gesture of readiness for battle against a powerful foe.

"Hmph!"

Sakazuki, though visibly displeased, grunted coldly and stepped aside, acknowledging that his involvement in the upcoming clash would be limited.

"ZliZli! ZliZli!"

As crackling lightning enveloped them both, Kaido's dark electrical energy contrasted sharply with Brontes's pale blue-white lightning.

Kaido's transformation into his half-dragon form, marked by horn-like protrusions on his head resembling those of a dragon, set him apart visually during this intense confrontation.

"Thor's Enhancement!"

Brontes underwent a significant transformation himself, showcasing intricate tattoos infused with Armament Haki. These markings, bearing a dragon scale motif distinct from Kaido's, hinted at the power lurking within.

"Rumble! ZliZli!"

Rumbling with determination, Brontes seized the initiative, leveraging his superior speed against Kaido.

While Kaido possessed agility, he found himself outmatched in speed by the lightning-quick Brontes, whose movements were nearly impossible to track.

Despite Kaido's keen Observation Haki, he struggled to match Brontes's rapid maneuvers, which moved at a pace akin to lightning itself.

"Woosh!"

In a sudden burst of movement, Brontes vanished only to reappear behind Kaido, delivering a swift punch.

Yet, Kaido's swift response demonstrated his familiarity with Brontes's combat style. Brontes's preference for striking from unexpected angles gave him an unconventional edge over opponents more accustomed to direct confrontations.

"Boom! Rumble!"

As Brontes's fist surged towards Kaido's face, Kaido agilely evaded, causing the blow to land on his shoulder instead.

"Argh!"

Kaido, having foreseen this tactic, retaliated by swiftly swinging his arm, propelling Brontes away.

In that split second of Brontes being sent hurtling through the air, Kaido seized his kanabo from the ground with his spare hand, swiftly closing the distance to unleash a powerful strike towards Brontes.

"ZliZli!"

A crackling sound filled the air as Brontes transformed into lightning, vanishing mid-air, narrowly escaping the descending kanabo's impact.

"Boom!"

A thunderous boom reverberated as Kaido's weapon smashed into the ground with immense force, causing the earth to explode and shockwaves to ripple outward, shattering the terrain.

"I see you've enhanced your weapon, Kaido, with Seastone." Brontes said, reappearing before Kaido with a clenched fist ready to strike fiercely.

"Boom!"

Another resounding boom echoed as Kaido defiantly clashed his kanabo against Brontes's lightning fist.

Despite his efforts, Kaido felt a sense of disappointment that his strategy hadn't caught Brontes off guard as he had hoped.

Although Kaido had seemingly discarded his kanabo to suggest an unarmed confrontation, it was a calculated move.

His true intention was to catch Brontes off guard with the weapon, a revelation that only dawned on Brontes at the last possible moment.

Mixed with Seastone to counter Devil Fruit users like Brontes, Kaido's kanabo was a formidable weapon.

Despite losing his previous kanabo to the sea in his clash with Brontes, Kaido, commanding the resources of Wano Country, effortlessly commissioned the forging of a new weapon by skilled blacksmiths.

"ZliZli!"

"You resort to such underhanded tactics? Surprising, even for you. But don't strain yourself thinking too hard; it's not your forte, considering your lack of mental acuity." Brontes sneered, charging at Kaido with lightning fists.

"Rumble!"

"I will kill you!"

"Boom!"

As the intense battle unfolded, Kaido angrily cast aside his kanabo, fully committing to meeting Brontes's attack head-on with his own fist.

"Ha! ZliZli!"

The clash between them unleashed a torrent of lightning, engulfing the entire base in a dazzling display of electrical energy.

Instinctively tapping into their Conqueror's Haki, the clash transcended physical prowess and Devil Fruit abilities, delving deep into the clash of their unwavering wills.

"ZliZli! Rumble! ZliZli!"

Their formidable clash tore the very ground asunder, sending shockwaves reverberating through the base while the sea churned ferociously, raising massive waves.

The crackling lightning rifted through the water, jolting any fish unfortunate enough to emerge.

"Boom! ZliZli!"

Despite the relentless clash, Kaido staggered back briefly, mere centimeters, a subtle motion observed by a shocked Sakazuki.

Despite the clash appearing physical, Brontes managed to assert his dominance, forcing Kaido back.

"Damn it!" Kaido shouted, muscles straining as he sought to push Brontes back, but Brontes stood unyielding like a mountain.

Following Kaido's initial slide back, both combatants locked in a fierce stalemate, refusing to give an inch.

The brutal standoff tested their limits, resulting in a burst blood vessel on Kaido's arm, blood trickling from his scales.

Brontes was no better, blood was dripping from his mouth. Their monumental strength clashed, pushing both to their breaking points in a grueling contest of endurance.

"Back off!"

With a resounding impact, Brontes was eventually propelled backward by the explosive force unleashed by Kaido.

"Boom! Boom!"

The clash escalated, each thunderous boom marking the intensity of their struggle, as neither showed any inclination to yield in this fiercely fought battle.

Brontes and Kaido continued their intense battle, turning the base into a fierce battleground.

Brontes, with his terrifying speed, gained the upper hand, overpowering Kaido entirely.

.....

"Boom! ZliZli!"

The fight dragged on into the next day, with Brontes maintaining his dominance.

Despite Kaido's renowned strength in one-on-one combat, his remarkable recovery abilities meant that a prolonged battle could spell disaster for the G-1 Base, exceeding the duration of Brontes's clash with Whitebeard.

Brontes fought with some restraint, mindful of not causing excessive damage with his Devil Fruit powers. In contrast, Kaido showed no regard for the destruction around him, willing to lay waste to his own territory if needed.

As the battle escalated and the base suffered extensive damage, Sakazuki had to step in as the G-1 Base commander.

With Sakazuki joining forces with Brontes, even a powerful figure like Whitebeard would struggle, highlighting Kaido's overwhelming disadvantage in the battle.

"Damn it!"

"ZliZli!"

As Kaido lay weakened, his body pulsing with magma and crackling with lightning, Brontes swiftly picked him up, and  began dragging him towards the dock from his hand.

Sakazuki, witnessing this, asked about Brontes: "What do you plan to do?"

In a weary tone, Brontes replied: "I'm not sure yet."

"Why not just kill him?" Sakazuki pressed, curious about Brontes's next move.

Looking at Sakazuki, Brontes responded: "Are you certain we can even kill him?"

After a pause, Sakazuki realized he may have been overthinking the situation. Kaido's reputation as unkillable was well-known, with many failed attempts to bring him down.

Even throwing him into the sea, despite being a Devil Fruit user, proved fruitless.

Kaido, revered as the mightiest being on land, sea, and air, showed no fear of the ocean.

While the sea could weaken him, Brontes knew that absorbing Kaido's powers could lead to losing his abilities in water including his ability to swim, but not his formidable strength.
