17 Chapter 17: Dealing Krieg Pirates

As soon as the words fell, it was as if an invisible hand gripped everyone's throat, preventing them from making any sound. 

The whole place fell silent. 

The previously confident demeanor of everyone vanished without a trace, leaving no semblance of East Blue's mightiest pirate crew. 

It was like a newly lit fire extinguished in an instant by a downpour.

Marine Ensign, Byakuya. Despite his rank as an ensign, the deeds he accomplished were beyond what even a Marine Captain could achieve. 

This name, within half a month, swept through the entire East Blue like a storm. 

First, the Blood Wolf with a bounty of 15 million Berries fell to his hands.

Following that were the Alvida Pirates with a bounty of 5 million Berries. 

The Arlong Pirates with a total bounty of 35 million Berries.

Even the Black Cat Pirates, missing from the East Blue for years with a total bounty of 32 million Berries, were found and killed by Marine Ensign Byakuya.

As for the other pirate crews, one after another fell. Almost none encountered Byakuya and lived to tell the tale. 

This led to fewer and fewer rookie pirates venturing into the East Blue in the past half-month, too frightened to set sail. 

Even the veteran pirate crews avoided encounters with Byakuya to prevent disaster.

"Who are you? How dare you come here causing trouble? Don't you know we're from the Krieg Pirates?" 

"Who am I? Weren't you just discussing me?" Byakuya sneered, 

"I do know you're from the Krieg Pirates, that's why I'm here!"

At this point, the pirate's presence couldn't be any clearer. 

The young man before them was the person they had just discussed. Marine Ensign, Byakuya. 

The man who sent chills down the spine of every pirate in the East Blue! 

Though they were afraid when talking about Byakuya earlier, it hadn't reached the level of extreme fear.

After all, one won't experience the fear of imminent death until the blade is placed at their throat. 

But now, the blade was indeed at their necks. People have reputations, and actions cast shadows. 

Gin didn't doubt Byakuya's strength one bit, especially now, at a critical moment for the Krieg Pirates. 

Useless battles like this should be avoided whenever possible.

He didn't want to stir up trouble at this moment, causing problems for Captain Krieg. So, Gin asked quite sincerely,

Byakuya waved his hand, "Don't amuse me anymore. Based on your previous question, your Krieg Pirates have a lot to answer for!" 

"I'm a Marine, you're a pirate. Why do you think I'm looking for you?" 

"With your intelligence, it's no wonder you didn't last long in the anime."

Hearing Byakuya's response, Gin was taken aback. 

Although Byakuya held the title of Marine Ensign, they had never seen an ensign capable of wreaking havoc in the East Blue. 

So, they subconsciously ignored the word 'Marine' that best represented Byakuya's identity.

Gin brandished his weapon, a cudgel with iron balls on both ends, gritted his teeth, and said, 

"Since you insist on seeking death, then I won't stop you!" 

"Everyone, attack!" With such a close distance, the pirates present all grabbed their weapons and rushed forward. 

Byakuya donned his gloves and shook his head.

Gin quickly approached Byakuya, raising the iron cudgel high and smashing it down fiercely! 

"I'll make you understand what happens when you mess with the Krieg Pirates!" 

Gin's face twisted in ferocity. Byakuya met Gin's fierce gaze and chuckled, "The outcome is the Krieg Pirates' demise."

With a slight wave of his right hand, the sound of bones breaking suddenly rang out. 

Gin grimaced in pain, screamed, and couldn't even grip the iron cudgel in his hand, which fell to the ground. 

"My arms..." 

Gin looked in horror at his limp arms, bones shattered, unable to exert any strength.

"I'll spare your life for now. There are things I want to ask you later," Byakuya said lightly. 

With his words, most of the pirates had died at Byakuya's hands. Each strike of his fists would end several lives. 

From the moment the pirates rushed towards Byakuya to the frantic scramble to escape, it took less than three seconds.

"This guy isn't human at all, he's a monster!" 

"Run quickly, I don't want to die here!" 

"Split up and run, he can't possibly kill all of us at the same time." The pirates wished they had a few extra legs to flee from the devil.

Watching the scattered figures of the pirates fleeing, Byakuya sighed lightly, 

"Alas, after finishing this job, I'll quickly exchange for some subordinates. Doing everything oneself is truly exhausting." 

Under Byakuya's precise control, except for Gin, three other pirates were spared.

Knowing they couldn't escape, the three pirates all knelt before Byakuya, repeatedly kowtowing and begging for mercy, 

"Lord Byakuya, please spare us!" 

"We're just small fries from the Krieg Pirates, we don't know anything!"

"Gin is the captain of the Krieg Pirates, he knows more than us..." To save their lives, the third pirate immediately sold out Gin.
