53 Baratie
"Ugh..." Yosaku and Johnny groaned. They were bloodied and were lying on the deck of the Going Merry.
The bounty hunter duo were easily defeated by Fullbody who entered the restaurant with his date in hand.
"He's good." Yosaku commented.
"We lost by a single hair." Johnny grumbled. Some wanted posters fell out of him.
"What's this, Johnny?" Zoro asked. Nami knelt down and picked up one of the wanted posters.
"It's the wanted list. It's a very good business. If we can kill those people, we will get the money. Is something wrong? " Johnny asked. Luffy ignored the conversation and looked at Nami.
She was looking at a wanted poster of a fish man called Arlong the Saw who has a bounty of 20,000,000 Belly. Luffy narrowed his eyes as he saw her clenching it tightly and gritting her teeth.
'Wait. Isn't that the guy who conquered the Conomi Islands with his crew? Is Nami from there or something? ' Luffy asked in his mind. He then widened his eyes.
'Wait a minute, so maybe that's why she wants to have a 100 million Belly to buy a village!! She wants to save her people from Arlong!' Luffy realized and calmed down.
'It's probably not the right guess. I'll have to ask her later. First, I gotta deal with this. ' Luffy narrowed his eyes as the Marine Ship started pointing their cannon at his ship.
"Leave that to me!!" Luffy shouted.
*BANG!!!*
Luffy using Soru, appeared in front of the cannonball. He grabbed it and threw it away nonchalantly. He then used Geppo to stand above the ship.
He then stretched his right leg high into the air. "Gomu Gomu no....."
"WAR AXEEEEEE!!!!"
He brought it crashing down via a high-gravity stomp on the ship. The leg smashed through the middle of the ship, breaking it in half. Luffy then used Geppo and landed back beside his crew.
As the Marine Ship was sinking, Luffy grinned at his crew who looked at him with shock in their eyes.
"C-captain Luffy. Do you know where you threw that cannonball?" Kaya stuttered out her question.
"I dunno. Why? What happened?" Luffy asked her. Everyone pointed at the direction where the Baratie was at. Luffy looked at it and blinked.
"I'm fucked....." Luffy cursed.
Luffy had redirected the cannonball into the Baratie's roof. Luffy sighed and scratched the back of his head.
"I'll take responsibility for that. Just wait here."

Luffy landed on the destroyed roof of the Baratie. He jumped into the hole and looked around. It was a normal looking bedroom.
"Ryoricho Gisoku Kick!!!"
Luffy widened his eyes as he saw a powerful horizontal kick with the tip of a peg leg coming towards him.
Luffy kicked towards the peg leg with his right leg.
*BOOOM!!!*
Their kicks clashed, creating a massive shockwave that shook the room. Luffy looked at the person and grinned.
It was an elderly-looking man who still retains his blonde-colored hair, which he keeps underneath his extra-long chef's hat.
His mustache has grown considerably long, and he grew a beard. He wore his chefs uniform, with a blue ascot, and white apron. He seemed to have lost his right leg so he has a peg leg as a replacement.
'So this is the strength of Zeff, the head chef of the Baratie! ' Luffy grinned as he and Zeff jumped back and stared at each other.
"Owner Zeff!!"
Several cooks barged into the room and panicked as they saw a bleeding Zeff facing head to head with someone unknown.
Zeff held up his hand. "I'm fine! Just go back and get to work! I'll deal with this one on my own!" Zeff glared at them. The chefs trembled and saluted him.
" Yes Owner!" They shouted together before running out of his room. Luffy grinned at Zeff.
" You have some funny workers here. " Luffy pointed out. Zeff snorted before laying back against his bed.
" You're the one who threw the cannonball right?" Zeff asked.
"Yes! I'm very sorry for hurting you! Can you forgive me?" Luffy apologized by bowing respectfully. Zeff shook his head.
"I'm fine, kid. And in order to forgive you, you'll have to work here for one year. " Zeff smirked at Luffy who widened his eyes.
" Nuh Uh old man! " Luffy declared, making Zeff raise a curious eyebrow at him.
" Why not? One year is nothing for youngsters like you. " Zeff asked. Luffy shook his head repeatedly.
" I simply cannot waste time being your employee. I have a pirate crew and I wanna be The King Of The Pirates!" Luffy argued. Zeff crossed his arms.
'King Of The Pirates huh. Impressive. ' Zeff thought to himself and sat up straight.
" Well, I don't give a shit. I'm the boss here, and what I say goes. So when I say you work here for a year, you do it. " Zeff grinned evilly at him. Luffy huffed and crossed his arms. Then he had a bright idea and grinned.
" How about this old man! I'm gonna cook a meal for you! If it's delicious, I'll only work here for a day!" Luffy suggested. Zeff laughed hysterically.
" You don't look like the cooking type kid! Why are you even here anyways?! " Zeff asked him with an amused grin. Luffy grinned.
" I'm here to recruit your sous chef, Sanji to my crew. " Luffy explained, making Zeff confused.
" Sanji? Why him—
"Owner Zeff!!"
A chef barge into Zeff's room again. Zeff hummed and looked at him.
" Sanji... He.... He beat up another customer again! This time is Lieutenant Fullbody! " The chef reported. Zeff stayed silent for a second before groaning and palming his face.

" A restaurant has to welcome customers instead of hurting them! What is the meaning of this!! " Someone shouted at another person.
The person shouting was a large, muscular man with somewhat-oversized forearms (his left upper arm bearing two heart tattoos), prominent lips, and black hair formed in an elaborate goatee around his chin.
His Baratie uniform is heavily customized, consisting of a dark double-breasted shirt, matching shorts, and a white apron; these are accompanied by a pink ascot, an earring in his right ear, and a braided hachimaki headband.
His name is Patty and he is one of the main cooks at the Baratie, currently serving as the restaurant's head pâtissier.
"He is a customer, so what? He just insulted the chef by playing with his food. I just taught him a lesson. " The man Patty was shouting at replied nonchalantly.
His name is Sanji and he is a sous chef doubling as a waiter of the Baratie.
An extremely bloody Fullbody sat up. "What the hell?.... What kind of restaurant... treats its customers this way.... I will destroy this place! I will tell the government to shut it down!!" Fullbody declared. Sanji looked at him while having a cigarette at the corner of his mouth.
"You want to shut us down? I can't let you live now....." Sanji threatened him, shocking Fullbody.
"Stop this, assistant chef!!" The chefs watching this scene shouted. Sanji wanted to rush towards Fullbody but they quickly held him back.
"I'm really pissed off right now!!" Sanji shouted while struggling to escape the chefs holding him back.
"Everyone stop him or he'll kill that man!!"
" I really can't stand idiots like you!!" Sanji shouted angrily.
" That's enough Sanji!! Stop it!!"
"Just who the hell do you think you are!?" Sanji glared at Fullbody menacingly.
Just then, two people crashed through the roof. It was Luffy and Zeff. Zeff groaned as he clutched his head.
"Ow...." He grumbled. Luffy stood up, unharmed and seemingly unfazed. He patted the dust off him and then glared at Zeff.
"Why the hell did you dropkick me for, ya one legged bastard!?"
