208 Reunited With Him

"Holy shit....." Garp took a good look at the damage Shanks' attack caused. At the center of the island, there was a massive neverending chasm which was from the red haired captain's Divine Departure attack.

In the deep dark chasm was where Akainu lied.

Kizaru witnessing this, tried to pierce Shanks with a couple of lazer beams but he suddenly had pistols pointed at his head.

He glanced to his left to see Benn glaring at him.

"Don't move a muscle, Kizaru." Benn threatened menacingly before Kizaru raised his hands.

"Ooh~ Dearie me~ Benn Beckman in the flesh~" Kizaru greeted Benn.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Kid growled as he looked at the large ship approaching Marineford.

It was the main ship of the Red Hair Pirates, the Red Force.

"Red Haired Shanks!?" Bonney's jaw dropped at the sight of Shanks. Shanks stopped infusing Conqueror's Haki to his blade before sheathing it.

He looked at the ground and hummed, noticing Luffy's straw hat lying below his feet. He picked it up and put it close to him.

"I've come, to end this war!" Shanks declared seriously. Garp clenched his fists as he kept looking at Shanks.

"That red haired brat, the one who got Luffy into this mess in the first place! " Garp growled angrily.

" His skirmish with Kaido was only yesterday, and now he's showed up here....." Smoker whispered while consoling Tashigi by gently patting her on the back.

With Shanks' presence, the battle has temporarily stopped and all eyes were on him. The world was watching this in disbelief at the Yonko's presence.

"Captain, he's after that submarine that has Whitebeard in it! The sea's freezing over! " Lucky shouted while munching on a piece of meat. Shanks glanced over and saw Aokiji freezing the sea as Law's submarine made the dive into it.

"Looks like he's not done yet." Benn muttered as Kizaru appeared in midair before crossing his arms in front of him.

"Yasakani no Magatama!" Kizaru used those arms to fire a torrent of deadly light beam at the diving submarine.

"They just don't quit, don't they?" Yasopp commented while polishing his sniper, reading to shoot down Kizaru at the moment Shanks orders him to.

Meanwhile, Hancock sensed that they are still alive and forced orders for a Marine ship to chase the submarine, covering that 'Whitebeard must be destroyed at all costs'.

"Hawkeye, where are you going?!" One Marine shouted at Mihawk. Mihawk glanced at him.

"I consented to participating in the campaign against Whitebeard, but Red Hair was not part of the bargain." Mihawk replied before walking away.

The pirates who had already escaped to their respective pirate ships, watched as Shanks stared down the Marines. Sengoku with Garp by his side walked up to Shanks and they stared down each other.

"Just like that brave Marine said, if this battle goes on any longer, it will only result in further meaningless casualties on both sides. If there is anyone out there who thirsts for more...." Shanks emitted a wave of Conqueror's Haki as his crew gathered around him.

He unsheathed his blade and black lightning crackled around it.

"Step forward!! We will be your opponents!!!" Shanks declared seriously. He looked at Sengoku who matched his seriousness.

"These pirates and these Marines.....We will ensure that everyone on either side have the burials they deserve. I hope you do to, all of them have done enough. "

" Footage of this battle has already been broadcasted all over the world. I will not allow the Marines to parade their deaths any longer."

" Please, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I am asking very nicely here. Please end this war, or you will have another one on your hands immediately." Shanks narrowed his eyes at Sengoku who narrowed his eyes as well.

Sengoku made the decision.

"Very well! Seeing as it's you, Red Hair, I will end this war. I will take the responsibility. " Sengoku replied. Shanks nodded.

"You have my thanks." Shanks replied as he and his crew walked away from Sengoku.

"TEND TO THE INJURED AT ONCE!!! THIS WAR IS OVER!!!!"

Shanks walked up to the ship Luffy was on. Luffy was ordering Buggy and some of the Impel Down escapees to stop streaming the battle before he noticed the man.

"I believe you dropped this, Luffy." Shanks smiled as he handed Luffy the straw hat. Shanks was surprised when Luffy immediately hugged him.

"It's nice to see you again, Shanks. I missed you, you know." Luffy whispered. Shanks smiled and put the hat back on Luffy's head before he hugged him back.

"It's nice to see your face again Luffy. And thankfully this time it's not through bounty posters." Shanks joked as he and Luffy shared a loving hug. Luffy laughed as he released the hug.

"Where has Whitebeard gone to, Luffy? Why is he in the submarine?" Shanks asked him.

"Oh, he's getting his illness treated by Tora-o. This time it's gonna work, the only thing he has to do after that is cut down on the alcohol consumption." Luffy explained. Shanks chuckled.

"He'll be having a hard time doing that, trust me. So where to now?" Shanks asked as Hawkins, Bege, Drake and Apoo arrived on the ship's deck with a bunch of men carrying giant bags behind them.

"You guys got everything?" Luffy asked them. Apoo gave him the ok sign.

"We robbed everything from the Marine Headquarters just like Bege planned. We got everything. Maps, different versions of Den Den Mushi, Log Poses, Eternal Poses to different islands, weapons, Berry, communication devices....Heck, we even got gold from a vault. To put it simply, we just took whatever we think was important." Bege explained before grabbing something from his pocket.

"We even found this, Straw Hat." Bege revealed as he threw something round at Luffy who caught it.

"Is this... A Devil Fruit?" Luffy whispered as he looked at the oddly shaped fruit in his hand. Bege nodded.

"Yes, it's the Bomu Bomu no Mi to be exact." Bege explained. Luffy grinned and looked at Bege.

"And you want me to keep it?" Luffy asked before Bege nodded.

"All of the captains in our alliance are all Devil Fruit users, so we decided to give it to the captain who did the most work in the battle." Bege replied. Luffy hummed.

"But without Law teleporting us all around the battlefield we would've been.... Eh, nevermind." Luffy shrugged as Bege deadpanned at him when he started mumbling.

"I know someone who'll put this to good use." Luffy smiled as he thought about a certain weapons expert in his crew.

"Alright, you guys go put all the loot in the storage room while I decide the island we go to cool down for a bit." Luffy muttered while Shanks watched all of this with a smile on his face.

' You've grown up a lot, luffy.' Shanks thought as Bege gave Luffy a bag full of Eternal Poses. Luffy dug through the bag.

"Let's go here then." Luffy smiled as he picked up an Eternal Pose. A second later, Marco and Ace landed on his ship.

"Where are you taking Pops?" Marco asked hastily.

" I just found an island to lie low in. I'm gonna contact Tora-o, tell him to stop moving before we catch up with him, then we're gonna go there." Luffy explained before he stretched out his arm to grab a Den Den Mushi.

"We're all going with you." Ace quickly replied as Luffy started dialing Law's number.

"What?" Luffy was confused at Ace's decision.

"Yeah, we're not about to leave pops alone by himself." Marco replied.

" When you say 'We're all going with you', what do you mean by that?" Luffy asked them as Jinbe manned the helm and they started sailing away from Marineford.

"We're all going with you." Ace said as she looked at all of the ships allied with Whitebeard. Luffy whistled at the amount of the ships journeying with them.

"Alright then. You're all coming with us." He mumbled. Marco pointed at the Eternal Pose in Luffy's hand.

" Where are you guys going anyways?" The phoenix man asked him. Luffy handed Marco the hourglass-like device before Marco looked at the name of the island it pointed towards.

Marco immediately looked back at Luffy.

"Are you trying to kill us?!"

"I can't believe we're still heading there." Ace muttered as she was on the Moby Dick which was following Luffy's ship taking the lead. Luffy looked back at the amount of Whitebeard's ships following him before looking back at Jinbe.

"They're really loyal to him, huh?" Luffy commented. Jinbe nodded.

"That they are. But quick question Luffy-kun, why are the Red Hair Pirates following us?" Jinbe asked while looking at the Red Force sailing beside their ship.

"I invited them to me and Ace's wedding, so instead of wasting time to go back to the New World and back here, they decided to follow us and maybe help us with the preparations of the wedding." Luffy explained. Jinbe hummed and nodded before an enjoyable silence followed.

Jinbe froze for a moment before he quickly started repeating the sentence Luffy said in his head. After a few seconds he widened his eyes in shock and immediately looked at the straw hat wearing man.

"LUFFY-KUN! YOU WERE SERIOUS ABOUT MARRYING HER?!!"

"Course I was Jinbe—Wait you thought I was joking?! I don't joke around with that kind of stuff man!! What kind of guy do you take me for?!" Luffy looked at Jinbe, shocked and offended that the Fish Man thought of him that way.

"N-no, I didn't mean anything by that! It's just, when and where do you want the wedding to be? Do you even know how much people are you going to invite?" Jinbe asked, a little bit concerned at the boy's carefree, straightforward attitude.

"I already know who I'm gonna invite. The rest can be decided at a later date. We have weeks to prepare until Whitebeard fully recovers from his surgery." Luffy replied before looking at Jinbe.

" You're invited by the way." Luffy added, surprising Jinbe. Luffy grinned and patted his back.

"Don't think to much about it, just wear your best outfit and be there."

" A-alright. Thank you, Luffy-kun."

" Don't sweat it, Jinbe. Shishishishishi!!"
