8 Father

The first half of the Grand Line, colloquially referred to as Paradise, stretches from the Twin Cape to Mary Geoise. Its name, Paradise, comes from people that have returned from the New World; the second half of the Grand Line is a whole "new world" of adventures beyond anything that one might face in the first half, it is such an abhorrent challenge that the first half of the Grand Line is referred to as "Paradise" when comparing it to the second half.

Twin Cape is located at the bottom of Reverse Mountain, at the exit that leads into Paradise. The area is located precisely where the Red Line and the Grand Line meet. From here, sailors can choose one of the seven routes of the Grand Line by waiting for the Log Pose to set on the desired one.

The Holy Land Mary Geoise is the capital of the World Government where its top brass reside and govern, the God's Knights have jurisdiction, and where the Celestial Dragons reside. It also hosts the Levely, a council of royalty from various World Government-affiliated nations that is in session every four years.

Merveille, also known as the "Hidden Land in the Clouds", is a hidden archipelago of floating isles in Paradise and served as the base of operations for the Golden Lion Pirates... well, now known as the Sun Pirates. For ages, Shiki didn't simply stay up here doing nothing. no, he was working on creating many mutated animals in the hopes of having an army to overthrow the world. This was also a key reason for Shiki's strength dropping.

Merveille held many islands, they were not the biggest of islands, but the fact many of them were big enough to hold mountains was a hint to how big these islands were... and a hint to how capable Devil Fruits were.

The islands were all heading toward Whole Cake Island. Whole Cake Island is a New World island under the control of Big Mom, by the name of the island, and her title is Big Mom, you can guess Big Mom's figure.

It took some time for the island to appear above Whole Cake Island, catching the countless people who lived down below. Quickly, everyone stepped outside, looking at the islands with serious looks, and among them was a Big Mom who was in her 50s.

"Shiki..." Big Mom said with narrowed eyes, years back, almost all of the 4 emperors were a part of one crew, a crew known as the Rocks Pirate. Led by Rocks D. Xebec, a man who needed both Garp and the Pirate King to team up to defeat, one could guess just how powerful this pirate crew was.

"Charlotte Linlin, it's been ages," Shiki said with a smile while floating down, with me calmly standing on top of the sun, looking around the island before my eyes landed on the fat giant whose eyes were on me.

"Money D. Sora, what is Dragon brat doing here." Big Mom asked with a sneer. It seemed like my bounty had even hit the ears of the emperor then again it was made clear who was my father and my so-called goals.

"I wanted to see if you and I can work together, something like putting bounties on the heads of Marines," I said stunning Big Mom who for a moment couldn't say anything, she looked at me in shock before she burst out laughing.

"Ma Ma Ma Ma!" She had a unique laugh which made me wonder if she got the laugh after being a mom, or if she was laughing like that all her life.

"Like father like son. you two brats truly know how to make that old man Garp proud... but what makes you think you're worthy of working with me." Big Mom said while her eyes locked onto mine.

"Don't make me beat your ass and make you join my pirate crew... but now that I think about it, why not? Join my pirate crew." I said with a smile, making Shiki who was calmly watching all of this frown. he knew he was currently no match for someone like Big Mom, he had grown too weak of late. although after joining my crew his Haki has begun to recover, he needed more time for his Haki to touch upon its former peak.

"Let's go somewhere and fight... I don't want to destroy the land which would be mine soon." I said with a smile, Big Mom's smile was nowhere to be seen, her cold glare was fully locked on me.

I didn't wait for her to say a thing and just flew off towards an empty spot on the island, Big Mom enraged reached into the sky, and called upon Prometheus, from afar, a sun shot over while exploding into a ball of flames, which Big Mom jumped on and shot after me with killing intent... how can she not be enraged when all I did was bring her flashbacks to the time she was forced to join the Rocks Pirates.

I wasn't shocked by Big Mom's ability, after all, I got the idea of riding the sun from her. Big Mom ate the Soul Soul fruit Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to interact with and manipulate souls. As the queen of Totto Land, Big Mom has imposed a toll on her citizens, forcing them to give up a month's worth of their soul every six months or leave. Those soul fragments are collected by her Incarnations and sprinkled all over Totto Land, where they settle into random objects or animals to turn them into homies.

Homies are a race of objects, foods, and animals that have been anthropomorphized by the soul-soul fruit. This Devil Fruit allows the user to infuse the shards of a human's soul into animals, plants, and inanimate objects, giving them sentience and the ability to talk and behave like humans. 

Prometheus the Sun is a sun homie that Big Mom summons from her right hand.[He is a special kind of homie, as he received a soul fragment from Big Mom herself, and serves as one of her weapons alongside Napoleon and Zeus. Although I was sure she used Zeus to travel more than Prometheus.

'I will have to go all out... I wonder if I'm her match?' I thought calmly, this wasn't Shiki who was in a weakened state. Big Mom was a monster, who even Garp would need to go all out to fight.

A cloud appeared within Big Mom's hands, which turned into a storm cloud, and as Big Mom's hand shot forward, a huge lightning bolt shot toward me, and I turned to meet with my Dragon Claw. My body heat exploded to its limits, while my armament Haki covered my dragon claws,

I let out a roar as I had the sun under me spin, allowing me to spin around while holding the lightning bolt and sending it back toward Big Mom. Big Mom was not expecting this and was hit by her attack, sending her falling off Prometheus, she landed heavily on the ground, sending dust clouds into the sky.

I looked toward Big Mom before looking at my arms which were shaking from the shock I just felt, but if one could see my cells, they would see them absorbing the remaining energy that lightning bolt left in my body,

'I even absorb lightning? it's just that lightning is too deadly for my cells to absorb, they quickly overload. luckily, they died before they could cause a chain reaction. so no risk for cancer.' I thought., I took a deep breath to stabilize my mind, before looking towards Big Mom whose conqueror Haki was madly spilling out. She was truly enraged now.

Big Mom stepped out of the dust cloud, her hat was now a sword which she used to slash towards me. didn't disappoint and shot forward, suns exploded on my fist before I covered them in armament Haki and went on to clash with the sword. Our clashes created shock waves that were felt across the whole island, and the clash of our Conqueror Haki split the sky while knocking out everyone on the island.

Blood shot into the sky while I was sent shooting backward, I quickly stabbed my foot into the ground to stop myself, before looking at my dragon claw, where A huge cut was, not to the bone, but her attack power was far greater than Shiki.

'Her Haki is stronger than mine? Then Let me strengthen it.' I thought before shooting back toward Big Mom who was also shooting toward me, with Prometheus and Zeus supporting her, it was pretty much a 1 v 4, but I didn't care as I fought Big Mom.

As we fought, I picked up on their fighting style, but I ignored it while fighting them head-on, trying my best to open up my mind so I could gain future sight. What was the best way to strengthen your Haki? it was threw battles, fighting the strong, and having your Haki and theirs clash with each other that would temper and strengthen your spirit in return. this was just what I needed.

With how fast my mind worked, it took a few hours of fighting, but I was soon able to use Observation Haki to foresee hints into the future. As the fight went on, this was only improved more and more. at first, I could barely see 0.1 seconds into the future, which was small for normal humans, but for people like us who fight at speeds above even the speed of light, what was 0.1 seconds?

And yes, light speed. What do you think the speed of someone who eats the Light Light Fruit would be? Of course, at light speed, Big Mom although not fast enough to outrun such a person, she could catch said person within her attack speed, and I was slightly faster than Big Mom.

After hours of fighting, I was able to expand upon my future sight to 0.5 seconds. which was more than enough to allow me to avoid all of Big Mom's attacks, so I put it to the side and began to start working on my Armament Haki. Big Mom for someone so big had a lot of stamina and easily was able to fight for days.

Even when nighttime came, she was still fighting me without any hint of getting slower. when the sun came up, we continued to fight, until finally, I punched forward, My armament Haki seemed to split apart from my body, and slam into Big Mom, causing her to take countless steps backward.

Big Mom's face twisted in rage before she shot towards me, and our clash continued, but after 3 punches I was able to do Emission again, shooting my Haki out, but the more I punched, the easier it got for me to do this. after all, my mind was super sharp, easily able to hold on to that feeling and allowing me to be able to easily do it again, after a few minutes, I was able to do it with great ease before I tried to have that Haki I was shooting out to stay around my fist, before I tried to send it into Big Mom Body, bypassing her crazy level of durability.

all this time we were fighting, I had yet to land any real damage to big Mom, she tanked everything without getting a single scratch, meanwhile I was covered from head to towards in blood.

Hours passed, and with each hour that passed Big Mom seemed to lose her mind, she grew skinnier. Big Mom normally has to eat within 8 hours or else she goes into some hunger rampage where she destroys everything without a care. In this state, she was dangerous and this was the big Mom I was fighting right now. She had lost her mind a few hours after we started fighting, which sadly made her attacks easier to read.

The fight continued, and soon Big Mom found herself suffering some damage, as Haki bypassed her overpowered durability and hit her organs, destroying her from the inside out, she couldn't help but scream in pain while using her Haki to fight against my haki to lessen the damage, but my punches kept raining, and she found herself quickly falling backward while her blood flew all over the place. she was given no time to fight back, no time to do anything, but simply retreat, from the countless blows. the pain had brought her back to reality, but even reason wasn't enough for her to change the bad position she found herself in, 

As the blows rained, she grew weaker and weaker until all she could do was lay on the ground, covering her face to lessen any damage she might take, but all she got was my foot stepping on her chest while I coldly looked at her.

"Do you surrender?" I asked calmly, Big Mom looked at me in rage. Seeing that I didn't wait for her to say anything. And yes I was bigger at the moment, I didn't know how or when, but at some point my size had grown, allowing me to be bigger than Big Mom. the way she was looking down on me was annoying me, so I seemed to just grow

"Then you would be my captive until you surrender, you will not eat anything but basic prison food. 3 meals a day, with all of them being a reasonable amount for a giant... Shiki, take her away." I said calmly, to which Shiki flew over, and looked at the condition Big Mom was in. When was the last time he saw Big Mom be injured? even in the Rocks Pirates, it was rare, yet he was looking at a bloody Big Mom, who couldn't even channel Haki to defend against his Devil Fruit.

"Mother!" to say the least, the Big Mom Pirate crew wouldn't allow this. they were not able to join the battle due to the scale of it, just look around me, everything was destroyed for miles, and Big Mom Pirate crew was mostly Big Mom's children. they still needed time to grow

"As of this moment, Big Mom Pirate crew is under the Sun Pirate. I'm pretty sure we had a fair duel, she lost. I will take her away, no one has ever told her no and taught her anything. The next time you see your mother, she will be completely different, both mentally and physically." I said calmly 

"We will not let you take our mother away." Big Mom's eldest son, Charlotte Perospero said through gritted teeth.

"You seem not to understand your place... I'm your Father now." I said while walking towards him, My conqueror Haki sent all of them stumbling backward.

"I will not harm your mother, but show you can't obey and I will destroy you all. Remember, all of you are weak, nothing without your mother's protection. I'm your new protection, do you understand your place at the moment?" I asked while Perospero gritted his teeth, and with slight tears in his eyes, he nodded unwillingly.

"Good, there is a new power at sea... not an emperor, but a sovereign... but to you all, I'm what?" I said while my size began to shrink, returning me to normal, although since my body heat wasn't spread out across my giant body, it instead meant it was focused, causing the air to boil.

"F-father," Perospero said in a shaky voice, this had to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but for his mother's and sibling's sake, what could he do but lower his head?
