Chapter 88: An Era Stranger Than Imagination I

They're basically idiots, so easy to take advantage of, but none do so out of fear. Well, Yovan just did.

"But come to think of it, did we allow you to speak, and you spoke back to us??!" The World Noble finally noticed, took him long enough.

"Don't worry, husband, I have plans for him, Kihihihihihihiki!" The lady started laughing obnoxiously as she also stood up.

Yovan simply closed his eyes as the veil closed again, allowing Disco to laugh his lungs out, "Duahahahahaha! So much! We made so much! You're really my Golden Gem!"

He laughed and laughed while Yovan remained silent. The payment was completed, and Yovan was handed over to the World Nobles' guards who will lead him to the two idiots.

"Huh? Just what the fuck is he doing?" Yovan suddenly murmured as the chains on him broke into tiny pieces, broken from the inside out.

"Something happened. See ya!" And then he scattered into a cluster of feathers, vanishing with the wind much to the dismay of the guards.

"Ah?"

"Oh no!"

"No no no no!"

"We're dead!! Find him!!"

The guards were absolutely horrified. If they don't find him, the World Nobles will just kill them, no questions asked. If things don't go as they wish, they'll let it out on anyone.

Yovan found himself in the Auction House again, looking in front of him with a very strange look.

What he found was Disco, the owner of the Auction, along with Laffitte. They were both playing around, specifically, Disco was stark naked.

Laffitte, on the other hand, was very focused on Disco's naked form with a scissor in his hand.

"What are you doing?" Yovan asked.

"AHh! I mean, ahem, doing doctor things." Laffitte said as he continued with the cutting. The scissor wasn't that sharp, so it was pretty hard.

Thankfully, Disco was already dead, so he didn't have to suffer through the pain. He didn't have to feel Laffitte's hand going inside, putting about a hundred thousand Beli in there before stitching his belly.

"Oh," Yovan finally understood what was happening, "Yahahahahaha, you still mad? Yahahahaha!"

"No no no, not mad at all," Laffitte shook his head as he started cleaning his hands and tidying up his clothes, "Of course not, no no, and nope!"

The fact that he was sold for only a hundred thousand Beli got on his nerve, so what he's doing isn't exactly his fault, it's Disco's fault for being the owner of the Auction.

"Sure," Yovan nodded before eyeing the surrounding, "Let's borrow the money. Hey! You Auction owner, just ask for your money back, and I'll give it to you, alright?"

Laffitte extended his hand to ruffle Disco's hair, and accidentally made him nod, "Good, we have a deal." Yovan nodded.

"Anyway, I will go to my new owner. I value deals, and since he paid hund-hundr-hundre-hundred thousand Beli for me, I naturally have to pay him a visit, right?" And without waiting for a response, Laffitte vanished along with the nonexistent wind.

"Not too bad," Yovan remarked before taking all the money himself which didn't take long.

There is a legitimate banking system in the world that provides checks, and World Nobles usually pay that way, especially with payments as high as 800 Million Beli, so that made things much easier for Yovan.

Yovan just triggered a disaster in Sabaody Archipelago. It's really that easy to create chaos, just make the most easily triggered individuals in the world mad, World Nobles.

If the chaos wasn't enough, not far from the Archipelago, there were about a dozen ships surrounding a black ship.

It was a bit confusing considering the ship was many times bigger than every other ship there. It dwarfed the other ships not just in size, but also in atmosphere.

There was just something about the black Ship that was very ominous, especially its figurehead.

It was that of a crow, a golden-eyed crow. Its eyes seemed to be alive, seemingly burning with golden flames that embellish the Ship in exquisite golden lines.

"Psssuu?? Wuuu? Stupid stupid stupid! La la la la Cap, here I come!!" The sound of signing reverberated throughout the surroundings. Its source was someone on the black Ship.

And well, the singing was a tiny bit atrocious. It almost made the pirates on the other ship jump into the ocean just to cool down.

The person on the ship was a blonde young man with an abnormally long nose. He was wearing a yellow beach shirt along with white shorts. It was none other than Kaku.

He continued to sing as he leaped around, using Soru. The pirates really tried. They really tried to take over the Ship, but as if there were hundreds of people in the black Ship, they found themselves faced with hundreds of massive cannonballs.

And well, it was all Kaku's doing. He was way too fast, not just because of his high mastery of Soru, but also because of his sting legs. Part of his legs literally turned into springs, allowing his speed to be way too monstrous.

He was steering the Ship and allowing it to function by himself, and despite Seizon No Hono looking very similar to how it looked before deep into the ocean, it was very different.

Kaku was left with a responsibility, to bring Seizon No Hono back to life, to bring it from the depths of the ocean, and help it survive like the Strangers always do.

"Goo! Suuuuuiiiiiii!!!" The fire burst suddenly activated, launching the Ship into the sky before starting to fall towards the Archipelago.

Kaku certainly seemed different. He seemed free and happy? He was acting very weirdly, genuinely happy and excited as the Ship landed on the Island.

The Archipelago is just a bunch of massive trees growing from the ocean. Those trees are quite special, named Yarukiman Mangrove.

Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin.

This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.

The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however, they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.

There were numerous of such bubbles above the trees, allowing Seizon No Hono to land safely, even bouncing a bit above them.

"Yahhooooo!!" Without hesitation, Kaku jumped off the Ship and started bouncing and leaping from bubble to bubble, "Kuahahahahaha!"

"Huh?" Kaku was suddenly stunned as he sensed a beam going towards him, threatening to obliterate his head.

So something weird happened. It was instant as Kaku's entire body turned into a spring, leaving only his head and legs.

The string was so thin and perfectly positioned to allow the beam to pass through him without harming him at all.

"Kaku, Traitor, Bounty, 500 Million Beli... Only Dead." Before Kaku appeared an enormous man, reaching 689 cm in height!! His hair and jacket were black, and he had a gray hat on with black paw-like prints.

"Pacifista?" Kaku murmured, knowing exactly who was before him, a human weapon developed by Marine head scientist, Dr. Vegapunk. They are cybernetic clones of the Warlord Bartholomew Kuma, who was the cyborg prototype for the project.

Indeed, Kaku betrayed the World government. It still surprised him that he actually went ahead and did it... It was unbelievable because you just do not betray the World Government!!

Well, it was Yovan's fault, he turned the Strangers from a bunch of strangers traveling together into Strangers to everyone else but each other.

"I..." Whatever he wanted to say, the Pacifista didn't want to hear it as it lifted its two hands and opened its mouth wide, releasing three golden beams at the same time.

It's almost impossible to evade them after they're launched, not with how fast the beams are, but Kaku predicted them as he was suddenly high up in the air.

His string legs complemented by Geppo allows him to move in the air with a speed that's... ridiculous.

"Rankyakaku!!!!" It's one of the six techniques of Rokushiki that allows one to create air blades, but it's different.

It was different and broken because Kaku released just about a hundred colossal Air blades at the same time!!! He constructed his strings in such a way as to allow him to rotate numerous times per second.

Destruction was brought upon the Archipelago because the colossal blades left most of it in chaos.

Kaku landed on the chaotic ground, finding the Pacifista, or its remains, numerous metallic and organic pieces spread about.

"Yovan really infected you with his chaotic energy, no?" He found none other than Kalifa standing on another Pacifista not far away. The Pacifista, however, looked strange, oddly smooth, and slippery with a hole in its head.

"Cap?????"

"Cap??????"

They both turned their head near at the same time, looking in a certain direction with stupefaction.

"Hundred thousand you bitch!? Look at me! I Laffitte, am gorgeous! Like, look, how do you not pay a few Billions for my fabulous form!! Look into my eyes goddammit!!" Their stupefaction was instantly canceled out by Laffitte.
