16 Gamble

"So, Yamato, just how strong is Sora?" Luffy asked with a look of interest. Although he was lost not too long ago, Luffy managed to use his devil fruit which turned him into a rubber man, to stretch his body onto the ship. 

"Sora says he is number one, but I'm not sure if thats his pride speaking or not. But what I do know is that he could fight for the title of the world's strongest and win." Yamato said with a shrug, before turning around towards Ace who landed on the ship while holding his hat.

"I highly doubt Sora is a match for Pops," Ace said with a smile, to which Yamato smirked.

"Be it in numbers or strength. Sora would destroy Whitebeard. they had a small clash a few years ago, while the big guy is growing weaker, Sora is getting stronger." Yamato said with a shake of his head, to which Ace snorted lightly, but he changed the subject as now wasn't time for such things.

Instead, he went on to introduce himself to Luffy's crew, which left them all crying at the difference between the two. Luffy was a guy who only cared for his stomach, yet look at this guy who was the complete opposite of Luffy.

"Wait, are we not leaving behind Sora?" Sanji asked, his mother was named Sora, so a part of him wanted to meet Luffy's elder brother.

"Don't worry about him, he would show up when he feels like it," Yamato said with a slightly gentler voice than when speaking to others, which a few people caught onto, Sanji being one of them. which caused his heart to start racing, but before his pervertedness could show, everyone's attention was drawn to the sea where ships were heading towards them.

It wasn't from Marines, but from pirates that belonged to Baroque Works, they were just about to get ready to flee, when a beam of blue light rained from the heavens. Like wrath from god, the ships were destroyed, and turned to dust, while leaving a huge hole in the sea. the water moved to fill up the hole and at the same time, countless dead fishes which were electrified to death appeared on the surface.

Everyone froze at such a scene, that level of destruction sent chills down them all. Be it Luffy, or even Ace. everyone was quiet with unease as they knew if such an attack was aimed at them, they were sure to die...

"Let's get going," Yamato was the first to look up, where I floated with my hands in my pocket. Everyone's eyes landed on me, shocked by my capability. Yamato jumped up and fell into my arms for a princess carry, which caused me to glare at her.

"What? You still have to treat me like a princess on our date." Yamato said with a smile, My eyes narrowed while looking at her, before ignoring her to look at everyone down below.

"Judge boy... interesting," I said while looking at Sanji, Sanji who was heartbroken seeing Yamato jump into the arms of someone, instantly became serious hearing my words

"Well, I will leave you all to play your pirate games," I said while me and Yamato turned into a bolt of lightning that disappeared

"We not playing Pirate!" Luffy said enraged by my words, but it was too late as I was far gone.

"Sanji are you alright?" Nami asked seeing Sanji's downcast look, Sanji just nodded while smoking to the side, trying to cool his mind...

The Arabasta Kingdom is a desert kingdom in Paradise, Yamato and I headed towards Rainbase. Rainbase is one of the few thriving towns left. The casino, Rain Dinners is here, and under it is Crocodile's base. A pyramid-shaped building, it seems like a normal casino and acts as one. Behind the scenes, Crocodile was secretly scheming against the King.

At the moment, I sat at a table, while opposite me, a beautiful woman whom many would know as the demon child sat while looking at me with a cold look

"You're not still upset that I rejected you to join my crew right?" I asked to which she just glared at me, having nothing to say.

"I rejected you because it felt wrong to steal from the future pirate king. With me, you wouldn't have joined a new family. you would have just been a tool I would have used to destroy the world government." I said calmly

"Yet thats what I wanted!" She yelled while slamming the table and getting up to glare at me.

"I have the skills. I could help you," She said to which I shook my head. Sighing, I looked at Robin for some time. we met a few years ago when she was on the run, she had used her devil fruit to ear drop on me and Shiki talking, leading to her showing herself upon hearing we wanted to destroy the government. I had rejected her, but she wanted to join me at all costs, I just told her to join the future Pirate King crew

"You could, but your help is more important elsewhere. Join the future Pirate King crew, and find out about the void century. I'm not out searching for the Poneglyphs, he would. He would give you a place to call home. Trust me, I know because I had some clues of what would happen in the future." I said stunning Robin

"The person who would defeat your boss is the pirate king. if no one defeats him, I will come to take you away. deal?" I asked while holding out my palm, Robin looked at it and although unsure, she still shook my hand, but she was caught off guard as I pulled her into my arms

"So... just who do you think you are to yell at me," I asked while holding her chin, but at that moment, sand gathered from out of nowhere before it shot towards me. But I smoothly dodged it, with Robin still in my hands.

"Put her down..." Crocodile who had been secretly watching everything said with a deep rage in his eyes while glaring at me. I shrugged while letting Robin go, who stepped away from what could be a clash between me and Crocodile.

"Leave!" Crocodile said coldly, to which Robin wasted no time and left. I on the other hand sat back, while picking up the sand to study.

"So, should I call you Dad now?" I asked making Crocodile's face turn colder and colder at my words.

"No need to worry, I came here to also see you. Dad has been looking for you for some time now... you know what, I wonder if I should tell..." My words were cut midway by a blade of send which cut me in half, but at the part I was cut, lightning gathered which put my body back together.

"You seem to have lost your Haki. After your fight with Whitebeard, it looks like you just gave up and turned to searching for that weapon... how sad." I said while standing up,

"How did you know? Ivankov promised he would never say a word," Crocodile asked coldly,

"how couldn't I know my mother? I put the pieces together when you and Dad were fighting over the fact he turned gay. so you turned yourself into a guy to be with him, although I'm confused as to why you're searching for that ancient weapon." I said with a shake of my head. There were a total of 3 ancient weapons. 

The Ancient Weapons are three weapons capable of mass destruction, each taking a different form. They are known as Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus, each named after a deity for their godly powers.

The weapon Crocodile was after was called Pluton. Crocodile needed Robin, who was the only person who could read the Poneglyph, which would tell him where it was located. The Poneglyphs are large, mysterious steles with historical knowledge inscribed on them in an ancient script. They are scattered among the islands across the world, and it is said that the only person left in the world who can read them is Nico Robin.

So, with this, one can understand just how important Robin was to this world. To be the pirate king, you must be extremely lucky to stumble upon Laugh Tale or to have someone who can read the Poneglyph.

I already knew what some of the Ancient weapons could be, I believed their names hinted greatly at their names and capability. Plus, I couldn't help but think about Water 7. In the anime, I remember how that place has been flooding lately due to the sea levels increasing.

This was caused by the world government, which had created a powerful weapon called the Mother Flame. The Mother Flame can somehow be weaponized or used in a weapon capable of vaporizing entire islands in an instant by firing a rain of lasers down onto its target. Once the annihilation is complete, no trace of the target is shown to remain.

The aftereffects of its power led to a gigantic hole in the sea where its target used to be, which showed no signs of filling up anytime soon, resulting in a global scale earthquake and the sea level rose by one meter, causing a majority of islands to have their shores swallowed by the rising tide and some being fully submerged.

But there was a huge problem with this powerful weapon, it needed power. So the world government has tried to get their hands on Pluton blueprints which were at Water 7, but the blueprints were destroyed. The world government can't just keep using the Mother Flame over and over, but once they have the power to do so, then one of the keys for the world to end would be met. Of course, this is just my theory

"Don't tell him..." Crocodile said to which I just nodded while getting up to leave

"Have you seen your little brother? What is his name?" Crocodile asked softly, to which I shrugged slightly.

"You should have stayed if you wanted to know, go ask the old man." Saying this I left, leaving Crocodile's face dark. but he said nothing while simply smoking a cigarette... why was he looking for Pluton? it was to destroy the world government, so what if Arabasta suffered? were they not allied with the World Government? Only a fool feels pity for their enemies.

"What?" I asked Robin who was looking at me with a weird look, she had expected a fight, she had even wanted to make ears appear within the room so she could ear drop, but every time she tried, her ears felt electricity before they were destroyed.

She ate the Flower Flower fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to replicate and sprout pieces of their body from the surface of any object or living thing. She could grow all types of body parts, 

"How did you know my actions? and why does it seem like you and Crocodile know each other?" She asked to which I just shrugged lightly,

"You know I can't just give you such important information... how about you spend a night with me?" I asked stunning Robin as that was random and out of the blue. But her face quickly twisted in rage, why on earth would she even think of saying yes?

"Are you not even curious as to how I know the future and stuff?" I asked to which Robin rolled her eyes,

"You haven't even proven it, and you expect me to believe you?" I said, saying the words she was just about to say, causing her to freeze unable to say a word for a second.

"That could have been a simple guess... h-how are you doing that?" I continued speaking, causing Robin to take a step back not knowing how I was doing all of that.

"it's one of the reasons I let you go, You think I didn't know where the Poneglyphs were? I have a good amount of them in my hands, they are sitting there waiting for the person they are fated for." I said while Robin looked at me for some time

"Fine, you can see the future... but why should I sleep with you?" She asked calmly, to which I shrugged before telling her the condition of being my wife, which made Robin's eyes twitch as she never heard anything so stupid, and didn't know when she said anything about marrying me.

"No need to get too upset, a simple no is good enough. Anyway, I'm not so heartless and I understand I seem to have come off as a jerk to you. How about a favor on top of that, from me going to the Marines HQ to cause trouble, from me going on to tell you something of the future..." I said with a smile, making Robin go quiet for a moment.

"Why are you so serious about getting a wife?" Robin asked to which I just had her follow me while I went for a walk.

"Well, I'm immortal. I figured it out a few years ago. Unlike others whose cells slowly grow weaker with age, mine grow stronger. I will never age past my prime, I have the power to gift this to someone else through sex. So, if our bond is strong, we both love each other, and our sex life is good... well, you get the point." I said causing Robin to go quiet as she didn't expect this.

"Immortality sounds cool and all, but over time one gets bored. Yes, my mind would adapt with the long years, but still. it would be sad seeing everyone you knew long dead." I said calmly,

"thats another reason for me to say no," Robin said with a shake of her head, she wasn't even sure if she wanted to live, much less be immortal.

"the destruction of your home had nothing to do with you, you do understand the world government fears the truth of the past coming out right? Let me tell you a secret of this world..." I said going on to tell her a few secrets of this world which shook Robin. how could she not be shocked hearing the world government was going to drown the world?

"I don't know why and I don't really care... so, why do you blame yourself for their death? you're the last key to save this world, the last thing reminding this world that their hard work was not pointless. If you die, the world will most likely follow you. In other words, the demon child holds the fate of the world at her hands." I said shocking Robin who didn't know what to say, she opened and closed her mouth, tears slowly falling down her eyes.

10 years ago, Robin Island was destroyed by the Marines. It was bombed from head to toe, everyone was killed that day, and the only one to survive was Robin. Adding the fact she was called the Demon Child all her life, a part of her wondered if she even deserved to live.

"You have to remember, your mother did tell you to live your life to the fullest... Another reason you belong to their crew and not mine. I can't give you the life that was taken from you due to my current goal to destroy the world government, but I do know someone who would give you that." I said while holding out my palm, to which she shook while in tears.

"Forget the whole sleeping together thing, don't gamble your life away, as I will not be here to save you if things go downhill," I said calmly

"Who is the future pirate king?" Robin asked softly,

"I don't know, I can't see that far," I said with a shrug, making Robin's eye twitch slightly. She looked at me, to which I just looked at her with an innocent look.

"What, I put my faith in someone who could be the future Pirate king. As you have seen, the future can change. The future pirate king would need a lot of support and will come back from the blink of death countless times, who knows, maybe one day he will not come back. It is a gamble, follow your heart." I said with a smile. to which Robin sighed, but nodded in understanding... her mind couldn't help but wander towards Luffy, before shaking her head, there was no way he could defeat Crocodile.

"Oh, you're not allowed to die. although I do know of someone else who could read those things, I like you better. If You die, I will boil 5,000 cute animals alive." I said calmly while throwing Robin a paper that held my contacts

"Y-you wouldn't dare," Robin said in horror that I would even think of doing something like that.

"Just stay alive, I don't want to have to scare you to do so... but I feel like you're stupid, you might do something stupid like sacrificing yourself for others. Don't." I said while removing her tears,

"Will you live?" I asked while holding out my palm once more, Robin nodded lightly while taking my hand.

"Thank you... just call me if things ever turn out for the worst and you see no hope. I will come as soon as I can. I'm one of the fastest people alive, so even if you're on the other side of the world I would be there in less than 30 seconds." I said to which Robin's eyebrow raised at such words. but although she didn't truly believe them, she nodded...
