Another one down

3rd Person POV

Some hours ago. While Sabo fought Sir Crocodile, Kuina had rushed at Gecko Moria, closely followed by Law.

After the first attack, which was blocked by Moria using his huge scissors, many more attempts at his life were made.

Kuina would rush at him using soru, which is giving Law the opportunity to position himself to Moria's back and attack from two directions, yet none of their attacks worked.

"Damn it!"

Kuina cursed in frustration since all her attacks were parried by the warlords weapon, while his shadow split into bats and blocked Law.

"Shishishishishi. You two aren't half bad. Why not join me instead?"

"No chance!"

"Go die!"

"Doesn't matter, since I'll make zombies out of you anyways! Shishishi!"

Even though they were fighting 2 versus one, overpowering the warlord wasn't a viable option. Meaning that the two of them had to think of another option.

"Room!"

Kuina rushed in again, the moment Law created another 'Room' but the tens of black bats came rushing at her this time.

'Soru!'

Using soru, she sped up for an instant just when the bats were about to reach her, successfully bypassing them but it wasn't good enough to reach Moria, who arrogantly watched them with a wide smirk.

Behind her, the bats had changed their form into a pitch black spear that grew longer as it shot towards Kuina, even almost impaling her.

"Shambles!"

She suddenly disappeared from her position, leaving only a stone in her place that got crushed. Kuina herself appeared suddenly next to Law.

"Shishishishi! It's pointless so just give up and become my zombies."

"Raging moonlight!"

With a loud shout, the swordswoman unleashed a long white flying slash attack bug the moving shadow, which returned to it's initial form, already stood in front of It's master.

"Shambles!"

Yet Moria didn't expect to take the shadow's place and suffer to the torso.

"ARGHH!!!"

It was deep enough to draw blood and cause him a lot of pain, but far from enough to seriously incapacitate or even kill him.

Both, Kuina and Law, noticed this instantly so they rushed forward not giving him any time to rest, yet unlike before, Moria didn't stood still waiting for them on one place.

He too, rushed at them, his expression morphed into pure rage and hatred. At the same time the shadow Moria came at them from Kuina's side.

Moria noticed how she turned towards his shadow ready to rain all kind off attacks on him, but when he looked at Law, understanding dawned on him.

Thinking to have seen through their plan of suddenly changing his positions with the shadows, the warlord got ready to counter their attacks.

"Shambles!"

His position was indeed changed when the attacks were about to clash, but this time he was ready. Instantly turning he swung his scissor blades at Law who jumped at him for some reason.

Yet, when his blade was this close to cutting him in half, Moria suffered a sudden and heavy hit to the back!

"What the fuck is going on?!"

He was right in thinking that Law would change his position again but he didn't take the shadow's position. Instead he changed positions with Kuina, who was about to clash the shadow.

The sudden hit to his back surprised him enough, to hinder him from defending against another 'raging moonlight' that hit his side.

"Counter Shock!"

*brzbrzbrzbrzbrz!*

To top it all of, an electric current ran through his body, shocking him on the spot.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! You damn brats!!"

Overcoming the shock and ignoring the damage, Kuina's attack did, he swung at the now panting and sweating Law in front of him.

The 'Room' started to fade, indicating that Law reached his limit. Despite using soru to it's fullest Kuina only managed to arrive after his side was pierced by a huge scissor blade.

Clashing with Moria briefly yet long enough to distract him from Law gave her the time to pick him up and rush away.

"You want to play tricks? I'll show you a funny trick then!"

Shadow Moria once again, split into tens of bats and flew into the distance where the unconscious zombies were lying.

The bats landed on a zombie each and bit into them, yet instead of pulling out flesh or bones, they pulled out dark silhouettes.

The dark silhouettes struggled after being extracted from the zombie but was still integrated into a bat.

Then the bats split. One became two. They repeated the process multiple times until there were hundreds of those bats.

"Shishishishi! Know I will show you true horror! Attack them!"

Upon hearing their master's command the hundreds of dark shadow bats all flew up and started chasing Law and Kuina.

"Fuck this is bad! Hey Law! You still alive!"

"Cough! Of course. Let me down I can still run!

Above them was a small army of shadow bats which they couldn't destroy or kill and from behind, a huge freak was chasing after them.

Even worse, Law felt too exhausted to create another room and use his powers. The repeated use of shambles and even counter shock at the end, was too much for the current 16 years old him.

The bats encircled them very soon and started biting away. Kuina and Law both fought back cutting and smashing bats apart but they would always come back.

On top of that Moria would hack and slash at them, whenever he came in reach. Tens of the dark bats turned into the black spears they saw in the beginning albeit smaller, but still totally taking them by surprise.

"ARRGHH!"

"WRGAHAA!"

Dodging them and Moria at the same time was to much as they pierced legs and arms, immobilizing them on the spot.

"Shishishi! Not so tough now, are we?"

The bats still bit into them and tore them apart piece by piece.

'Fuck, how I can I possibly die here?!'

Despite the situation, both of them were unwilling to give in to the despair just yet, gathering whatever strength they could muster up.

"Shishishishi!"

From both unwillingness to die and fear of everything ending here their bodies become an adrenaline factory but it was useless if they couldn't free themselves from these spears.

"R-ROOM!"

"Hoh?"

Even if they could free themselves, how could they fight now in this condition. As the new 'Room' was created, Moria swung his scissor blades, planning to kill them both now, instead of giving them a chance to pull a trick.

But was Moria failed to see was the yellow light beam, that came from a distance, arrived instantly and shot through his sternum, missing his heart by mere millimetres.

'Chance!'

Both Law and Kuina saw this as their last chance to turn the situation around.

"Shambles!"

Changing position with a bat that was flying in front of the now kneeling Moria Law focused whatever he could build up, on his opponent.

'...Don't think about it. It's either do or die!'

The light beam that pierced Moria and caused a huge explosion was their saving. Using this chance Law institutionally focused his gathered power on his opponent's heart with the intent to kill him, but what happened instead was... Moria's heart shot out of his back after Law hit his chest.

In this sudden and chaotic Situation, Kuina who changed positions with a bat behind Moria did what her instincts told her to do. Her body would normally be unable to move properly in her state but as if every injury was a lie she swung her sword.

It was the first time she felt such a... inspiration. As if the world is guiding her hand. The slash attack cut the bats in front. Split the ground. Bisected Moria's heart that suddenly flew out and even the gigantic form of the warlord split in two parts.

The tough skin, hard muscles and dense bones, that she had trouble cutting through even with her flying sword slash, offered almost no resistance at all at this moment.

The last thing she saw before falling unconscious was the proof of her improvement in the face of death.

Jackson had more than just trouble in his fight. The 4 in front of him were cornering him to such a degree that while he was full of deep and bloody wounds, they had barely light cuts or bruises.

Gion and Kuzan would always attack him together, putting him in a corner, but when he tried to retaliate, either Tsuru or Tokikake would stop him by breaking his rhythm and either deflecting his attacks or lowering their effectiveness.

His speed form helped in disengaging from Kuzan and Gion but Tokikate would would always be supported by Tsuru preventing Jackson from taking him out using his enhanced speed.

His muscle form on the other hand made his moves so clumsy that properly hitting either of them is hard in by itself yet it provided enough strength for Jackson, to force them back by using wide range attacks, and the enhanced defense would help him block both Tokikake's bullets as well as Kuzan's spears.

'It's not enough...'

thought Jackson.

'I somehow have to combine both effects into one new form!'

This is something he tried out months ago but it never succeeded. On the contrary it almost cost him his life.

Seimei Kikan might be wondrous but it was no magic, so he can't make something out of nothing with it. If he can't provide energy and nutrients the normal way, then the technique will get it in another way.

'How long would I have if used that way? 1 minute? 30 seconds? Should I just do it?'

Jackson didn't have the time to daydream as a familiar presence suddenly closed in. In a spectacular show of the frightening might of nature, lightning started falling into the area like rain causing both parties to stop for a moment and allowing Enel to materialize next to Jackson.

"A lightning logia?!"

The navy top brass was both astounded and alarmed by the intruder, yet sensing his level of strength, allowed them to calm down again.

Even with this unexpected arrival nothing would change. Yet their composure flew away when they heard the discussion between Jackson and Enel.

"How come you are here? I don't think you could have beaten Doflamingo. Also do you know what is happening to the others right now?"

"Cliffhanger"
