The Moby Dick made it to the island, and a big reason for that was Whitebeard.

He didn't fully go on the attack while they were at sea, choosing to defend instead. This cautious approach from Whitebeard meant that Brontes had to hold back as well.

But once they landed on the island, everything changed. The bigger space on the island meant they could both fight freely, without holding anything back.

Although they both had different reasons, they ended up wanting the same thing: to dive into an all-out battle.

There weren't a lot of people living on the island, but those who did had already been moved to safety by Brontes's subordinates.

What's interesting is that Brontes knew about Marco's secret plans. He even overheard their conversations. Brontes had spent years getting really good at using his Observation Haki.

He got so good, in fact, that he could even pick up on things without meaning to. This skill was something he picked up while he was in Mariejois.

Listening in on others gave him a bit of a thrill at first, but after a while, it became a bit of a hassle. Still, eavesdropping turned into a daily habit for him.

When Brontes figured out that Marco and the others were heading for an island with the Moby Dick, he used his unique power to send messages using electromagnetic waves.

He contacted the Den Den Mushi on the warship directly and told his team to go check out the island ahead of time.

His main instruction was if there were any people there, they needed to be moved to safety quickly.

The reason was that their fight wasn't going to be small. They were dealing with massive forces like earthquakes and thunderstorms, and the area affected was going to be huge.

There was even a chance the island could break apart because of their fight.

The few people who lived on the island knew how scary Whitebeard could be. When they found out that Brontes was going to fight Whitebeard, their first thought was to get as far away as possible.

This reaction made things easier for the marines. If the island's residents had stayed, Brontes would have had to back off from the fight.

...

At the edge of the sea, Brontes took a dramatic step by removing his white coat and tossing it to the side.

"ZliZli!"

With a loud shout, lightning surged out of him, encircling him in a continuous dance of lightning.

As the lightning spread, it caused his hat to fall off and his usually short hair to spike up, giving him a look similar to that of a Super Saiyan from the Dragon Ball series.

"Kark!! Kark!!!"

Brontes prepared for battle, clenching his fists and getting into a combat stance. The sound of his knuckles and joints popping filled the air, a clear sign that he was ready to unleash his full power.

"Haah!"

Whitebeard, on the other hand, watched Brontes with a cool demeanor. He grabbed his large, spear-like weapon, the bisento, and skillfully spun it before charging towards Brontes with a all his might.

As he swung his bisento, it was enveloped in a transparent, white energy.

"Boom! Rumble!"

When Brontes's fist met Whitebeard's bisento, a loud explosion echoed.

Brontes wasn't one to rely on weapons; his true strength lay in his physical abilities, which is why Zed held him in such high regard.

Besides being a powerful Logia-type Devil Fruit user, Brontes never neglected his Haki training.

He was so dedicated that his body was constantly enveloped in Armament Haki, becoming as natural to him as breathing.

"Woosh!"

The clash sent shockwaves through the island, causing it to shake violently.

The Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power, channeled through Whitebeard's bisento, traveled into Brontes and from there into the ground, creating a web of cracks around him.

"Booom!"

Whitebeard, not holding back in the slightest, amplified the power on his bisento, pushing against Brontes with overwhelming force.

Whitebeard's strength was legendary; those who had witnessed the Summit War knew he could halt a ship with just one hand.

Now facing Brontes, a formidable opponent, Whitebeard unleashed his full might.

"Rumble!"

The island trembled under their power, the sea churned with waves, and the Moby Dick rocked on the turbulent waters.

Marco and the others, despite their eagerness to assist, knew better than to intervene in such a titanic battle, where the mere shockwaves could be lethal.

"Thor's Enhancement!"

Brontes, deciding to no longer hold back, tapped into the deepest reserves of his power.

As Brontes infused his Armament Haki into the tattoos adorning his body, they transformed, resembling dragon scales. Yet, surprisingly, they showed no visible Haki aura and looked like ordinary, albeit impressive, tattoos.

"Indeed, your body..." Whitebeard observed the prominent muscles and tattoos on Brontes, hinting at an unusual aspect of Brontes's physique.

"Roar!"

With a roar reminiscent of a dragon, Brontes unleashed a powerful burst of Conqueror's Haki, echoing across the battlefield.

"Woosh! Boom!"

The force of his release was so intense that it caused the ground itself to crack and explode outward from Brontes in all directions, reminiscent of Kaido's iconic entrance.

However, while Kaido's power manifested in orderly, separate explosions, Brontes's was a singular, massive wave of destruction.

Above, the clouds swirled into a vortex, lightning snaking through them like dragons, as if nature itself was responding to Brontes's fury.

"Boom! Rumble!"

Brontes's unleashed power made him appear as a wrathful dragon awakened from sleep, his fury tangible.

"H-How is this possible?!"

Marco and the crew clung to the ship's edge amidst the tumultuous sea, awestruck by the scene before them.

For the first time, they witnessed someone overpower Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit abilities with physical power.

"Whitebeard! Come, let's fight!"

Brontes, fuelled by excitement, launched another punch towards Whitebeard.

"Grurururu!"

Whitebeard responded with a hearty laugh, discarding his bisento and preparing to meet Brontes's challenge with his fists.

"Boom! Rumble!"

Their fists collided with such force that they created a buffer of air between them, a testament to the immense power both warriors wielded, shaped by Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit.

"ZliZli!!"

Brontes, undeterred, targeted the quake bubble around Whitebeard's fist with another electrifying strike, his body bursting with fearsome lightning.

"Just like Kaido..."

Whitebeard remarked, observing the lightning encasing Brontes's fists.

The battle's intensity escalated, with each impact causing the ground beneath them to sink, while behind them, the land bulged from the sheer force of their clash.

The island trembled, its very foundation cracking open, as if the world itself was bearing witness to their power.

"Boom!!"

Whitebeard, despite his injuries, swung his seriously injured left arm at Brontes. Brontes met the attack head-on, raising his arm in defense.

Their arms clashed with the force of titans, sending shockwaves through the island, pushing back the sea itself.

....

Meanwhile, far from the chaos, Big Mom watched intently from Cake Island, her reaction one of shock. "What's wrong, Mama?" Perospero inquired, with Katakuri and the others looking towards her, concern etched on their faces.

Eyes wide, voice trembling, Big Mom could hardly believe what she was seeing.

"Don't you think that bastard looks very similar to Kaido at this moment?!" She exclaimed.

Her words left the Charlotte family members in disbelief.

Sitting back down, deep in thought, Big Mom added: "You haven't fought him, but I have. I know him too well to be mistaken. The power that bastard is using right now is just like Kaido's."

Perospero was confused: "Similar to Kaido, how can that be? Kaido is a Zoan type Devil Fruit user, right? Ragnarok is a Logia type, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit user. How could they have the same ability?"

Big Mom responded as she pointed at the screen: "Haven't you noticed the tattoos on his body?"

She observed, focusing on the image of Brontes battling Whitebeard.

"Tattoos? Ah, indeed, there's something odd about them, they look like dragon scales, just like Kaido's." Katakuri acknowledged, taking a closer look and realizing the peculiar resemblance.

Big Mom's insights drew a direct line between Brontes's newfound strength and his peculiar tattoos.

"Last time I fought him, his left arm, adorned with dragon scale tattoos, displayed a strength unlike the rest of his body. It was an anomaly that caught my attention during our battle in Totto Land. Back then, the tattoos were only on his arm, but now, they cover his entire body. If these tattoos indeed correlate with his strength, it suggests his power is no longer confined to just one arm." She mused thoughtfully.

"But what does this have to do with Kaido?" Perospero asked in confusion.

Big Mom's next revelation was startling: "The real issue here is that he's using his left arm as if it was never broken by Whitebeard earlier in their fight. Look closely, and you'll notice it's fully healed. Such remarkable healing mid-battle—is that something we'd expect from a Logia type Devil Fruit user?"

Perospero and others were stunned: "No way! Mama, are you suggesting…"

"Yes." Big Mom affirmed: "He must possess a recovery ability akin to Kaido's. It's the only explanation for why he hasn't aged like the rest of people, why he appears so much younger compared to peers. Such vitality is typical of Zoan type Devil Fruit users, but for him, a Logia...? It's unheard of. Not even Garp or Whitebeard possess such regenerative capabilities..."

The Charlotte family was left in disbelief, grappling with the implications of Big Mom's observations. The revelation that Brontes might possess a power resembling that of a Zoan type, despite being a known Logia type user, challenged their understanding of Devil Fruit abilities and hinted at a mystery far deeper than they had anticipated.
