Chapter 95: A Tale Of A Bubble III

...........

"I would like to meet the lady of the Cafe," Yovan stated with an amused smile, the atmosphere around him changing entirely.

And he was escorted to the lady of the Cafe. They led him to a very large room as only such a room would hold someone of the lady's stature because she was big.

She was a large but curvy mermaid with purple nail polish, red lipstick, and blue eyes with slanted pupils that resemble shark eyes.

She has short black hair that covers over the right side of her face. Her tail is dark blue with a dorsal fin on her lower back where her human and fish halves meet.

She was wearing a hooded purple blouse that is only buttoned in the middle, revealing her cleavage and stomach, and a belly chain around her waist.

"Yovan Night, my pleasure." Yovan introduced himself with a smile.

And the lady did the same, "Shyarly."

She was very famous in the Fish-Man Island, respectfully called Madam Shyarly, and she was a shortfin mako shark Mermaid, the proprietor of the Mermaid Cafe.

"Leave us alone," Shyarly ordered, and the Mermaid obeyed. Even Kalifa left upon making eye contact with Yovan.

"I've heard a lot about you. A talkative bird couldn't stop talking... He said you're a fortune teller, so tell me... What did you see about me?" Yovan stated as he took a seat on a cloud of feathers, lifting him up to be eye to eye with her 17 feet form.

Shyarly flinched. It was a fleeing flinch but Yovan saw it, making him even more curious about why she'd try to kill him.

It's very known that she's a fortune teller, and she is very accurate in her predictions as according to the words of Vander, her predictions have never been known to be wrong.

But she kept her composure, "What do you want of me? I can meet all of your demands as long as you leave the Island today."

"I want you to be Poseidon." Yovan let out a smile as Shyarly's eyes widened in shock and fear.

Whatever they discussed from there on seemed to have gone well as Yovan left with a wide smile, hearing the goodbyes of the Mermaids behind him.

"Bye!!"

"Come back soon please!"

"You can visit my home any time you want!"

"Huh? Shameless! You can visit my home now!"

Yovan shook his head as he walked away with Kalifa, the latter strangely not preying on what was said at all.

"Sometimes I can't help but wonder, just what is misfortune and how does it work? And why is it so frail?" Yovan murmured absent-mindedly.

"I... Are you okay?" Kalifa had to wonder.

"No, I feel strange. My future was seen through by a fortune teller, and it certainly speaks of misfortune... I don't like it." Yovan shook his head.

"Then change it." Kalifa suggested, "And what matters above all is that we always survive, and no amount of misfortune can change that, right?"

"That was always the plan." Yovan nodded before releasing a breath, "I still feel like a bit of chaos, so let's go to the Dojo to vent a bit."

The Fish-Man Karate Dojo is a location on Fish-Man Island where the martial art Fish-Man Karate is taught. The Martial Art is actually a pride of the Island.

And Yovan was very much interested in it after hearing what Vander had to say about it. The Dojo is in Gyoverly Hills, one of the wealthier towns on Fish-Man Island.

And the Dojo was naturally the biggest infrastructure within, seeable from afar. Its surroundings were also very prosperous with plenty of Individuals moving about, especially kids that are interested in learning the Martial Art.

"I didn't think about it before, but perhaps this Martial Art will be very suitable for your Devil Fruit, so let's take a look," Yovan murmured as he entered the Dojo.

"But doesn't it require water? Can we use it?" Kalifa asked with curiosity. She also realized that she can benefit from such a Martial Art since she can control soap bubbles.

"Well, let's find out, shall we?" The people of the Dojo didn't seem nearly as afraid of him as everyone else.

"What do you want??" They found themselves faced with someone who reeks of hatred much to their surprise.

It was a grey-skinned great white shark fish-man. He had a large belly, with a spikey tattoo on the right side as well as a long scar on the left, and muscular arms and legs.

His facial features include glaring eyes, with long and distinctive eyelashes, a mouth full of sharp, triangular teeth, and a stub nose. He had long black curly hair, with a long tuft hanging on the left part of his face.

His sharp eyes were glaring at them with barely held back anger and hate, almost like they were tainting the sanity of the Dojo just by stepping in it.

Either the other Fishmen had a death wish, they're stupid, or they're blinded by their hatred because they surrounded Yovan and Kalifa, seeming ready for a fight.

"Here to witness the pride of the Island, and perhaps even learn some Karate, am I not allowed?" Yovan curiously asked.

"You are not allowed. Leave." The grey Fishman firmly said.

"Is it because it's garbage?" Yovan innocently asked, and Kalifa couldn't help but facepalm, but she also couldn't hold back a giggle at Yovan's antics.

"..."

"Say what?"

"He said what?"

"I must've misheard, right?"

"Say less." The grey Fishman was already on the verge of blowing up and acting upon his hatred, but his fear of Yovan stopped him, something negated by the latter's words.

So Yovan leaned back a little, eyeing a bullet of water that passed right by him, released by the grey Fishman.

"Jinbe is one of the Warlords of the sea, and he's one of you, no? Is he as much of a trash as you all are?" Yovan had to wonder as he easily evaded a Karate chop coming from the Grey Fishman.

"Shut up! Don't lump me with that trash!" The grey Fishman screamed as the other Fishmen joined him in attacking Yovan. The latter basically attracted all aggro while Kalifa watched from afar.

"Oh, I see! So he's actually good. That's why he was able to join the Warlords, but you're ashamed of being so trash?" Yovan concluded.

But he wasn't trash. The Karate seems to actually be very effective and dangerous because Yovan sensed the danger in their attacks.

Karate is a system of unarmed combat, using the hands and feet to deliver and block blows, focused mostly on precise strikes, blocking, and deflecting.

But its specialty goes further than that as the secret of Fish-Man Karate is mastery of the water in the user's direct vicinity.

The sea itself is a Fish-Man Karate user's most effective and powerful weapon, and the best fighters can take a few drops of water and hurl them so hard that the impact is as strong as a bullet.

The only one who seems to be able to use it, however, was the grey Fishman as he continuously released lethal water bullets from his mouth.

"You humans!!! Die! Die! Die!!" The grey Fishman screamed again and again, seemingly completely blinded by his hatred of humans to the point that so few gentle words from Yovan were able to make him act so irrationally.

It was too easy, but Yovan wasn't done just yet as he observed the Karate in action, from chops to punches and different kinds of strikes performed in unnatural smoothness.

"Yeah, you all are really just a bunch of brainless fish, Yahahaha!" Yovan went there, saying exactly what would drive them crazy.

And it especially drove the Grey Fishman crazy as he brought out a few pills from his pockets and took them all in one gulp.

Yovan narrowed his eyes at all the Fishmen around taking similar pills only to turn more monstrous, their muscles bulging up as they lunged at Yovan.

That was especially the case for the Grey Fishman as he seemingly summoned the water in a fountain not far away, basking in it before he threw the water towards Yovan.

"Die!!" But it wasn't simple water as it turned into a pack of sharks that sought to bite Yovan's head off, the result of which was the destruction of the Dojo.

The Sharks found themselves gently slapped by Yovan as he mimicked the Fishman's Karate to the best of his ability, gently deflecting them away much to the Grey Fishman's dismay.

And things only got worse from there as Yovan started using their Karate moves against them.

He certainly couldn't control water like the Grey Fishman, and he was inexperienced, but his monstrous physique made up for that as he put down more Fishmen than how many were joining.

All the while, he was evading the Grey Fishman's attack, and one picked his interest in which the grey Fishman collects the water into a glowing, blue-white orb in his hands.

So Yovan did the same but with vibrations. It was a technique he was working on for a while but he felt like something was missing... It was very unstable.

The way the water orb worked spoke of the grace of nature, and Yovan did the same creating a ball of vibrations and he let it go, allowing it to float higher and higher... It was the Tale Of A Bubble.
