36 A family treasure for a family treasure

(AN: MORE CHAPERS! Since I'm quite free today and don't have much work I decided to write another one! By the way if I decide to write another one today it will most likely be a filler.)

"… so from now on she will be joining us on our journey."

"Finally another woman on the crew!"

"Another woman? I don't think you can call yourself that just yet."

"Agreed! There is a HUGE difference between the two of you right now."

"Shut it you two! Talk again after you manage two beat me in a match losers!"

While Kuina quarreled with Shachi and Penguin, Bepo stepped up and introduced himself in a normal way.

"Hello. I am Bepo the navigator. Nice having you tag along."

"Cute… I mean nice to meet you."

"Law."

"Robin."

This one just stated his name, seemingly not very interested.

'I somehow expected this from Law but still…'

"He is our doctor by the way so if you feel unwell or get injured don't hesitate to see him. Despite his bad attitude and manners he is really caring for his patients… In a way."

"What's wrong with my attitude? HUH?"

"… Sure if you say so."

"My name is Augur. I'm the sniper and will mostly be the lookout during our travels above the water. I am still a new member just like you.

"What do you mean with above the water? Will we be traveling any other way?"

"Don't ruin the surprise for her yet. It's better if she sees it for herself."

The question mark was practically written all over her face but I won't tell her that we have a sub marine since she seemingly doesn't know about it yet.

Only Sabo has still to introduce himself. Looking over to him I noticed that he seemed to be… dazed.

'Is he blushing? No way… Like there is no way!'

"This guy who seemingly forgot how to talk is Sabo our vice-captain. Don't judge him just yet he is quite capable… mostly."

"Eh? What?"

Kuina took over for him and did the introduction for Sabo.

"… I'll be in your care."

"Ah?…Ah! Yes of course you can depend on me!"

'Why do I feel like facepalming myself?'

Anyways! With this the introduction was finished and we went to sleep.

The next day, we had breakfast together before everybody left in groups to explore the city.

"Law, you're coming with me today since I might need you for something."

"? Whatever you say captain."

"Captain, do you mind if I Tag along with the two of you?"

"No you can come as well."

Augur decided to Tag with me and Law. Kuina took Robin and went to the Centre while Sabo followed them for whatever reason.

'Could it really be that he… No. there is no way. Is there?'

The other three decided to go look for something that could catch their interest, whatever that might be.

With this we all departed from the inn.

"So? Where are you taking me today?"

"We are going to the happo navy."

"The happo navy? Captain I'm still new so tell me in advance if you're going to cause trouble there."

"Can't say anything for sure. It depends on them."

"Great! I should have gone with Bepo."

"Oh come on! This will be way more interesting."

"…"

We reached the happo navy's hq relatively fast. On the entrance we were stopped logically so I told them that I want to meet Don Chijao for a deal. Sadly I was denied entrance.

"What now? Should we force our way in?"

Augur asked while holding his rifle.

"Of course not. Like I said I want to offer him a deal and causing a blood bath might not be the right move to break the ice."

"What do you Plan than?"

"You think I have a plan?"

"As far as I know you, yes you definitely have one."

"Wow didn't know our doc was paying so much attention to me. Back on topic! I wouldn't call it a plan but if we can't go and see him let's just make him come see us."

"Hm? And how will you do that?"

"My dear Augur, watch and learn."

In one moment I was having a friendly chat with my crew mates and in the next an oppressive force erupted from my body.

The guards in the happo navy's hq in front of us all collapsed as I let lose my conqueror's haki. I didn't target neither Law nor Augur but the expression on their faces changed to a solemn one the very same moment.

Almost instantly another person's conqueror's haki tried to fight back from within the head quarters, most probably Don Chijao.

I didn't keep it up for long and just stayed there in front of the entrance after the little scene I made and soon enough the boss appeared.

His face was stern without any traces of leisure that would be showing him underestimating me.

"I don't remember us meeting before. Why did you attack my happo navy?"

"Attack? Don't misunderstand, if I attacked the rude guard would have been done for. I only did this to meet you since I didn't want to storm your head quarters."

"Meet me? Why?"

"Why don't we go somewhere quite to talk about this."

"…"

He looked at me warily and then at Law and Augur. He might have been quite the strong pirate during his prime but right now I am way stronger than him so basically the happo navy is in my hands right now.

"We really aren't here to cause trouble. It's just that I don't have too much time and just so happened to have an offer that I wanted to give you."

"Hmm. Follow me."

We were led to his office, a large room with a desk, some shelves and something I suspect to be training equipment.

"What us it you want to offer me?"

"I want to buy a detailed Hassgoken trainings manual."

Don Chijao's expression immediately hardened after what I said.

"I don't think I can sell you that. It's something like a family treasure after all."

As was to be expected from someone with conqueror's haki, he wouldn't back down just because I'm stronger. That was okay since I didn't plan to offer money in the first place.

"I didn't intend to buy it with money-"

His expression became more stern. He probably thinks I'll demand him to just hand it over or something.

"Instead I can offer you another family treasure of yours."

"? What do you mean by another family treasure of ours?"

"You see, I've happened to hear a story about your past. From a time when your head was long and pointy."

I half expected him to start crying like he did in the anime after reminding him of his past but he just stayed as serious as he was from the beginning.

"You see, my friend here has eaten a rare devil fruit, that allows him to do miracles during operations. So if you agree he might be able to restore your heads form and making you able to get the treasure could only look at for so long."

"…You Are claiming something big. Something I have almost given up. How do I know this isn't a trick?"

"Why do people always think I want to trick them when I don't need to go through all this? Tell me could you stop me if I decided to get the manual myself?"

"Giving you the manual and letting Someone I haven't met before operate me are two different things to be honest. As you said yourself there is no need to offer me this so why?"

'He has a point. Sometimes people will rather believe in their doubts than in other peoples' good side, so maybe he will be less on guard if I demand something else?'

"You have something I don't have. Something that takes time and effort to build."

"A fleet?"

'I'm not really interested in a fleet but whatever floats your boat.'

"Let's just say I would expect you to return the favor in the future if I asked you to. Do you agree?"

He didn't answer for a while, clearly trying to think this through in detail.

"I agree."

"Great! Law, see wether you can restore his head's shape!"

Don Chijao let himself get checked by Law and soon the later confirmed that it can be done. Around evening everything was finished and his grandson saw us off with the manual in one hand and a den den mushi for contacting the Don in the other.

With this I finished everything I wanted to do in west blue and we could soon set Sail again
