6 Heist

Luffy was punching the punching pads held up by Gyatsu nonstop. Gyatsu was teaching him a fighting style called boxing.

It involves strategically punching an opponent while defending yourself from their return punches. It also requires loads of footwork.

Luffy has been going at it for an hour without stopping for a single second. He was releasing his anger into punching the pads as hard as he could.

Meanwhile, Garp was watching his grandson showing the punching pads no mercy while hiding in a giant bush that barely hid someone his size.

He had fallen asleep halfway but he woke up a few minutes later to see that Luffy was still punching the punching pads.

He was staring at Gyatsu who was holding up the punching pads, switching them to different positions and guiding Luffy on which hand to use when punching them.

Garp noticed that Luffy quickly adapted to the position switching of the pads and started beating the crap out of them after getting used to it for a few seconds.

"He would make a great marine. A shame the brat wants to be a pirate though...." Garp grumbled while digging for gold in his nose. Eventually, Luffy got tired as he dropped to the ground, panting. Gyatsu smiled and put down the punching pads gently.

"How was it? Do you still feel angry?" He asked him. Luffy shook his head.

"I don't anymore. I feel excited!" Luffy grinned. Gyatsu raised a curious eyebrow at him but didn't question why he felt that way.

"Excited? It seems you're the one that has something wrong in the head." Garp grinned as he came out of his hiding spot. Luffy jumped up and looked at Garp in shock.

" Grandpa! How did you even find this place?!" Luffy asked him. Garp grinned at him.

" Because your grandpa's awesome! You'll be able to learn how if you join the Marines! Bwahahaha!!!!" Garp laughed at Luffy's deadpan. Then he looked at Gyatsu who was smiling at him.

"And there's the matter with you. Who the hell are you?" Garp pointed at him. Gyatsu bowed a little.

"Greetings, Vice Admiral Garp. My name is Gyatsu and I am Luffy's teacher." Gyatsu introduced himself politely.

"Why do you feel the need to teach my grandson huh?! That's my job when he becomes a Marine!" Garp argued. Gyatsu smiled.

"I'm sorry to say but the boy has his own dreams whether you like it or not. I took it personally to teach him because I believe he can accomplish it." Gyatsu replied confidently.

"What are your dreams, brat?" Garp asked Luffy. Luffy grinned confidently.

"I'm gonna be the King Of The Pirates and find the One Piece! Shishishishi!!!" Luffy declared happily. Garp was irritated, he thought Luffy was going to say he was going to become the Greatest Marine ever.

"Oh yeah? Well you're going to get this Fist Of Love!" Garp grinned as he shot his fist towards Luffy who quickly reacted.

Luffy jumped back and he was shocked to see Gyatsu grabbing Garp's fist with his palm.

"There is no reason to do that, Garp-san. He is a child and you will not put any unnecessary trauma on him." Gyatsu looked at him seriously. Garp looked at Gyatsu and sighed.

He didn't want to waste his energy arguing with a monk, especially with one looking so enlightened. He's also on vacation.

Suddenly, both Garp's and Luffy's stomach growled loudly. They laughed as Gyatsu chuckled.

"C'mon, brat! Let's go back to the bar and have dinner!"

" Okay!! See ya tomorrow, old man!!! "

" See you tomorrow, Luffy, Garp-san. Have a good night you two. "

.

.

That night, Luffy was being tucked in the bed by Makino. She kissed him on the cheek and said goodnight to him before leaving his room.

Luffy still didn't get why she would kiss him on the cheek. "Wait a minute, isn't that what grown ups do to other grown ups?" Luffy asked out loud before shrugging. He'll ask Gyatsu about this tomorrow.

Luffy tried to sleep. He usually falls asleep within a few seconds of lying on the bed, but tonight was different.

He didn't feel an ounce of sleepiness and he didn't understand why. So Luffy decided to talk out loud.

"How does grandpa's punch break the floor? Can he do what the old man does as well? Grandpa knows so much about everything too. Maybe he has a secret stash of scrolls or something. That's it!! " Luffy widened his eyes and jumped out of his bed.

He quickly put on his sandals and jumped out of his bedroom window. Luffy started running towards Garp's ship. And thus started his late night adventure to Garp's ship.

Garp's ship is a battleship-class vessel. His ship's crow nests are shaped like a dog house and the figurehead is shaped like a dog head, which has a bone in its mouth. There are many sails for this ship, with the masts shaped like bones with dog-paws.

The overall vessel has a dog theme. One of the major front sails bears the marking HQ-03 under the marine markings.

There are conveyor belts on board the ship to supply Garp with cannonballs, which, when launched with Garp's superhuman strength, surpasses the force of a cannon.

A big staircase leads up to the figurehead of the ship, as it doubles as a launching platform for Garp's hand-thrown cannonball barrage, and thus the ship has no front cannons.

Luffy arrived in front of where the ship was docked. He hummed, thinking about ways to get on that ship.

He saw the giant anchor on the side of the ship that was lowered to the seabed so that the ship didn't drift away.

Luffy grinned, he quickly ran around the dock to find a small boat and a paddle. He found them lying around a small warehouse.

Luffy gritted his teeth as he pushed the small boat down to the water. He then jumped on it and grabbed the paddle.

He started paddling slowly, this was his first time paddling a boat so he was nervous, but he got the hang of it.

[Paddling Lvl 1

Move through the water in a boat using a paddle or paddles. Stamina decreased by 5% when paddling.]

Luffy grinned widely as he saw the new skill that appeared on the floating screen in front of him.

"So things like this can become a skill too? Hmm....." Luffy now had all sorts of ideas, but he put them at the back of his mind for now. He needed to focus on his main mission, which was to plunder his grandpa's knowledge stash until there was nothing left.

He arrived in front of where the anchor was. He stopped paddling and grabbed a rope on the boat.

He then tied around the metal chains of the anchor and around the wooden post of the small wooden boat. Now, it won't drift away when Luffy wants to make his escape.

Luffy breathed in and out and looked at the metal chains of the anchor. He grabbed them with both hands and started climbing it.

It was difficult, so much so that Luffy wanted to give up halfway. But he immediately slapped that thought away.

"If I wanna get stronger and complete my dreams, then I'll have to do this! "

Determined, Luffy started climbing the chain quickly while gritting his teeth. He reached the top and immediately got onto the deck of the ship. He laid on top of it and breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Haaa....." Luffy grinned, feeling proud of himself. He took a breather for a few minutes before getting up. He noticed that no one else was here patrolling around the boat.

Luffy shrugged, not caring. It just made his heist easier. He explored the boat, stumbling upon the kitchen.

He ate some food from the pantry before continuing. He arrived in front of the door to what seems to be the office of the ship. Luffy slowly opened the door and snuck in.

Thankfully, no one was in the office. Luffy grinned like a Cheshire Cat and started rummaging the office.

He found and opened a box which had a lot of small books in it. Luffy picked it up and read the title of the book.

'Garp's Diary Pt.1' was what was written as the title of the book. Luffy knew what a diary was, he saw Makino writing in it the other day.

"Wait. If it's part one, there must be more." Luffy muttered and searched through the box again. He was right, there were loads of Garp's diaries in the box.

He grinned broadly. This was what he needed. He put everything back and packed it. He continued searching for stuff in the office.

He came across some boring books on the bookshelf. But there was a book called 'Newly Updated Bounties'.

Luffy took that, he wanted to know how strong and how infamous his future competition was.

He also took a book called 'All You Need To Know About The Marines'. He wanted to know why his grandpa wanted him to be a marine so much.

Lastly, he took a book called 'Devil Fruit Encyclopedia '. He didn't know what Devil Fruits were, but he was interested in it so he took it.

After packing the books in the box full of diaries. He looked at a door inside of the office.

Luffy went and opened it. He found himself in a small storage room full of mundane stuff. There were swords and boxes.

"Hmm?" Luffy hummed as he looked at a sword that was put on a sword stand. Luffy took it and looked over it.

It was a normal-sized cutlass with a slightly curved blade, with a saw hamon pattern adorned on the sides of the blade.

It possesses a yellow hilt with diamond shape pattern, a golden guard, as well as a thinner hand guard running atop the hilt and a black sheath.

"It's kinda heavy and looks super cool. Heh! I'm taking it!" Luffy grinned broadly before taking the cutlass and the box full of books.

The heist in his opinion was a success. He was about to throw the box and sword onto the wooden boat but then a large shadow towered over him.

"Whatcha doing over here in this time, brat!
