Chapter 108: The Way Of The Sword I

...........

Soon, the Commentator who never shuts up, seeming more excited than anyone, announced the end of the first round, "Block One has come to an end! And we have the four last gladiators standing!"

The competition so far consists of three blocks, each with 100 contestants. A fourth block can of course be added if enough participants show up, but so far, even the third block isn't complete.

The Devil Fruit is something almost everyone desires, sure, but is it worth death? The people of Dressrosa know just how ruthless the Colosseum can be.

Let alone the overwhelming strength of some gladiators, just stepping on the stage means almost no chance of escaping because the water surrounding the stage houses some hungry creatures.

The Colosseum is set up for the spectators' amusement with everything thought out, and blood is what the spectators desire.

Regardless, of the hundred contestants, the last four that remain standing can pass to the second round.

The girl called the Undefeated Woman stood from her seat, carrying a shield and a sword with her. She was in Block Two, and it was her time to shine.

"It's hopeless..." One of the contestants of Block Three said, his words reaching Hades' ears.

"Oh, Common, it's just a scratch. How hard could that be?" Another shook his head with a laugh.

"You must not know anything about the Don... He's said to be one of the last Underworld Emperors beside Drug Peclo, the Major Undertaker; Stussy, Queen of the Pleasure District; Morgans, Big News.

It's even said that he's unreachable because to get to him, you have to go through an army, and he is one of the Strangers, so he is bound to be a monster." The contestant said.

"But it's not like we have to defeat him, right? A scratch should be doable." Another inquired.

"I hope so."

"Oh, shut up you hopeless pussy, giving up before the battle? Might as well let me help you out of the Colosseum right now!" The individual responding was a hulking man with long dark hair that is pulled back.

He has a scar running down the right side of his torso from the bottom of his thick neck.

His attire consists of an orange paludamentum, a pair of studded wristbands, dark briefs, and black boots. That's an attired somewhat shared by most gladiators. One can even say it's the classic Gladiator attire.

And he did help him out, his large grip squeezing the contestant's head and sending him out of the window, flying away.

"All of you are a bunch of cowards!! So just give up because I will be the one to go out there, and plant the Donkey's head in the ground!!! And I will be taking that fucking fruit, you hear me??!"

The man was very arrogant, and his arrogance seem to have a sort of foundation, an unstable one, but a foundation nonetheless.

"He's Spartan, a Gladiator who is capable enough to be able to win 45 fighting tournaments within the Colosseum." Green boy whispered in Yovan's ear, "He's kinda the bully of the Colosseum."

Hades didn't respond, he merely stayed there, seemingly watching the battle, but Yovan vanished. How? One might ask. Well, the Hades that's still standing is nothing but a construct of feathers, keeping him standing.

It's still under his control despite being miles away. His teleportation was instant as he appeared behind Viola in his Yovan form, wearing only white pants like before. Even his sword was left with his Hades form.

"What?" He strangely asked.

"What what?" Viola turned around and asked with confusion.

"You were looking for me, no?" Yovan asked.

"What made you think that?" Viola kept her composure, not showing any obvious reaction to his words.

"I just felt like you were seeing me. You know, like before in the sunflower field." Yovan smiled as he eyed her slightly twitching facial expression, "Is it perhaps your Devil Fruit?"

"It's rare that we have an uninvited guest! Behehehehehe! Welcome welcome!!" The most obnoxious voice resounded in the hall, coming from behind him.

The moment Yovan appeared here, three individuals appeared behind him, all here eyeing him with peculiar looks. He was, after all, in Dressrosa's Royal Palace, and he saw himself inside uninvited.

"Behehehehe, I'm Trebol, by the way!" The man was basically spitting everywhere, his obnoxious loud voice not being the worst thing about him.

Trebol was a toweringly tall hunchback who, despite his impairment, looms over Yovan, more than two feet taller than him despite Yovan's already abnormal height.

His appearance was disheveled and unkempt befitting of his obnoxiousness, and his attire consists of a long, ragged blue coat.

Yovan turned around with his face twitching, his head mechanically turned slightly left, glancing at the spit on his shoulder.

He then eyed Trebol with a weird look as the latter has yet to stop laughing, "Yahahahaha, that was funny!"

"HUh?" Trebol was startled by Yovan's unexpected burst of laughter, "What was?"

"Yahahahha," Yovan let out a final burst of laughter, one of exasperation as his left leg was hardened with Armament Haki, "Fuck off."

Viola's eyes widened right before his latest words came out of his mouth, seemingly seeing through him, but alas, she was too late, "No!"

Trebol sensed it, but he couldn't react to it. Yovan made sure of it as he used his top speed, a combination of Kiryu Hasshoken and Soru to plant his foot right on Trebol's face, sending him crashing through the castle walls.

The castle fell into silence because no one could've expected Yovan to do such a thing. Well, Viola did somehow, "Diamante! Pica! Stop! We can solve this another way!"

Trebol was one of Doflamingo's elite officers, and before Yovan stood another two who were giving him murderous looks, one taller than the other.

Standing at 17 feet in height was Diamante, occupying the Diamond seat of the Donquixote Family and is the leader of the crew's Diamante Army subdivision.

His most notable feature is a striped, orange, and red rectangular streaks that run down from his forehead, through his eyes, straight to his chin. His clothes are just as colorful.

The other is Pica, occupying the Spade seat of the Donquixote Family, and is the leader of the crew's Pica Army subdivision.

He is an extremely broad, tall, intimidating, and muscular man, wearing golden Gladiator armor. He is also quite tall, almost as tall as Diamante.

"Violet, do you know what you're saying? After what he had just done?" Diamante's tone spoke of murder and displeasure, and he strangely called Viola a different name than the one she told him.

"But young master instruc..." Perhaps she would've been able to convince them, but she didn't get the chance as Trebol came back, lunging at Yovan only to face a shield of Armament feathers.

Yovan turned around, facing Viola before lightly stroking her forehead, "Don't misbehave, and only look for me when he comes back."

"HEY!!!! COME BACK HERE!!!!!" Trebol's screams fell to deaf ears as Yovan was long gone, leaving behind a single feather, "God Damiit!!!!"

Yovan, or Hades I should say, found himself back in the Corrida Colosseum like he had never left, green boy still standing beside him.

He was surprised to find that the battle has already ended. The four winners of block Two were already decided, that's how fast they were able to get rid of everyone else.

And the Undefeated Woman was one of the four winners. Hades turned his face a bit, glancing at someone, or something in the hall, a Toy.

He sensed genuine joy coming from the Toy, something very few toys express, but this Toy in particular seemed to be proud as it eyed Rebecca.

Perhaps it sensed Hades' focus on it as it also turned around, narrowing its peculiar eyes at him. It then ran away.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!! It's time for the Third Block! May the strongest emerge victorious!" The Commentator's voice resounded through the Colosseum as the Four winners exited the stage.

It was followed by the participants from Block Three heading into the stage for the match to start, not something the peculiar Toy cared about.

It seemed to be only there for Rebecca, proof of which is the Toy meeting with the Undefeated Woman.

"Give up! Please! You can not win!" And strangely, the Toy was trying to convince Rebecca of giving up, the two seemingly very familiar with each other.

"What? Why? There is finally a chan..." The girl tried to speak back, but the Toy wasn't taking a no for an answer.

"NO! Listen to me! Give up! You can not win!!" The Toy seemed very much afraid. Of what? The girl didn't know, so she asked.

"B-but why?"

"There is som..." The Toy's words came to a halt. If you thought a Toy can not sweat, then you're mistaken because it happened right before Rebecca.

"Different," Hades who was standing right next to Rebecca remarked in a very fleeting voice, "Name?"
