Chapter 91: The World In Silence

The World Noble was dead, but no one could believe it, not the guards, not the kneeling individuals, not one of the strongest pirates in the world, or a former pirate. The World was silent.

The fiery figure burst into flames that died down a second later without harming anyone, but he vanished, leaving only burning traces behind.

The World was in silence for no one reacted for what felt like hours. No one moved. Not one even flinched. The World was simply frozen in time.

It took more than a dozen minutes for someone to finally move, literally. The remaining World Noble fell back on his butt with a thud, screeching sounds leaving his mouth as he started crying. Well, it was more like wailing his lungs out in fear.

That wailing was the only sound heard that day because the World was in silence. The news spread out very quickly, and it spread out throughout the world.

The World government couldn't stop the information from spreading because some individuals made sure it becomes known.

It was not only Morgans, it was someone moving in the dark, a direct enemy of the World Government. It was the Revolutionary Army, an extremely powerful military organization, founded and led by Monkey D. Dragon.

They are the only force in the world that directly opposes the World Government and seek to dismantle it. They are particularly against the World Nobles of Mary Geoise who control and benefit from the corruption of the World Government.

So was it any surprise that they would want to spread the news? In fact, things were becoming much more complicated by the second.

"Apollo of the Pantheon. He was commissioned for the death of a World Noble for three billion Beli. He was also the one who saved the former Warlord, Crocodile."

As he spoke with a grave expression, Sengoku showed a black paper to a screen projected before him. It was dark, but those on the other side could hear and see him.

"The Pantheon: Apollo: Target: Any World Noble: Price: Three Billion Beli." A voice was heard, coming from the Den Den Mushi. Whoever Sengoku was having a meeting with repeated what was written on the paper.

"There is only one force I can think of that would risk giving out such a task... The Revolutionary Army." A different voice came from the Den Den Mushi, making it clear that there are multiple individuals on the other side.

"I want him dead, all of them. Whatever the Pantheon is, I want it to be exterminated." Another voice sounded, this one seeming a bit more emotional.

"The Pirates will see this as an opportunity to spread chaos and to rebel, so our top priority is catching... Killing Apollo as soon as possible. Sengoku, you'll be granted six billion Beli. Use it as you wish to do the job." Someone else said.

Sengoku nodded, knowing the seriousness of the matter, "Three Billion Beli for Apollo's head, and three Billion Beli for any valuable information regarding him or the Pantheon, information that can help exterminate them."

The Solemn meeting soon ended, and another started, this time with Sengoku and the other Admirals.

"Apollo is most certainly a Devil Fruit user, likely a fire Logia, but..." Sengoku stated with an odd look.

"But one of Whitebeard's commanders is a fire Logia, Portgas D. Ace." Aokiji continued in his stead.

"He's someone we're already looking for and we should apprehend him as soon as possible, but I don't think he's Apollo. I think Apollo is likely a Mythical Zoan user that can control fire in some way." Sengoku stated.

"I will go after him. I will catch him alive if I can... To make an example out of him." Admiral Akainu said with deeply buried emotions hidden in his eyes.

Sengoku nodded before continuing, "Also, look through the Stranger's crew. See if someone in his crew has such power. It's definitely not him, but there is a small chance it's someone in his crew, especially after his appearance in the incident location.

But no matter the results, I was told to increase his bounty to 1.5 Billion Beli. Our main focus, however, is the Pantheon as well as quelling the chaos that will surely arise due to the incident."

The discussion went on for a while, and the end result was three bounty posters that reached everyone throughout the World.

Bar none, everyone that saw the news and the bounties was silent. It was truly a day of silence.

Only those at the very top could utter some words. Whitebeard, the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, widely known as the Strongest Man in the World and, after Gol D. Roger's death, the Man Closest to One Piece.

"The coming days will be nothing but chaos because the World will witness a new era, one even I didn't see coming... Get Ace back here at all costs!!"

He seemingly predicted the Marines' actions and goals with just those posters, or perhaps he knows the chaos that will fall upon the World!!

The Whitebeard is after all one of the Four Emperors which make up one of the Three Great Powers, the World Government, the Marines, and the Four Emperors.

They are a group of four pirates considered to be the most notorious and powerful captains in the world.

Another of the Emperors had a completely different reaction as he laughed loudly, but his subordinates didn't laugh with him, "Wororororor!! WORororoRo!!!" It was certainly an odd laugh as gulped from a large red bottle.

"Chaos! The World will fall into Chaos!!! Find out whatever the fuck the Pantheon is, I want to toss them a sake! Worororo! let's celebrate for there will be war soon!!"

It was Kaidou of the Beasts, renowned as the world's Strongest Creature, the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates, and one of the Four Emperors that ruled over the New World.

Another one of the Four Emperors had a similar reaction, "Mamamama! THuusjn chohuase lluihjfo Chuleuhnjabrinjatijnlkng!! Soh hohfunuhuhuyy! Mamamamama! Thhujea JiParjkty!!!"

Whatever she said was a mystery as she was diving in seas of sweets, literally gulping sweets and cakes like water! Eating in such a hurry that it almost looked like her life depends on it.

Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates and one of the Four Emperors ruling over the New World, as the only female member of that group.

She is also the matriarch of the very large Charlotte Family, whose many children make up the infrastructure of her crew.

But the most strange reaction by far was that of the fourth Emperor, Red-Haired Shanks, commonly known as just "Red Hair", the chief of the Red Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors that rule over the New World.

He sailed with the Roger Pirates since he was an infant, Shanks would begin his pirate career on their ship as an apprentice alongside Buggy, before forming his own crew following Roger's death.

And he was able to rise so high as to become one of the Four Emperors, but very different than the others because, at this very moment, his crew found themselves in silence at his reaction.

The news was startling sure, but not as shocking as their Captain's reaction, someone they knew for long.

His expression was grave. His eyes spoke of violence, and he reeked of killing intent. His expression was unnerving, disturbing, and all that's in between. It was also confusing considering he's a pirate.

The World was in silence, and it stayed as such for a while, but someone else was laughing, a very weird laugh, "Ahhah, hahah, Yahaha, ahahah, yahahaha! I really did it..."

It was Yovan, seated on a platform of feathers very close to the chilling wavy ocean, feeling the sweet breeze brushing against his pale skin.

It was dark, in the middle of the night. The only source of light was the first quarter moon.

Yovan was staring at the moon with a wide smile, laughing from time to time. He seemed to have been laughing for a while now because he was already losing his voice amidst his laughs.

"God do I have some suicidal tendencies! But is it suicidal if I can't die? We always survive after all," He talked to himself, gaining an ego boost in the midst.

And it wasn't truly suicidal if he already made a few backup plans for when he will be eventually found out.

He was thinking in the long term, a few Countdowns ahead, and he has to take some risks that he was working on minimizing.

But he really did it, something never done before. Few people in the world would dare to even touch a World Noble let alone kill them yet Yovan did it, and the world shook as a result.

The World literally shook, the waves fled away from him as if a burst of something invisible erupted from him, making even the sky shudder with fear.
